This is so great. My favorite album of all time. My first taste of Metallica and opened to all their other stuff but still my fav after years of listening to heavier stuff I’ve come back to realize I still prefer their rock above all even as epic and legendary as their trash metal is. Wish pop didn’t lash out at them so hard claiming to be OG fans causing the whiplash of St. Anger and Desth Magnetic (magnet isn’t awful like anger is but it’s no Load/Reload and who knows what other epic rock we could have had).

I remember before itunes existed, my dad had load and reload in his toyota camerys cd holder. I heard their previous albums, this one had a totally separate vibe compared to the others. This one had it's own atmosphere. It had a lot of soul and it was surprisingly chill to listen to compared to the others which were much more angry and dark. I would say those two albums were metallica's last best records before they got older. Every song was catchy and just smooth. Not saying everything they do now is bad. But i would say this was the end to their peak, in my opinion.

I personally don’t have a problem with load and reload. You have to evolve as a band or you’re gonna end up being irrelevant pay attention to all of your favorite bands. If they didn’t evolve they’re not around anymore even Megadeth tried a different tempo with risk and super collider one band that didn’t change or try to evolve a slayer and where are they right now Anyway, I guess it comes down to is your own personal opinion somebody said that they think the live version of load is Hadfield best live voice that’s their opinion I personally think he sounded the best during the late part of ride the lightning, and into master of puppets era just my opinion

How times flies 😔 i remember load come out when i was 12 years old. Really love it that time. Now we are all old. Especially them. Regardless whatever people say bout em, Metallica always become part of my live since i was 9 years old. Now im 40 and still love em!
