Been struggling with this recently, currently 21 and feel like I'm back at square one in life socially. A lot of my friends from high school have parted / went their ways and so have I, feel like thats the norm for high school at least unless you grew up with them as kids. A lot of people I knew online that we did gaming / business together moved on as well. Either through conflict or just letting time pass without contacting each other. I'm at a point in life where I have nobody to talk to on a daily basis or anybody to spend time with. Really sucks cause I feel like when you are not in a social environment, it's hard to make new friends. I constantly work on my business and the only social interaction I get outside of it is going to the gym. Trying to work on myself by getting a better grip at social skills and can only hope things get better from here.

how can i when every time i invest its apparently in the wrong person. you know what i think. i think IM the wrong person. i think im not capable of handling love, or something, because ive never had it for longer than 2 years. why invest in something that i have no place to be part of in the first place? i already have a daughter, so im fine. who cares, ive done my part as a human, at this point its about making sure she doesnt deal with this shit when she gets to my age. and to add, i also refuse to date over an app. thats patronizing and defeats the point, if i cant meet someone when im out living my actual life, id rather not entirely.

27 y/o here. Got on Xbxlive shortly after getting Halo 3 in late 2007 and played on Xbxlive till I graduated High School in 2015 and began a train conductor shortly after. I never went back to playing on Xbxlive and played on PC every now and then when I had some free time. I visited my parents last year (couldnt visit due to travel, C19, and vaxx requirements on flights etc.) and I busted out my 360 and booted it up. It was late at night, everyone was asleep and I raided my dads liquor closet (lol) and I decided maybe Ill play a game of H3, UNO, or COD. I remember clicking on my friends and seeing that, out of my full friends list, no one was online. But I saw all those names, and the memories came back. All the memories I felt that I didnt have reappeared and I nearly broke down crying. I had friends who we used to say to eachother "bros for life man!". I had friends who were MUCH older than me that taught me lessons as a kid that enriched my life as an adult that I could never repay them for. Friends whose sense of humour rubbed off on me, and have a lasting legacy till this day as people often comment on my sense of humour, which I got from those old xbxlive friends. I even had my first interactions with love online through xbxlive. One girl in particular who still had her old profile pic she took with her Xbox Vision Camera haha. Her and I became friends through UNO and we would video call and send pics to each other back in 2008-09. We eventually had a falling out because I wouldnt fly to NY to meet her (dont wanna get into it) but those memories that later in life I forgot about, felt never happened, all came back in an instant. And it hurt. I wish I had kept in touch. As naive as I was as a young boy, I thought they would always be there. But as I grew older and away from xbox live, so did they. And seeing all those "Last online 1x years ago" next to those names made me realise, I should cherish who I have with me here today. Because I dont know if they will be here tomorrow. Life flys by, and the people we encounter on the journey, fly by just as quick if we dont stop and enjoy, cherish, and hold onto those relationships.

I’ve been having pretty good luck on Robinhood using the recurring investments function, I set up a handful of stocks to buy 5 dollars worth every business day and ytd I have an increase of 16%. My most successful investments so far have been into VOO and VTI on the etf side and ORLY has been at a 44% increase for me too so if you’re looking for some decent stocks I’d suggest researching those. My portfolio was only held up by dividends before and the actual stock price either stayed stagnant or decreased, once I got into VOO and VTI however is when I saw some pretty decent increases

Hopefully I don’t get sued because I don’t know the laws on suggesting stocks 😂 but I never see anyone suggesting decent stocks and in my time reading or watching I always hear the same two things, dollar cost averaging and saving. I also see people gambling their portfolios away with margins or whatever it is and they joke about working at Wendy’s when they lose it all

I’ve got my five guys who I’ve known for ~15-20+ years that I can confidently say we’ll be friends until we die. We’ve grown up together, played Modern Warfare 2 back in the day ☢️, went to elementary/middle/high school and college together ✏️, drank beer and partied a bit 🍻, and have been in each other’s weddings 🕺🏼. Some of us stayed in our hometown, and some of us moved away, but we still find time to get together around the holidays and catch up with current things, while still remembering the good old times. It’s cool that our wives have even befriended each other as well. Through thick or thin, we’re there for each other no matter what. It’s just what you do for a real friend. Celebrate success, support through difficult times. I’ve never been a fan of spending too much time with a ton of acquaintances. Quality over quantity all the way!
