@@SmurtzTR Great point, and trust me, I wish it did, but I'm definitely not betting on it performing at 25-40%+ annually like it has been these last few years. What I am betting on though with majority of my net worth is it consistently increasing at a nice, healthy conservative 8-10%. Specifically with the S&P. Time in the market beats timing the market. I think his principle of just getting $ in the market no matter what is the main takeaway that most need to apply. Even at a minimum 8% return, your money after a certain number starts to compound beautifully.

Fidelity and Robinhood both pay roughly short-term treasury rates (currently highest %) on any money held on un-invested money in an IRA. Super easy- just deposit and earn interest. Buy/sell whenever you choose, and earn interest on cash.

Great video, just want to point out that dividends are not just free money. The stock price drops by the amount of the dividend. Other than that this is the best beginner investment advice on UA-cam.
I know a lot about investing in a professor at a big economic university in France and I’d say this is the best video I have watched about money on all UA-cam, thank u
I've never done any type of investing before because mainly I thought it was risky and a waste of time. I used to have a college dormmate that did daily trading just to get groceries. Around the 16 minute mark: Not what a stock option is when we're talking about employers. It's the same words, so I can see why that'd be confusing. If you're working for a publicly traded company, your compensation can include the "option" to purchase company shares at a discounted price straight from your paycheck. It's not an actual option contract in the way we use the term for calls or puts
Just whatever you all do mettle with options invest slowly and learn learn man this is exactly the type of content i wouldve loved to make i mean i still can but i feel like the more i wait my ideas will fall in to others 😅 but still good stuff man good advice and video
I've always liked it when people apply gamer logic and thought processes to IRL things, be it emotions, cooking or in this case investing. This video will be an important find for many! My only critique is that while the it is nice to have something to look at, I did find it distracting to follow along at some points since we only hear your voice - which clashed with the gameplay audio. Perhaps lowering the gameplay audio, or muting it could help in this regard.

Hey, your videos help gamers in Southeast Asia too. And for that, on behalf of the East Asian gamers, Thank you, man, seriously. I know we got meme'd a lot with thoseAsiansn who maxed out their stat before we were even 6 years old, but that is just a meme. I worked as a minimum wage ESL teacher at 25 (I just graduated from B's like 6 months ago), not even a government officialteachers, and the pay is abysmal at best. We are talking about 16,000 THB or 460 USD. I started doing 50-25-25 money spending, Basic Need 50, Wants 25, and Savings 25 after I can at least get my shit together and figure out how to make sure I don't get into any debt. I wasn't born with a silver spoon in hand but at least I can work with it. I started buying the bank's stocks with those savings after I went debt-free and prepared the emergency funds in September. Now I had 200 USD worth of stocks going with the bank I trusted with. It's a practice that I dedicate myself to discipline saving. I like what you said; I'd rather be a 25-year-old who invests 50$ a month than a 30-year-old who just started investing 500$ a month. I plan that after this year I'll expand my portfolio into stocks that give back dividends funds and the tech stocks that I'm interested in.
I just do $20 of VOO every week from each paycheck along with the acorns app. It rounds up each every day purchase I make to invest into ETFs. I also put in $15 a week into my acorns account on top of the round ups. Currently putting 7% of my income into a 401k, along with a really shitty company match. This is all I could afford right now when it comes to investing. I work at a warehouse doing nightshifts 30-40 hrs a week while taking full time credits for a bachelor’s in software engineering. I’ve found programming to be one of the few things that genuinely interests me in life. I’m 24 and have absolutely no idea what I’m doing when it comes to all of this investing stuff. I have literally no idea what I’m doing with my life in general to be brutally honest. I have a lot more direction in my life compared to when I was 19, but I still feel so lost. Love the video, I started investing when I was 17 and pulled out when COVID crash hit, sold at 1k loss on 12k investment, starting last year I put 25k in and am now up 7k (28%) gain
Loved this! Any advice on how a viewer should approach watching this video if they're from a less stable country than US? A country whose financial and even general societal institutions could crumble in the next 10-30 years with a non-zero chance? Another thing: aren't dividends strictly bad? Why would you want a company to give goodies to their investors instead of reinvesting that money to grow as a company? Can't think of any reason except it can help attract more investment because everyone loves goodies.
What's up, I watched one of your videos and have been coming back every upload, I'm 18, I graduated highschool and am currently going to a cc looking to graduate with an associates in music, I have around 10k in my savings and have been bouncing around seasonal jobs just tryna to make money whenever I can. Is it worth it to start investing the little money I have now, and also should I look for a job that is tailored towards my degree or just settle for one at a resteraunt or customer service. Any advice from anyone would be amazing. I think like everyone else my age I am lost in all of it.
My father once told me that he invested all his money into one company and some kid came to his house telling him he basically owned the company and cried for it back, and his mom forced him to give it back hmm. I sort of believe him lol
This was a very good video and I appreciate you being open about growing your wealth! I’m now 24 and recently have been wanting to be serious with investing but I just don’t know how to begin. I made a few very dumb financial decisions the past 3 years, but I bounced back thanks to my consistent career. I have a good chunk of money that I’m saving for a house, but if I understood correctly, I should start investing in concurrency with my normal savings? So maybe start putting 500 a month into safe stock just to start out? Sorry for the long comment, I have been wanting to get into investing I don’t have any peers that could help me haha
Here in Europe (Marbella, Spain) very few people invest in assets though. Real estate and housing are the most used investments (and yeah, crypto as well) I also been told that spanish stock assets have lower value than american assets
QQQ technically isin't a tech fund it just tech is so overweighted rn especially in something tracking the NASDAQ-100. VGT would be a sector specific fund for tech. People get fomo with the AI and tech hype but if you're already investing in the S&P 500 or some growth fund then you already have plenty exposure to the tech sector.
I’ve just turned 24 and have been investing for just under a year now. I definitely am not an expert or deem myself too knowledgeable about investing however the way I view investing and inflation is that as inflation increases, your pay check should also theoretically increase. Granted that’s not always the case, but assuming it is, if you invest a set percentage of your income your amount invested per month will increase as your pay check increases. This should help combat inflation and keep the buying power of your investments over time if I’m not mistaken?
I find myself investing in my HYSA more than I do my dividend stocks/ETFs. I know they have the benefit of the share price growing that the HYSA doesn't offer, but the higher yield just seems like an overall better option since it pays out monthly as well. Can I have your opinion?

