Drum damping, internal rings...
We had an idea that we tested in practice and it worked. And we want to share it, so we made a short video. We think it's the easiest solution to muting a drum when needed. So don't throw away your old drumhead and give it a try. But you can also use our trigger for snare and toms, which has integrated, adjustable and removable damping. Ondřej On-Trigger Team

Can't imagine that light bend trigger part being a solid setting.. Under a hammering kick plate. The forces on drums are great, especially on stage. Can't even compare it with a rehearsal. Live, everything that is prone to move, shift or break will do so eventually. And I'm far from a hard hitter. These triggers being bend so easily will not hold their position permanently, you'll have to bend it again sooner than expected or I missed that endurance test proving otherwise.
I'd love if you guys made something like the roland tm 2 but more modern. I also always wanted a bass trigger that also gives out the sample. Configured by USB or BT. Or just have a pass through mode.
The only turn off I'd see is powering it since it would need usb power or a battery that hopefully lasts a while. Id love it.
FINALLY! A decent video showing wtf is going on. Kudos.
thanks for the video, it seems to be very interesting, I've been looking for a Sanre trigger that satisfies me for a long time. I have some questions: is it a dual zone? meaning, can I also have the sound on the rim to have the RIM SHOT and CROSS STICK effect? can it be installed on a 14" snare? or do you think it would be better to reduce the size for better performance? thanks for your help
Yes, it is a trigger with two sensors, a drumhead and a rim. Yes, there is a 14 inch snare in the video. The trigger has built-in damping, so it eliminates excessive diaphragm pulls and multiple triggers. It simply helps the drum module a bit. The mesh in the video is multi-layered. Also look at the: ua-cam.com/video/ftd2d_13Lkc/v-deo.html
thanks for your reply, you are very kind, but by dual zone I mean a skin sensor and a rim sensor, in your video I see skin sensors only, but I don't see the rim sensor. I asked you this question because I've been looking for a good snare with sensor, that allows me to play on the skin but also with the cross stick and rimshot@@OnTrigger
@@user-uf1oz9bu4d sorry, I had a mistake there, yes drumhead and rim.
sorry, I don't want to be boring, I would like you to explain to me where the sensors are placed, I can't see it from the video. Thanks in advance for your patience and response @@OnTrigger
Ciao guys. Where do I get the metal plate that is attached to the pedal board from above? I didn’t get this with my Gen3 triggers and I use the same speed cobra.
Put the play speed to "0.25"(*)- sounds bad - but you can actually see the double hits. (*) using the menu, that opens by klicking on the "gear symbol" on the right part of the bottom from the youtube screen.
Can you use it to record midi notes and replace the snare later in the daw?
What module is that it sounds great.

God those alesis pads are such fucking junk
The metal part to adjust them does not break after a while? after many adjustements..?
I wish I had seen this video before I bought a Y-cable. If anyone plays a Roland TD-17 be aware of the jack for the kick drum is MONO. A split cable with a stereo jack does only work with one of the triggers... since the other one is disconnected so to speak. Hopefully the MONO-SPLITTER like in this video will work :D
The sensors can be connected to one input in the module by Y stereo cable if the input in the module supports a dual trigger, for example by: (KLOTZ AYS-1) or Y mono cable, for example: (KLOTZ AYU-2).
@@OnTrigger Well... gotta order a Y-mono cable😆can't wait to use these triggers🤘Thanks for your reply.
I was looking for this comment…I have a td 17 module and bought this trigger, got a y cable and was disappointed to find out only one pedal trigger was working. Did you find a solution? I have bought 2 different y cables now and neither have worked
Will they work with the DM5?
Hello, yes...
What module do you use
Personally, I use 2box, but the triggers work with all modules that support acoustic triggers just as well.
@@OnTrigger thanks
Just try it now on mesh heads with 2box module. Work great and so easy to set up. Great response and feeling. I tried jobeky, ddrum, triggera and this on trigger is by far, to best ratio easy/response/price.

