@@torres870rem not my dealership, just shooting reviews my friend
Hola buenas me gustaría saber qué precio tienen y donde están ubicados y si tienen financiamiento gracias
Really dig the old RalliArt Evolution color scheme. Looks beautiful from what little I've seen so far.
@WhitefolksT sadly don't own it anymore but that vehicle at the cleanest paint work I've ever seen on a kei.
Did changing the Belts work? Or did you have to replace the alternator?
Just belts and proper tension adjustment. I believe www.hiacesoutheast.com/ Has some manuals on voltage checks etc. and other maintenance. I own a different 1997 RWD Hiace now, but still hope to make some more videos in the coming future! Cheers.
Hola donde los puedo localizar
Love the vid, was able to find more info about the car than in other vids. Though I'm curious about how comfortable the car is.
@@Not-Buckie ill be making a new video soon don't ya worry
@@Not-Buckie btw I'm 5 11 and I daily a hiace comfortably. It's nothing like a kei car.
I've driven this kind of car once or twice....on our roads and it's pretty comfortable...way more comfortable than newer versions....imagine a smooth ride on Ugandan roads....
@@DerickBeckhams sounds more my style. Thanks
@@happydaily7324 oh, preem.
Im getting a 1996 honda today within the next few weeks. Worried about the 3 hour drive home with it. How well does yours handle hills?
@@Kagetheservicedog ittl do that no issue at all as long as the timing belt is in good condition
Do you have turbo?
@oneil732012 do not own the car anymore but no it was natural aspiration efi Injection. No turbo models from factory
Great video, I hope to purchase a 2wd model in the coming weeks. You made a side comment on the airbags being for hits from the rear which is not how it functions. Sensors for the airbags are in the front of the vehicle and will not activate if struck from the rear. When you are hit from the rear your entire body actually thrusts backwards away from the dash and of course the opposite happens when hit from the front. Coming from a 45 year retired collision tech. Thanks for the great content!
@my69280sl haha it's all good I was a bit young and misunderstood back when I made this video lol. Also did get rear ended in a different vehicle last year so I understand. I currently own a newer 2wd hiace and love it
this is true ive been in an accident in one of these and if the airbags went off there wouldve been alot more problems
What a strange place for the audio speakers,, what is the sound like, with the doors closed?
@@1blackhippy very good haha
Thanks a lot I just changed out the alternator on my brothers hiace using your video as a guide. Hardest part for me was putting the alternator tensioner bolt back in place. And had to grind down the top bracket part on the alternator where the top bolt goes to get it to fit.
@210dc2mike ya it's too bad toyota didn't just design the alternator on top and ac compressor below it lol.
I believe the middle seats and rear seats come together to form a bed and that’s why you can bring the rear seats up that far
Does your Honda insight tell you when to shift for maximum efficiency?
Nor heard of this one tbh
Super cool video, would u mind sharing some info on the turbo you using , brand , proce , where u got it from, appreciate it
0:57 - It's not a "sedan" it's a 5-door hatchback. The only Micra you could argue is a sedan is the convertable. The Almera/Pulsar had a "sedan" model. 2:54 - That's not ODB, that's Nissan's propriatory "Consult Port". Ordinary ODB scan tools won't touch it, even with an adapter. 3:15 - Yep Primera's had that tray too. Very handy. 3:51 - NO! Do not run this on 87, it needs 89 as that is the minimum spec in Japan and it will be tuned for that fuel. Putting in a lesser octane will result in bottom end issues and pinging! Only way to use lower octanes is to get a re-map (probably will need a custom ECU on a K11).
Ya I figure the scan tool part, it simply has the passenger door arrangement of a sedan, but you are correct with the hatch part. Interesting knowledge. Thank you for sharing good sir
Thanks for this. Just got my 1995 Hiace SC Living Saloon EX today. I have a filter but I had no idea where it goes. Man, this is a huge filter for a little 4 banger.
Hahaha big 4 banger but ya its huge lol. Almost bigger than my granvia V6 filter.
did you ever supercharge it?
No sir but I hear it's possible
What size are your rims?
Just FYI I was looking at your video to determine the connection location of a vacuum line that comes off of the #2 and #3 carbs via a "T" fitting. When you pulled your carbs out I saw that there is a piece of blue tubing connecting the carbs whereas on my original configured bike there is a t fitting connecting the carbs and then the bottom of the now upside down "T" routes between the carbs and then passes through the hose guide on the top of the rail assembly and then back towards the airbox. I initially thought this was a vacuum line but now realize it is a vent tube after watching other videos.
Good to know. Def learning curve for someone my age with my single carb knowledge lol
Please the ac belt it fixed tu turne with power steering or with the fan ?!
how much you pay for it?
I believe somewhere around 4500 at the time.
@@happydaily7324 do you remember how many miles it had
@aerostar9376 hmmmmmm not too sure but it wasn't anything crazy. These cars don't usually go for a whole lot.
@@happydaily7324 i was looking at one for 2950 164k miles fading, scratches straight piped
Has insulating the AC lines helped? Being from Tx (DFW area) I can 100% relate to the unrelenting heat and the difficulty some cars AC systems have. Even when functioning per factory spec.
