Such a cutie hatchling Texas Spiny! Prickly pear tunas “ripe for the picking” indeed! South Texas with its sunsets has its own special beauty. That was a rare treat to see so many wild turkeys at once! Wow JC you had some great luck! I can’t believe you found any snakes in that heat. We went out every night from 29 jun to 7 July when down there and didn’t see any snakes in that same heat. You got the luck! Snakes are slowing down up here in PA but did see a few today!

Next season you need to go herpimg with me. You never seem to find really anything good other then atrox and common herps. I find several indigos, milks, car eyes snakes and speckled racers when I go. And alterna are the most common snake in Val Verde County after atrox. Hit me up.
