Someone already said it, but thanks a lot for this, I played both Freespace 1 and 2 quite a bit in the latter part of my childhood, and loved both. I started listening to the music from the first game recently and a lot of it is really relaxing, despite the dire situation going on in the game when it plays.

FreeSpace 1 teetered on the edge of survival horror which I don't feel 2 did as well, it's pretty apparent in the soundtrack
