LOTR Audiobook with Howard Shore Music & Ambience | Book 1 Chapter 1
Переглядів 3107 місяців тому
This is the first chapter of the Fellowship of the Ring, made by Phil Dragash. The background video is from Lord of the Rings Online - The Shire. I know there are other videos on youtube with this audiobook, but some of them have pretty bad sound, so I wanted to upload my own version with updated audio. I might do the rest of the book later at some point. #lordoftherings #lotr #lotro #audiobook

Amazon Couldn't Afford Realistic Armour?
"There were no female dwarves" yes there was, during the Smaug scene when he took the lonely mountain there were a few female dwarves (without beards though) running out of the mountain, "the woman won't be saved by the man and swept off her feet" Arwen saved Frodo, and Eyowyn kept Mery safe, and Galadriel saved Gandalf from Do Guldur, I don't remember a single scene where a woman was being a damsal in distress in LOTR or the Hobbit
What they are really saying is "I wasn't represented, I want to see ME in this story." They only care about stroking their egos and can't enjoy anything unless they can shoved themselves specifically into the story. Wanna know who my favorite character from LOTR is, it's Gimli and you know what, I'm not short, don't have a beard, don't drink and know shit about mining. Only thing I have in common with Gimli is I'm pretty good at Axe throwing that's it and I still love rooting for the guy. You don't need to see yourself on screen ,just enjoy the characters that already exist.
Tbh the Rings of Power Celebrim wasn’t that bad
Ridiculous
0:33 This part where the Dwarves are remembering their old home makes me a little emotional 😢 Thorin was just a baby!(Not actually but he and his siblings were pretty young)
The Amazon one has a 80s action movie sounding soundtrack and not in a good way, the Amazon one had very little variety in costumes, and it just didn’t look or feel real.
Peter Jackson was a master of blending practical effects with CG.
3:20 wtf was that?
I gotta tell you, as a white guy, my first reaction when watching the Lord of the Rings was, "Hell yeah, I feel so represented!"
Peter Jackson : "we have 6000 men ready to charge at the orcs ! " Amazon : "500 cigarettes"
ROP character is pathetically embarrassing
Lord of the Rings online > World of Warcraft, anyone agrees?
Theres no need to beat around the bush. They made Celebrimbor a middle aged gay dude. Thats what they meant to do and thats what they did. These shitheads should be ashamed for what they did. Definitely not saying gay is not good, I love the gays, but right time right place and it aint here.
#Celebrimborinsideme #Shadowofmordor
I guess in Amazon RoP there must be a pamper parlour for everyone to get their hair and nails done.. contacts for the eyes- I was expecting skein to flip open a mirror and do a duck pout
In the book we don't know what happens to Celebrimbor! In this series at least I get an idea of what happened to Celebrimbor!
Fighting the dark lord one moment then becomes Joe Biden in the next.
i like to go and watch reaction videos to the jackson trilogy and many of them are from young people whom were born at the same time it came out and it won't be long now before reaction videos will be made by people that weren't born. that's because it's timeless and will continue to be watched by generations of people because people aren't stupid and know when they're seeing honest art and storytelling and that's what they wanna see. hopefully the rings of power crap will be forgotten and i hope a time will come when younger people are watching the jackson films and have never even heard of the rings of power
Diversity ruined it haha
Yes its a fkin joke. The whole show is an insult to Tolkien lore.
They went from long more rounded faces to straight up cubes for heads like they wanted to spit on the original image
I'm an ethnic minority. Rings of power is just a cash grab using minoritazation as a marketing vehicle. The entire show is just poorly written fan fiction and has nothing to do with Tolkien.
Rings of power is a money laundering scheme. Probably only %1 of the budget actually went to the production.
What I love about Shadows series that the made you feel how strong rings of power are.
"no one that looked like me..." The story there Wokecrap, was NOT written for you.
Galadriel isn't bad looking in the series. In fact, technically she's even more beautiful than Blanchett, but she lacks her class, definetely. She'd be good playing some mythological Celtic woman, Galadriel is a bit too alien for her still
Ah, yes, Celebrimbor - the finest craftsman and smith since the times of Feanor - being introduced to the idea of metal alloys by a random guy from the street. Peak of writing.
It's over people. They've gone after LOTR as well now. I hope one day people will stop seeing people or even themselves as just colour and start seeing people as just fucking people
Your representation means a turd to me.
bad ass from game to lame in tv
Why was "That's What Bilbo Baggins Hates" removed? That was in fact in the book...
Honestly they messed it up sooooo bad for his character, completely off script
The films and the series are all great.
Guys, this absolute atrocity of how they treated Celebrimbor as a character is keeping me up at night. 😢
Associating rings of power to Lord of the rings should be illegal.
I am betting only %5-10 of the budget went to the production. They probably used this movie to launder money well in that regard this series actually made the money back even made more money. This is a success basically.
Can people explain Amazon that fantasy do not need visual relatibility? It needs to be fantasy something different mind bogling and not relatable at all when you look at it. Beauty of fantasy being able to make completely unrelatable different world in first glance relatable by actions and events as you gain knowledge about the world. But some characters still can be a mystery that mortals cannot understand. Relatibility is the key in realistic stories or teenage angst or someshit this isnt the place.
Darn these women! Who cares if we see a female dwarf. They have missed the point totally. It was about fellowship, good vs evil.
Lite random kommentarer, men du har inte mer drönar klipp från Kålltorp? Behöver det till skolprojekt, jobbar på en närliggande skola…
The difference is that the Ride of the Rohirrim had true meaning behind the charge. The Rings of Power charge felt forced and unnecessary, and didn’t really make sense.
Amazon? Never heard of it.
Poor amazon
Damn, why are the elves in the series not good looking? Or at least with sharp features, as one would imagine how they look like.
These people are shallow and clearly lack the ability to see deeper that skin tones and don't understand "The Legendarium", what makes it great or the ordeal that went into its creation. The show is trash and the ONLY redeeming qualities of the show is being able to see the Two Trees and Khazad dum as an inhabited kingdom. The whole elf human relationship was dumb af too. There have been three and only unions of the Eldar and the Edain. The first two brought about Elrond and Elros, the third was Aragorn and Arwen. Another point is stupid fake love interest that Elrond seemed to have for Galadriel, who, on another note, wasn't some vindictive warrior who was in an endless pursuit for Sauron. Yes, Sauron killed Finrod Felegund, but without that action almost none of the events after the first age would have happened. Whatever. Done explaining myself. Just upset that people like this show and no one reads books anymore so it's going to be assumed this its actually a part of "The Legendarium".
Tolkien was a product of his time. RoP is a product of its time. History will weigh each in terms of human character. Enlightenment will weight each in terms of mindsets.
All hail 🙌🏼 Peter Jackson
Nevermind Celebrimbor, why does Sauron sound like he's from north Manchester?
Hated those games personally. The early 2000s lotr games were awesome though
A different take on a character isn’t inherently bad, I don’t mind either depictions.
