That is your time and you need it to care for your patients better. ♥ Take it from someone who didn't listen to that advice and wound up leaving nursing for 2 years. Can I just say that your videos have given me the most realistic idea of what I’ll walk into as a new grad RN so far? For instance, you not only show how you meal prep using limited space, but you also include the cost of the groceries. You don’t just show yourself getting ready for your shift; you also share what you did during your shift. This helps me understand how to manage working 12-hour shifts, finding time to work out, and still doing things outside of work despite the limited time between shifts. You even showed yourself working back-to-back shifts, which is very realistic. I love that you focus on nursing-related content in your nursing videos and dedicate non-nursing topics to separate videos. It’s great to see that you can still have fun, go on vacation, and maintain a life outside of nursing, which is incredibly important. I’ll be starting as a new grad in the NICU on Monday after working in a completely different industry for the past two decades, and although I’m nervous, I feel more prepared after watching your videos. You may have even inspired me to record myself during this time because you never know how you can positively affect someone else’s life by sharing your journey. Sorry so long!!! Thanks again!
