It's always interesting to see various perspectives. I'm a bit older than you and didn't find the prep bad at all. Apparently the fact I don't eat meat will always make it easier but I also don't eat heavy or rich food - a lot of Asian inspired meals involving rice and noodles with veg. I got a full night's sleep the day before and my prep was marked as "excellent". I declined sedation and it was absolutely fine - I have "extensive looping of the sigmoid colon" for which I needed to move around a bit but it wasn't painful. After a 800+ blood count in the FIT test, a significant family history and severe anemia I went in with an 80% change of being told I had cancer (I didn't know this going in, they told me after). However "pristine" was the outcome. Clean as a whistle. I'd recommend anyone to have it done for peace of mind.

You can absolutely do this! And I really like the sound of the rules you've got going and then being able to descale a bit more if you possibly can. And I like the sound of you really thinking about why you're keeping a book when you read it. I also try my best to really think about a book when I finish it and whether or not I truly want to keep it.

I live not far from edinburgh which adds to my reading experience. In return, if youve not already read them i would recommend Shari lapena - unwanted guest thriller in a locked in setting. The girl behind the gates by brenda davies - historical medical - based on a true story of a 17 year old put in a mental institution in 1939 for being pregnant qnd unmarried. Please check trigger warnings tho xx

Want to take my misses and 3 year old daughter there next year in September only issue for me is the price for this package is very steep compared to other ones so want to know if its worth the extra amount

Yes, it's a lot of books, but that just means you have more choices. Just grab one and dig in. Please don't let this cause anxiety, fear, terror, etc. Just know you'll enjoy reading these lovely books for a long time to come. I can relate to chronic illness/pain and using my Kindle when I'm having a flare up. I don't like wrangling a (possibly) heavy and large physical book when my back is killing me. I love that you both have such reasonable plans and goals. I'm in awe of your number crunching, book buying rules, and life balance skills. You are in control, and you've got this! 📖

I am 100% right there with you. My StoryGraph says I’m at 487 unread books. I am a very slow reader because my life is just super busy, so this number is wild for me. I also have one whole shelf devoted to Christmas because I love them SO much 😊
