Great vid🤍!I usually skip a lot but your voice is really relaxing I lisent till the end of the vid.I wanted to check and see what happend to the game because I missed metal slug 2.And I see they made this game.I was expecting that they put ads in and that is 3D.But they didnt change it that much.I bet they will soon.I get that over the year people like more and wont play the same version over and over but they could have kept the art style.And its dumb they made it gacha...ALSO the voices sound like ai generated and are really bad😭.I will play older versions.But overall I think the game is alright.Older are classic and the vibe is there.Btw Happy new year!

That's the only compliment you can give the game. At least on Xbox, all dlc maps are dead and the bacta/jetpack spam and getting spawn killed in walker assault by starfighters just isn't fun at all. Also, the game severely lacks single player content like Instant Action from the original games. Battlefront 2 (2017) is ALOT better than this game

I wrote my backlog physically on a piece of paper with a progress bar based on the amount of Worlds or Chapter a game has. It’s been super satisfying to see the bars increase, especially since I’m getting sick of using my computer and phone all the time for everything.

I think most of the advice in this was pretty good and it's stuff that I also do. The one thing that I would add on top of this is that whenever I have free time to play a game but I just stare at my backlog list and don't feel like launching anything in particular, I just go alphabetically and launch whatever's at the top. Most of the time I'll end up immersed and enjoying it in the first couple hours. If I don't however, then I give it another shot later or I just removed it from my main backlog and add it to an optional backlog list that I have. In summary this basically just eliminates the issue of having too many choices in front of you, which I find is a pretty rough problem to deal with when going through your backlog.

Backloggd is way too critical of games imo. Good video tho (although i wouldn’t suggest suggesting people with a backlog to ”be more impulsive”, since that’ll just lead to more purchases…)

Since I have a trap coming on the way I'm thinking that at some point I will be forced to switch my game from being a total completionist. I think during that time I will probably switch up to experiencing games for what they are and not focus so much on completely but it remains to be seen how I'll manage that OCD.

Great video as always! It's really important to know when to let something go to play the other game and as you said, you can play that game another time when you feel like it. Another tip I would add that is that for me I think it's important is to try to play more consistently and that it is okay to just play for half an hour. I really like to just start games when I have free time for a long periods but that never happens so I would say try to start and play a little every day. That also helps not playing 30 hours in april and then just another 30 hours in october and then I forgot everything from the story and just want to replay it again.

Steam for me personally, you can tell if someone’s cheating their achievements, and we have better games

raided every single week in first Classic. Had full tier 3 bis Warlock. I'm enjoying this run by just playing casually on a new class. I don't want to raid again. I got very lucky in first classic by finding a guild with lots of high skill players who were not sweaty at all. I have no expectations of being able to find such a guild again.

Great video! I just started achievement "hunting" casually on steam by completing two small indie games both of which I really loved and made me feel very proud: Mark of the Ninja and Death's Door. I'm considering starting achievement hunting more deliberately but I'm only interested in a curated set of well crafted indie games. Just like you said. I'm now going through Little Nightmares which has an horrendous "deathless speedrun" achievement which honestly may make or break my resolution. bro you level fast af. i am currently lvl 26. i feel like i am missing out on the bandwagon. should i just quit or keep going. i really wanna experience vanilla. the reason imo that I am so slow is cuz i wanna level up professions as i go and it slows me down slightly but i feel like if i don't craft my own gear i will level even slower with items and weapons that are 10 levels behind me.. im on same server and i play every day for like 4 hours and only lvl 26 lul.. smh😢

literally can not disagree enough. collections and achievements are just a way to distract you from the lack of content while keeping you paying to NOT play the game in any meaningful way.

The issue I find with many live service games is that they turn gaming into a job. People are already working 40 hours plus and generally doing crap they don't want. Taking that environment and applying it to the gaming space, harvesting time and energy for corporate metrics like peeps have been strapped into the Matrix, is absolute bullshit. It's one thing if someone is getting legit enjoyment out of an online experience, but the level of psychological nonsense that's being used to try and get people addicted to cycles of play is outright disgusting.

I personally don't see any point in getting all achivements, as most of them only get you achievement points and no actual reward. I was hunting achievements until last year as I realised, that it's a treadmill without much reward. But on the other hand, it's fun to get those achievements which get you special rewards. And additionally: Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time. So every player should do, what gets him/her the biggest enjoyment.

You are somewhat wrong about the story being just that 1:30h long quest, you need to grind reputation with each Hex member through bounties or through the dating sim game to unlock the finale to the quest. Which is kind of annoying especially since it's time gated content (tho I had a surprisingly large amount of fun with the dating sim dropping nuggets of lore every now and then) There's also the delayed half part of 1999 that is the infested lich confrontation that was teased in the quest...

There is a whole nother part to 1999 that got delayed to next year because its not ready yet