2:33 No love for your awesome viewers from Australia? :(
Haha much love to Australia, just named by 3 biggest areas outside of my country who watch my videos
To get rich, you have to choose to invest in real estate or ETFs, mutual funds, stocks, etc!
great vid brotha
Options are great, just do what WSB does
the longer the video the better good looking man peace
love the video. what exchange do you use to actually buy stocks?
Damn this channel is great!
My father once told me that he invested all his money into one company
and some kid came to his house telling him he basically owned the company and cried for it back, and his mom forced him
to give it back hmm. I sort of believe him lol
INVEST SPEED COLA MY GUY
TIP: Any fund ending in an X, and 5 characters like VTTSX, is a mutal fund
Thank you!! 🙏❤️
Time in the market> timing the market
Thanks for the advice❕ What are good apps to buy stocks❔
Bro why am I watching gameplay with you down on the ground
QQQ technically isin't a tech fund it just tech is so overweighted rn especially in something tracking the NASDAQ-100. VGT would be a sector specific fund for tech. People get fomo with the AI and tech hype but if you're already investing in the S&P 500 or some growth fund then you already have plenty exposure to the tech sector.
Thanks I’m about to put my life savings into Ubisoft
I’ve just turned 24 and have been investing for just under a year now. I definitely am not an expert or deem myself too knowledgeable about investing however the way I view investing and inflation is that as inflation increases, your pay check should also theoretically increase. Granted that’s not always the case, but assuming it is, if you invest a set percentage of your income your amount invested per month will increase as your pay check increases. This should help combat inflation and keep the buying power of your investments over time if I’m not mistaken?
In inflation, what inflates is the currency in circulation, the price increase is a (unavoidable) consequence not an inherent characteristic.
I find myself investing in my HYSA more than I do my dividend stocks/ETFs. I know they have the benefit of the share price growing that the HYSA doesn't offer, but the higher yield just seems like an overall better option since it pays out monthly as well. Can I have your opinion?
Great video. For anyone looking for more on this topic I recommend reading books like The Millionaire Mindset, The Simple Path to Wealth, I Will Teach You to be Rich, Set for Life, The Intelligent Investor