I don't have a thermometer to stick in the vent to confirm, but ide say it's helping the system be more efficient.
@@happydaily7324 Nice. I moved to the PNW a couple years ago and just picked up an 01 Insight a few weeks back. We don't have summers or humidity like Tx but we'll have some days that are at or over 100. Will be fun to see how mine handles it. If it struggles I may follow your lead.
To make a bed.
I heard you can get them wrong legal in the US different people are saying different things you’re saying they’re not but other people are saying they are so which one is it quit beating around the bush and if you can get a Polaris razor road legal you can get one of these road legal
You can look up the chicken tax in the United States, but essentially, any vehicle imported into the United States newer than 25 years of age is not road legal, period. You can do your research on that, but in reality it's a bunch of federal government bs. Lol
I can’t drive standard never learn how to prefer automatic
He sells some autos also!!
Sucks because if you're in the US you can only drive 25 year or older trucks/vans. The auto trans back then were garbage compared to the manual as you get 2 or 3 more gears. Top speeds are better as well as hauling loads. I'm sure these newer ones are fine though.
Why they call it a Today? Is it cuz I must have one... TODAY?? 🚘👀
For sale now lol
Is JINBEY actuality
Este mini Daihatsu me gusta: lástima que en mi país no lo comercializan
These are just £14K in the UK NEW. I;m thinking of getting one as i have Retired now [Ex Mobile Cranes] So i don;t NEED a Big Truck.
These are so sick. I'm planning to import a kei van but in the US we don't get these so with US regulation can only import one 25 years or older. I wish we could drive newer ones on the road here. You can technically get the newer ones but they can't be registered so you can really only drive them on "trails" and your own property if you have a lot of land.
I have 2 Honda actys. One is a dump truck. Ordered another one. From be forward. Where are you ordering from. ? I’m in Denton. Btw.
Para ser nuevos, ya tienen el escape oxidado =)
Bare steel for ya
the cost?

You may have trouble selling any Daihatsu vehicles since they admitted that they falsified safety data since 1989
Heard that recently, just doing footage for him tbh
Wish you guys had a dealer in AZ, would love to sit in one before deciding on getting one!
26k for a daihatsu???? Holy shit what are these car manufacturers smoking.... Especially with the release of the cheaper Hilux champ?
f**king nuts right?
In New Zealand these trucks start at $10k US. The Toyota Champ won't be available here or Australia as there is no market for them. Why you might ask? Initially Toyota Thailand will not have a 4x4 version and the single cab is a show stopper. Double cab Utes sell like hotcakes .. single cab Utes no one wants them.
@@nzrockdj There is a massive market within the US for small sized pickups. That includes the toyota champ.... It's insane that US law makers don't allow these vehicles in when they would easily sell like candy. Look at the Maverick, and Ranger sales over the past few years to get what I am saying...
@@Q0RRUPTM3D1A I bought the van version in Japan for 7000 USD with 5 year warranty. 3 year warranty package is 6800. Truck version will be even cheaper.
I want to get a new one within the US and the van version.... Issue is they are not road legal because the chicken tax....@@largelampard3721
What state you in?
Texas!
These are allowed in Texas not being 15 years old ? I’m in Canada they have to be 15 years old I believe.
@@Bertaaaa 25 years here. But csn be legally imported new with a few odd rules and only offroad use.
@@happydaily7324 interesting off road use only. I just looked mine up and it’s 15 years but two provinces are also 25 years. The new one are definitely nice !

For sale ?
Already sold my apologies. I may be making review videos or cars for sale soon though :) stay tuned.
Sir where is the Cabin filter is located?
There is no factory cabin air filter, but if you would like to access the front evaporator and possibly add something like that, you can gain access to it by removing the glove box.
Parts cost and availability?
given that it is a 90's Nissan, not too bad at all. They also sold these vehicles as the Nissan Micra in Europe, so you can also source parts for the Micra to, and many exporters from Europe.
So you can get an OBD1 reader for diagnosing problems, say from the UK for English language interface?
Where did you get it?
JDM Gems, Houston. Friends car, let me do a review ok it
Would love to know how it drives on the hwy, how loud it is at causing speed excedra
Drove it 6 hours once on the freeway, seemed to handle just fine. It was not loud at all.
Food for thought you can put an upgraded battery but it is not cheap. For a little bit less, I bought a donor si and swapped full divetrain and dash. The result is a sporty little sleeper that still manages to pull 45 mpg at 70mph all day as a result of the slippery aero and light weight.
Hi question: what's the mpg average? Thanks Nicky.
hmmmm couple smiles per gallon
20-22 mpg
Thanks for introducing me to the Micra. Good video.
Got a 1997 Cappuccino and after owning a bit over 30 cars, the Cappuccino is most likely my all time favorite.
Agreed.
Micras are great little cars! The idea of one being dailied in Texas is mildly amusing to me haha, although I've never been there so I suppose I don't entirely know how the actual driving situation is there. May I ask what inspired the import?
Not mind but a friend's car. Mostly due to affordability and reliability
@@happydaily7324 Right!
