Thanks for the video. I just figured out I have the same condition😢😢 Could you share how you cut the shoe?
Thank you for watching and sorry to hear that you have Hugland’s 🥲 I was able to make a hole with a regular utility knife!
Love it! Thank you!
This gym looks amazing
I’ve been staying at Toronto since last September and I also went to R.R.G for sports climbing trip in this May with my friends. That was definitely one of most beautiful memories in entire my life. Projecting 5.12d sounds so cool!!! Btw I’d love to hear your background such as how you got to states, what made you start this channel and so on. (If you already uploaded these type shit I’m sorry for not looking for it by myself)
for stretching (on non climbing days), how long do you normally hold each position?
We don’t really time, but would say around 15 seconds! We make sure we breathe to help muscle contraction and relaxation. Thanks for watching :)
Thanks, I live in small town, in country with no mountains, videos like that really helps me exercise with what I have
We are very happy that you found this video helpful. Thank you for watching!😊
this is the most useful video I've ever seen
Thank you for watching. We’re so glad you found this video useful! 😊
Im freaking out, i didn’t even know i had these until one day i was feeling my feet after a climb and realized it wasnt my ankle bone I was feeling 😢 i dont have pain per se but i love climbing and there’s no way ill ever stop. I hope this works
I hope you’ll find a solution that works for you! Thank you for watching 😊
“…which is really cool and nice for taller people.” Ha! Loved the side-by-side section of video on Jesus Wept. Fun video!
Ai Mori beating Janja Garnbret is a MUST see to understand that height don't make it all. I am tall myself, but my wife is quite short, so each one of us has his own strength and weakness. Sometimes we have to climb in a different style to make it work for sure, but the most important is that we top it !
great video, also enlightening insight on the variation of a heelhook instead of toestep!
Thank you! Glad to hear you found it helpful 😊
Great vibes. Good luck next season! Hope to see you guys out there. Awesome attitude and approach to climbing. Keep it up 👍🏼
Thank you for your kind words and watching our video! Please talk to us if you see us at the crag. 😊
The quintessential pump ladder experience of chainsaw massacre is classic
I joined my gym's comp yesterday for beginner category. I had no idea what 'redpoint format' was and I didn't know what to expect. I took a peek at the restricted comp area a day before and every route looked impossible, and I didn't think I could be able to top any of those. I watched this video a day before the comp and it was super helpful. Every tip covered in this video was all applicable. I used the tips like arrive early, warm up well, observe/simulate/flash and etc. At the comp, I did far better than my normal climbing capabilities. Everything went exactly the way you described in the video. Out of 6, I flashed 4 and zoned 2. The two routes that I only zoned required balance and better footwork which are my weaknesses. I didn't win anything (I know I was very close though. The guy who won the 3rd place also topped 4 and zoned 2.), but I had a great time and learned a lot. This video helped me tremendously to be prepared. Thank you!
Thank you for watching and sharing your experience! We are glad to hear the video was helpful and you had a wonderful time competing for the first time 😊
i’m joining my gym’s local comp soon and this video really helped me shake off any anxiety i had about it! i loved your tips too <3
Thank you for the comment and watching our video! Good luck in the comp!😊
Awesome, cool to see that y’all’s cruxes were opposite parts of the boulder, gives you a perspective on how different people interact with the rock
Thank you for your comment and watching our video! 😊
@@sahandakane Thank you for making the video, anything to boost engagement. Wonderful content.
I have this as well! Didn't climb for half a year, I might try to sow in elastic on the back of my shoes. You'd hope someone would design a shoe with an adjustable back
Thank you for watching! Hope we’ll have huglands friendly shoes someday 🤞
How long do you typically rest mid-route? (assuming there’s a nice jug)
Really hard to say! It really depends on the route, climbing style and the overall fitness. Generally, on a short and steep power endurance route, just a very quick shake and on a longer vertical route like Jesus Wept, up to 2 minutes. Thank you for watching!😊
you just saved me! thank you!!
Thank you for watching! Glad to hear it was helpful!
Hey! Nice video! How hard is the boulder problem at the bottom? Top?
Thanks, Scott! Maybe a V3/4? Thank you for watching!
very inspiring! Do you train base endurance and power endurance together? Or do you focus on endurance first and then power endurance on the next cycle?
Six to eight weeks before the sport climbing season starts, we do lots of sub-maximal climbing to build our base endurance. Two to three weeks before the season starts, we do a cycle (usually twice a week) of power endurance. In off-season, we do at least one aerobic endurance session and one power endurance session a week for maintenance. We'd love to hear how your training goes. Good luck! Thank you for watching :)
How did you train base endurance?
You should climb and log many long sub-maximal routes to develop your overall endurance, without getting in the red zone (getting pumped and out of breath)! Thank you for watching 😊
Great video!
Thank you for watching!😊
Great video...very interesting.
Thank you for watching!😊
Congratulations on sending Jesus Wept! Thanks for the videos.
Thank you! We are so happy for the send :)
nice video! i hope you guys can climb 5.13 very soon. keep up to good work!
Thank you! Yes we are looking at 5.13 now!

I'm perhaps a bit late, but for the person who decked, there's no good reason to deck from there except bad belaying.
I met this girl at my local gym who this is her home gym she told me to come up and check it out
Nice one! You two make the best couple bouldering videos on UA-cam! Would love to hear to some commentary for your climbs!
Thank you for the kind words! 😊
Great sends! Love these side by side videos!
Thank you for watching! 😊
Just dyno everything.
That is not the proper start for tabernacle. It starts lower with body on the other side of the crack. Cool video though.
Trying to find beta videos before I head down for my next trip... cool to see people I know posting beta vids!
Good luck Jess! We hope either or both of our beta will work for you! Have fun 👊
As a tall climber, I am here to get overpowered
Haha, thank you for watching! 😊
Well done!
Nicely done. BTW were you there for the “lights out” Halloween special?
Thank you for watching! We were not. 😊
@@sahandakane if you ever get a chance, you should try it it’s pretty cool
Thanks for the shout out of Eye of the Liger! 🙏🏼
I whoud like to note that you don't have to clime 2-3 tims a week to reach v5. I got there in a year, but you really need to max out those session's. I'm only saying this to encourage people how have similarly limited time to climb.
Thank you for watching! Yea we agree that V5 can be reachable even within months, especially for people who already had good fitness!
I’m messaging you to receive compensation for my dog appearing in your video. It’s a pretty high fee.
Sure, maybe next time we see you at the crag! 😃
sick video
Thank you!
Amazing,Really amazing skill..
Thank you so much!
Well produced video!
Thank you for watching :)
This speeded "stop-frame" technique is *the* best ie. inforative and entertaining, I've ever seen!
Thank you!! We’re glad we could show our two different beta effectively!
I wish my weaknesses were as strong as yours haha
Haha thank you for watching! :)
Allways are girls bellow 1'60cm in world cup finals... Never see a 1'80cm girl in the world cup finals.... Still everyday we have to hear people complaining about been short... stop crying please.
Aren't you a fun person... I am 1.89m and I struggle with a lot of climbs for short people (especially sit starts). Accepting that your proportions come with upsides and downsides is a part of climbing. I hear no crying here - just aknowledgement of that simple fact.
because they're barely any girls taller than 180cm who aren't already in another sport?