Nice. We all need to see some demos on some mesh heads too please.
We'll definitely shoot it in time, it works even better...
Interesting design
I'm very glad you like it. Thank you...
Hopefully you can get a few to test Justin for your snare, toms and bass drum pedals.
You"re a genius brother!!
Thank you :-)
What kind of splitter cable do I need for these? The one I ordered only works with on of the two triggers while the other is not sending any signal to the drum module. Thx for the help!
Nechtan on drum? 🤫😉
Hello. May I ask what kind of jack is needed to connect the triggers to the module? TS or TRS 6,3mm? TS or TRS 3,5mm? Thank you in advance.
Hello, 6.3mm 1/4 Jack TS. TRS will work as well...
Hi Ontrigger, where can I get the piece in the video at 0:14 that screws onto the pedal board? I have this pedal and Ontriggers and can’t get them working yet, but I realise I just have the pedal board going directly onto the trigger, I don’t have that bit. Is that part essential to make them work? Thanks - Rowan.
I’m interested for the answer to this. I also have the triggers without the little plate that they are attaching to the pedal board above the trigger.
But what happens when you get on a different bassdrum? won't the settings mess up?
no because the sound is triggered from a module you could trigger a plastic bucket if you wanted to
@@grxygxds yes the the bucket would have different module settings than a bassdrum, same as how a tom trigger will have different settings than a snare or cymbal trigger
And How can I do If I haven only one input in my module
A cable "Y". Then it depend of our module, 1 female to 2 males, or 1 male to 2 males. The type of the jack, I don't know yet, I just asked the question a minute ago.
Do they help spring the pedals back up?
This is very individual. Theoretically, you could say yes. But Tama's cobra coil works differently. We generally recommend attaching the trigger next to the cobra coil.
Brilliant product..... This will completely solve the problems im having, available on thomann also!
I gotta get some for my edrums fuck footblaster, they just copied you guys!
Hi, can i use on trigger with spd sx as a module?
I know this is old but two things I would have changed, place the piezo under the foam and not on top, and 2 make the connection TS instead of XLR, no module on the market today uses XLR as inputs...
www.on-trigger.com
dont really like the sticky surface. when they get dirty it doesn't stick anymore :/ and I have DW9000 so can't use the screw either
The package includes a spare sensor. There is a spare double-sided tape with the sensor. The tape is included in each package with the sensor.
@@OnTrigger hey thx for the answer ! Will probably pull on trigger (ha...) and buy them soon !
@@ImDatOoz you don't even have them... How would you know?, jackass
If the in bass drum input jack in my mono is mono (ts) how can I connect both on triggers ?? Is this a cable with 2 ts tips thats go to 1 ts tip ??
Hello, what module do you have? There are three options. Mono splitter for mono trigger input, stereo splitter for dual trigger input. Or connect separately. Into two trigger input in the module.
On Trigger I have a 2box drumit five mark1, ohhhh I see, I think mono splitter for mono trigger input would work with my, what do you think guys ??
@@ZideEfekt Yes it will work or better still two separate inputs.
@@OnTrigger will it also be a mono one for the Millennium mps 850 Module?

Thank you. Shop is here: www.on-trigger.com/en/shop/
Best money I have spent in my kit in a long time! Amazing triggering system. Simple installation and even easier to adjust. I should have done this a year ago. So much time would have been spared editing false triggers with the old system (ddrum). On Trigger: do you have any suggestions for module settings? I use the Roland SPD-SX. They work perfectly with a Roland trigger I had been using for the ddrum units, but I'm wondering if there is something that will allow even more dynamic expression.
I can only advise: Set the parameters directly to spd-sx, in program in pc no. Set triggers as instructed on the roland trigger, then adjust the settings.
What’s the purpose of the little spacer/riser that goes under the metal arm?
because of the height.

Yes it is ua-cam.com/video/JIKRT-EsiC4/v-deo.html
Cool ! I have the answer to my previous question about adjustments. Perfect !
Romain! Nous marchons avec les Dieux de Batterie!
Very interesting ! But imagine you play shows, and not on your bass drum, let's say you don't know how the bass drum will be in advance. How can you adjust the position of the sensor ? Since the beater will reach the drum head at a different angle than at home. That is the only thing I still don't understand. Let's say you come on stage, and the beater reaches the drumhead sooner than at home. The board won't touch the sensor. How do you adjust this ? Great thanks for the help !
If you come to a gig where you bring your own pedals only ?, the whole drums set up will be already miked up, and you will not use your triggers.. If not, it is very fast and easy to adjust the beater angle to hit the head on time with the trigger.
ua-cam.com/video/ZeeTruPP73A/v-deo.html
Well you could either adjust the bass drum legs so that the beaters would hit at the same angle as you have it at home, or after a bit research you can discover that the metal part on which the trigger is mounted is really easy to bend with your hand.
Is it possible to attach it where the cobra coil is located instead of using the glue? (with a screw)
