This is a channel with a lot of trains filmed in the NW GA area. You will see CSX, Norfolk Southern, and the occasional foreign power locomotives in my videos. I hope that you enjoy and remember to subscribe! Thanks For Watching!
CSX 703 Leading a Coal Train Past Dobbins ARB Museum 8/3/2020
This was a quick video that I took during an excursion I made to the museum at Dobbins Air Reserve Base with my dad back during online school due to COVID. The museum is great and I highly recommend it to anyone with even a slight interest in aviation, especially military aviation, as they have quite a nice collection. CSX tracks also run by the museum, which are fairly active meaning you might see some pretty cool trains during your visit. I hope you enjoyed the video! Take care and thanks for watching!

I had just run some errands to take a break from finals preparations when the crossing gates came down. This was a nice break from the usual stress of finals and I was glad to see a train at night for the first time in a while. I plan on tackling the immense backlog of videos that I have soon so stay tuned to the channel! Hope you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching!
CSX 7894 leading a grain train through Cartersville, GA
Переглядів 3673 роки тому
I went up to Cartersville, GA to meet with a friend and spent some time downtown. While I was there, I caught two trains on the CSX line that runs through Cartersville with this being the second of the two. This train was what I presume to be a grain train led by 3 GE locomotives. After being absent from the rail fan scene for a bit due to moving to an area without significant rail traffic, thi...

Atlanta Stockade Gas Powered Mobil Directo
Переглядів 3,4 тис.3 роки тому
Well this has been a pretty long time in the making, I had hoped to get to this last year but between life and the pandemic, things just got too crazy. Today though, I met up with Brendan W and Will (TNT1001) and we are pleased to announce that as of Saturday, April 3rd 2021 the Atlanta Stockade Mobil Directo is confirmed to exist and has been photographed by drone! The entire siren, sans the u...
Oak Ridge, TN T-121 test 8/7/2019

After a successful recording of the Alertronics at the ETTP with Gabriel Fairchild, Michael (Bluegrass Sirens), Hunter (Mr Northwest Ohio Dude), and Gary (LeadCollimator), we went to the city of Oak Ridge and decided to get a recording of one of their T-121s. Even though this siren has been recorded before, we decided to record this siren due to its close proximity to lunch (Chick-Fil-A). Eithe...
Roswell, GA Federal Signal Modulator 6024 1/1/20

On January 1st I made the trip to Roswell, GA with Emma (Peachtree Sirens) to get my first recording of the New Year! Our pick was this Modulator 6024 located at Don White Memorial Park on the river. While you could tell a few of the drivers were either blown or starting to go standing underneath the siren, it was still rather potent and the echoes were insane! Hearing this siren in wail with s...
Federal Signal 2001 and DSA-4 Sandy Springs, GA 7/3/19
Переглядів 8375 років тому
With clouds looming, I wasn't sure if Sandy Springs would test today, but thankfully they did. This is one of the two setups that the city has at their parks, which consist of a 2001-130 and a DSA-4 both on the same pole. Typically, these sirens are tested in 3 minutes of wail/attack on the first Wednesday, but today with the clouds it was a shorter alert test. While the 2001 sounded fine, the ...

After getting a semi-successful test at the ETTP Alertronics, I went with Peachtreesirens, 4j25, and Sirens of Cincinati to record the Oak Ridge, TN system of Tempests. The coverage is great on this system and it makes for a cool sound on test day, especially with the rain. These sirens are sounded every first Wednesday of the month at noon in alert. If you are in the area, I suggest that you t...
ACA Alertronic 6000R + Ambiance Oak Ridge, TN

I ventured up to Oak Ridge, TN once again with Peachtreesirens, 4j25, and Sirens of Cincinnati to catch a video of the Alertronic system that is used at the East Tennessee Technology Park. This was formerly part of the K-25 gaseous diffusion plant, but is being re mediated now, so sirens are still necessary. Unfortunately, this siren had bad batteries and we were only able to catch a few second...
Whelen Vortex Installation Gainesville, GA
Переглядів 6 тис.5 років тому
Over winter break, I got to visit Gainesville, GA for the replacement of a Federal Signal Modulator 6048 with a Whelen Vortex R4. The install was done by McCranie Warning Systems (Blue10aemia) and Table Rock Alerting Systems (Stormsetter4). Seeing the whole process really puts into perspective how much effort goes into installing one of these, it took pretty much from morning to evening to inst...

Last year I used this same siren to ring in the new year, however this year I got to use the siren at our new house! Hopefully the Thunderbolt will be up and running for next New Years, however this is better than nothing. New Years was pretty odd this go around, it was warm and raining outside however that didn't stop me from blasting the siren! Sorry for the editing delays, things have been c...

Over winter break, I got to see the replacement of a Federal Signal Modulator 6048 in Gainesville, GA with this brand new Whelen Vortex R4. The install was done by McCranie Warning Systems (Blue10aemia) and Table Rock Alerting Systems (Stormsetter4). A few weeks ago, I went to Road Atlanta for the 2018 Motul Petit Le Mans. This was my first Motorsports event and it does not disappoint! The whole atmosphere of the event was great and it was awesome to see these cars up close. I only got to stay for the first few hours but I ended up seeing most of the track which was rather neat! I am looking forwards to returning for future events such as D...

