"An eastern that got away from someone's collection" 😂 That was a nice-looking snake. Sheesh, that one you tubed was a monster! Night of the atrox, I'd say. Healthy population in that area for sure.
YT is apparently up to their old tricks again or they do like me using another herping channel name, JC. So, you know who Norah from Georgia is and his channel........check out the seven (7!) Texas Indigo snakes he captures in his latest video!! Jim C.
JC I’m new to Texas from northern Minnesota, the reptiles up there have a definite hibernation pattern but here in the Texarkana area it is still in the upper 60s to low 70s during the day and 40s to 50s at night. Have the snakes begun to hibernate with these temps ? I’ve seen several lizards active during the day but virtually no snakes under cover or crossing roads ? Appreciate any tips you can give. I’m not a collector just love seeing them in the wild
Yeah stuff has mostly buckled down for winter. But yeah some warmer days lizards are active foraging. Keep in mind that winters here in my part of Texas (San Antonio) are pretty mild, and it’s not out of the norm to even cruise a snake or 2 on a warmer winter night.
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!! And thanks for watching
That Atrox was INCREDIBLE!!! Always a great time watching these clips ! Thank you for sharing JC

Thanks for the advice!
Great video JC, they all must have been headed to their winter spots!
Thanks Bill! Yeah it’s in the 50s now.
