I came here for the Isom coverage and I stayed for the aliens
I really want to go see this movie now and talk to people about UFOs, nice review.
I like the part where you showed how bad the ship looked vs how well it was used.
It really doesn't take a fortune to make movies, though you will need to be a talented filmmaker.
Very detailed review, can't wait for the next one.
btw the duration is pretty on point, did you have to leave out a bunch?
Nope, the plot beats are all there. I'm still working on a better way to try and streamline my summaries but still make it where everything that is important to the main plot is there. I've already completed the script for my next movie review, which will come out in January, and there's this long digression the movie goes in that has nothing to do with the main characters and does nothing to move the main plot forward that I left out of the summary. I do go back to that chunk during the review portion just to talk about how it's all dead weight that can be cut.
hmm 400 subscriber channel with a high quality 600 view video?
why yes I will subscribe
I remember, as a young baby child person, having a friend named Jesse. (Ironic, no?) We were both pretty obsessed with aliens. He sent me a VERY butchered version of the remake of this movie (it was like a 13 minute clip of disjointed pieces of the film) and we spent a [AMOUNT OF TIME REDACTED FOR DIGNITY PURPOSES] believing it was real.
OH MY GOD, IT'S MY LONG LOST CHILDHOOD FREN PK!!! 😜
The remake has a few things I like but I feel it's quite inferior to this one. I'm gonna wait a year or so before covering it.
I first saw the original when i was a kid and it scared the shit out of me, i too was fooled into thinking it was real but by the time i saw the remake i found it laughably tame😂😂😂
six candles on the fifth birthday is normal tho? you get as many as years old you are and then one to grow on, for like good luck?
good vid tho, i rly enjoyed it and am excited to see more :) ty ty for your hard work!
@@OhNoJeszilla
after thinking about it for like 2 seconds i have never seen a cake for a one year old with 2 candles on it but we def had "one to grow on" when we were kids
a weird wrinkle in birthday-culture
@@JacquesLeChat Huh, it was interesting when you first mentioned it. I'll just take that as different households and even different parts of America having their own traditions.
I remember as an elementary kid going to someone's birthday party and thinking it was weird that they had the candles that totalled their age plus a decorative number candle making the total on more than their actual age and thinking it was weird. Guess they did the same.
I love the movie, it was my first alien movie I ever saw!
So why is it called The Mcpherson Tape? Did I miss that part?
It comes from a misconception. The mafe for TV remake done for UPN featured a family named McPherson. Through confusion, the original ended up with that as its unofficial and more popular title.
600 views and 400 subs? goddamn
Brand new channel so it'll take a bit. I was flattered when my first vid had 100 views and gained me 10 subs. I can't believe that I have over 400 subs and 750 views at this writing.
I remember this it was on detroit fox in the early to mid 1990s.
I only heard about it recently. I think it was a Good Bad Flicks video over the summer that brought this to my attention.
1:58 uh, yeah... one to grow on? Duh..... You always do one more than the age.
If you want to see a crazy found footage movie i recommend Project X. Its a movie that uses the same concept but as a comedy about three friends going to a house party that ends up going off the rails
