Great video! The accelerated patch/raid releases might be hard to keep up with as a casual player, but I'm really looking forward to TBC, so as long as I have a level 60 by next year I'll be happy, lol.
Considering it's only a year long and it takes most people weeks or months to level up, plus the community being very unfriendly to casuals, I'd say no it's not
As a casual player who can only play randomly.. i cant be in a guild with set raid times cuz of work hours but... yes its worth !!!!!! it ill just pug or battleground at 60.

I tried Cata after it was released. But to me nothing beats classic, even if I’m alone on an empty realm but that’s just my preference.

Sod is casual, speed plus simplicity. Retail takes skill and knowledge and time. Fresh requires tons of time. I play all of it and enjoy them for different reasons. One is not better than another just different. It’s all subjective
Totally worth. Most people are leveling at thier own pace and not rushing like in 2019. There are still the sweatiest but not nearly as much as last fresh. This is a TBC waiting room anyway
got to level 36, thinking of quitting the game, its not, questing is so tedius, most groups for dungeons are gatekeeping, thought it would be fun to play as i am raid logging in cata
As someone who only played 2019 classic around 2021 I completely understand, and by the way these servers work I can guarantee you will also be fine if you play later! As long as one's having fun that's what matters!

I feel it really has its old appeal back with this new server one that another server that isn’t this populated won’t have. Those servers like turtle wow are welcome to all but mainly for veteran players in a sense now sa better time then ever to jump in if u missed retail
Yes it is. What sucks for me is a full time job, lkng commute times, a woman and her cats demanding my attention all the time making playing close to impossible. When I do get the time I've always like going for completionist. Every class, every proffessions and such. Obviously I don't get anywhere won't reach 60 before tbc but it's quite relaxing just killing npcs even if it would be more fun at 60 doing bgs but don't have that time now 20 years later..
Maybe in a couple months when people are done leveling it might be worth it but right now it sucks fighting for mobs, and there aren't enough people doing dungeons to always get a group.
Are we playing the same game? I never go more than like 5 min trying to find a group…. And the open world has so many layers I am often only with 2-4 people on a any given part of a zone
@ the North American PVP one. And I’ve played at pretty much every time of the day in the past week except maybe 6 AM. The important thing is you need to join all of the chat channels. So we now have a group finder, but you should also join the lookingforgroup channel and the LFG channel. Combine that with the LFG Bolton board add-on and you now have dozens if not, hundreds of people looking to join dungeon groups all the way from deadmibes to Black rock depths. Those channels are obnoxious, though I have them and the services Channell isolated in its own spot in the corner… So if I need to find a summon or something like that, I have access to it but it’s not in my main chat panel lol. There also is a shortage of tanks for some reason… but there’s not a shortage of warriorss… so if you don’t wanna tank yourself and you can’t find one just invite three warrior and don’t tell anybody who’s the tank and one of them will just accidentally be the tank and it doesn’t matter lol (just call it a warrior Cleve group and they’ll feel special)

People leave retail because of the meta issues but are willing to do classic again while it's the most imbalanced thing with min-max end game community & no real challenges since they game is solved and endgame content is pretty much easy to the point of just being a speed run.
You are simplifying the issue. Some are leaving as you say for meta issues. But the reason that's not a problem for classic is they want different things from retail and classic. If you play a game with random greens that aren't focused on hyper balance or things like this but stupid fun things, then you play for a different kind of fun then most people are inclined towards in retail.
I think the fact of it not being a challenge is a double edged sword, the game being much more simple gives people time to focus on other things one can get out of a traditional mmo such as interaction with other players and a less mechanical gameplay

What i see is just people min maxing it like retail. Most play warrior because its the most op and then build some of the most optimal raid comp to clear raid fast & easy. The fact the game is solved make some of the most unfriendly community since they all expect everyone to bring everything, know everything. i'v argued on other comment with guy who even call "griefing" the fact of not being optimal for raid. If the end game was a bit harder and the balance at least somehow more fair, i could understand the hours of buff & comp farming for consumable I love the game but the balance push the community into degenerate behavior imo
@@DF-fv1ld You are absolutely correct. Classic Era was infected with the speed clearing mindset. Every boss at end game has ZERO mechanics and they kill them in 30 seconds. The only one that has mechanics is roughly KT because its a forced Phase boss. Great comment, unfortunately, most Classic Players have never played Top endgame level (mythic raiding) so they fail to see any perspective outside this window. If the server ends up like the 2019/2020 version then the community will be fine but if the speed clearing community infects the Server then it will fall apart.

Thank you! If you want to find a guild there's a couple ways to go about it. The most common one is just looking for advertisments in trade chat of a certain city in the game in which guilds are always recruiting. The other way to go about it which is the one I personally went for is looking up on google my realm name and pair it with whatever type of guild you want, in my case it was "casual guild" and look at forum posts to see if anything shows up. Last but not least you always have reddit in which you can do the same type of search and will get some results!
Why would classic wow not be? The game is 20 years old and half the game is leveling if you are casual so just enjoy it and ignore what the sweaty people online say, hardcore raiding is not necessary in this game
Very curious if you can make a video to explain what to buy as expansions if you will get started in 2024/2025 WoW? Do you need to buy them all or should someone start just the classic? Also, how big is the Role-Playing community?
There's no need to buy any expansion to start playing WoW today. You can play up till level 20 for free on Modern WoW . If you have an active subscription you can play all of WoW classic. If you have an active subscription you can also play modern WoW up until level 70 at which point you will have to buy the latest expansion, The War Within, if you decide to continue leveling. Role-Playing community is very active on some servers but that will require more research than my knowledge.

Dual spec doesn’t belong in TBC or vanilla and if THEY MUST have it in vanilla you need to have to go to your inn or trainer in order to activate your other spec. This is game breaking and worth quitting over.
@@TheRetroDenI haven't seen any bots either. I know there certainly have been issues with bots and hackers not being dealt with effectively but some people are just so pessimistic.

As warrior player what I don't like on Classic is the Human/Orc weapon spec.. because i wanna play Troll but the +5 weapon will be missed

Classes are not very balanced though. Prot spec and threat should be altered. Druids are bad too.

Isn't SoD more raid based than classic? Classic is all about a long journey, end game is kind of its own thing. Doesn't SoD rush you to the endgame?