These sirens are part of the East Tennessee Technology Park siren system and serve the area surrounding the former K-25 gaseous diffusion plant in case of nuclear emergencies. The sirens...

Where did you buy its and PLEASE TELL ME NOW
How long has this siren been there
Almost sounds like the train crossing alarm sound from the Indonesia, whenever the lights blink at the same time as the alarm goes off. Awesome sound
approved.
Nice! What tone did this siren play? When's the testing? Why did it play the wail tone?
What happened to it
is there still a active allertronic in the oak ridge area?
High pitched
The Engine Looks pretty Beat Up at 3:03. It might need to get Replaced if this does get Saved. I’m not sure about the Condition of the Rotor and Stator since it is Metal and Metal does Rust.
the strange part of this, the PJ arm shoots the sidesplash at an angle, When usually sprinklers with the PJ tube keep it in line with the stream, It's interesting because Rainbird pioneered the design of the PJ arm. so this sprinkler would get things wet it's not supposed to.
Why is the ASC Hi-Lo
So i think how it got torn apart is when a severe weather hit the place it torn the mobil directo into peices destroyed
Does the voice come from the siren?
Yes.

@@V.G.F. Ohhh I thought @Dogappel meant the AL-6000Rs. I didn’t know he meant the AL-7200.
RIP 🪦 Modulator
No The Modulator was still alive trainsandsirens1 took it
Hope this gas powered mobil directo get fixed.
Wait where was this at??
What a nice beat also I hear other siren in the ambience and in the water and the ocean in the core and the homes and everything and the space raft which this is MORE LIKE MORE "This is a lot of siren in the fire truck police car attack 9 and worl war 2" with our security qna please I have a car 🚙 that ran into this thingy idk what it is but it got speakers and what
This look like a finland siren
The Whelen air horn sound is pretty creepy, ngl. And I've never heard the hi-lo sound from Whelen, nobody uses it.
I always assumed they reused the same pole. Guess it makes way more sense to install a new one already fitted with the siren. The whole process looks terrifying.
I will miss the modulator, but the Whelen echoes like crazy. Very good coverage down in that area.
Didn't this one get taken down at some point?
Seriously this is the size of the blowers of a Thunderbolt? I thought they would be bigger
bro jan mark hear that siren
That thing deserves to be saved and restored. I hope that Wisconsin engine is savable and can be rebuilt. Once this is restored, it’ll make 2 fully functioning gas powered mobil directos
BRUH why is it taken apart?
Who knows lol
Seriously 😳 American Signal Alertronic AL-7200 Failure What Happened Awesome American Signal Alertronic AL-6000R
I've watched this clip a few times now. What a great drone shot. Not much left of it to be frank. Wonder what led it to be torn apart in situ. The key components that make it a MD are there. Rotator base, and the chopper/stator, and stator plate/clutch/clutch bellhousing. A new VF4 with power unit doghouse can be found with relative ease. Couple it with a alertor shroud and a rebuild would be possible
Well that’s a sad sight, I was hoping it would be functional 😢
It's destroyed
Awesome
Oh no are Mobil directo BN-52 is broken
I also live there
i wanna see that blower
Nice!
Oh my god. That thing's a corpse.
Yup, that’s what over half a century on an Atlanta rooftop will do. Hoping it can be saved!
8964 was already scrapped actually
Oh dang, when did that happen?
I can't tell which road in a city
It is Mobil Directo apparently it is unarmed
You got to put in the work
Sorry to be the bringer o’ bad news, but unfortunately the Model 2 and SD-10 have been disconnected from service. I ventured out in to Newton to record them but the never went off. I talked to the folks in the mailing office and they said it had been disconnected.
Interesting, that’s really unfortunate to hear. Did you hear any of the other sirens in Newton go off? I’d heard from some fellow enthusiasts that their testing had been inconsistent at some point fairly recently.
@@flyingtrainproductions4304 I heard NOTHING. I was there until around 12:30 and i heard nothing aside from church bells. No ambience or anything. Maybe the nearby Whelen 1000 up on the water tower in Oxford was too quiet? I honestly doubt that too since it was pretty close to the SD-10 and Model 2.
Also, how "inconsistent" has their testing been? By that I mean how long have tests been late?
Dang that sucks, I’d heard more so that they hadn’t been testing quite as much back during covid times, not that they’d really been early or late. If you didn’t hear anything at all then I’m wondering if it’s just the system not going but if they told you in the post office that it was disconnected, that’s unfortunate to hear.
Very nice catch and video! I've caught many trains from this old depot. Back in the 70s (when I was a teenage railfan) I used to visit the depot quote often. Back then it was the railroad office for the yards. The men working inside were always kind and helpful to me, and taught me lots about the railroad. I'm sorry for babbling, just reminiscing lol 😆
That’s awesome, thanks for the info! I used to live up in NW GA so I saw a decent number of trains there in the past but I didn’t know it used to be a railroad office, that’s really cool. I’ve met a lot of nice railroad workers, that’s neat they taught you about the railroad. Thanks for watching!
well i wish i had seen this sooner
Thanks for watching! It was really cool to discover this
This siren has been taken down
It looks pretty beat up
Why did you concentrate on the backs of buildings?
I was trying to concentrate on the siren itself so it caught the back of some of the other buildings in the process. The other buildings didn’t have any sirens or anything on them though so they weren’t worth looking at, just the Stockade.
the 6048 own by trainsandsiren1
