Beautiful flowers and this year my peony flowers started to bloom in Mother's Day I had 2 beautiful flower looks like your white peony(our peony plant is 20 years old and I have lot of flowers)and I did buy today on May 18 2023 in meijer a new peony light pink plant and I will be ready to plant in my garden. I have several peonies planted in an area. I planted them in 2017 however only one bloomed this year. I think that I planted them to deep should I dig them up this fall and replant them? I'm going to plant them the way your video guides on transplanting peonies When I purchased them they were three to five eyed plants.One of the plants flowered the following Spring it had a couple of blooms. I noticed that when they break dormancy and leafs out the plant looks as if it's barely above the surface.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful peonies. I live in Georgia in growing zone 8a or 8b depending upon the weather. I took have peonies in my garden. They start to bloom the first week of April they rarely bloom until Mother's Day. If the temperatures are cool during their blooming season they are magnificent. If it's warm their blooms fade& the petals start to fall off of the plants. I've seen them growing about 30 miles further North from my home and they seem to thrive better because of the zone temperatures. I drove around the area this Spring admiring other people gardens whose peonies were on glorious display!!

If I divide my 15-year-old peony now in fall, which I would like to do, will it bloom next spring?

Can they be divided on the ground? I have some clumps that are growing wide onto a pathway and just want to make them narrower by splitting them but leaving half on the ground. Is late September-early October a good time to do this?

What if you just want to get enough out for a friend, and not move the whole plant?

I'm ready to transplant my peony patch this fall. They've declined because a tree was planted next to them, and it has grown enough to shade the patch for a few years. When I dig them up, with I find any white eyes, when they have not bloomed for a few years? Thank you for all your shared information.

It's harder to judge the depth for bare root plants in store packs or to see the eyes, any advise on the planting depth fo them please

Thank you for showing me how to split my peonies. I live in Michigan and I have a very old white peony that was from my mother and also have a large deep pink one . I've been wanting to split them but the weather has been really cold late this year. Now both plants are a good 8-12 in.growth and can see from your video that it is too late to try to split them safely. I will wait and follow your video in September and give my grand daughter some then to plant in her garden.

I was getting anxious when you starting digging it up😬. I’ve done this many times and it’s always anxiety provoking but peonies are pretty tough and resistant. Every one I’ve ever moved have done fine.

Thank you. I have three large peonies that came with the house - at least 15 years old, probably more. I've wanted to divide them for years to get them to grow together as more of a hedge. Would 1.5 foot spacing work if I keep 8+ eyes on each?

I tried winter sowing for the first time in jan and didn't have much success so doubt I'll do it again. Zone 7B North Georgia.

Good advice on the twine run very low to the ground, I don't think last year I had a low enough string and they didn't climb as well as I wanted. Will try it your way now.

Thanks for the video. I'm planting my sweet peas up soon in the UK. You should do videos on your favourite plants e.g. evergreens, drought tolerant, low maintenance, colourful, long flowering, water and shade loving, etc. Also, have you done a tour of your farm shop? To advertise it and show viewers which plants etc you sell.
