That’s a ventilation shaft used to live right down the street also a firefighter for Morgan town fire department I know them trails vary well we had a 4 week search and rescue effort blessed the family who lost the love one there’s stories on them shafts the park ranger is vary weird ask him about big foot sightings and black panthers

My great Great great grandpa is in there.. Im not sure if he has a marker or not, gives me the idea of what has transpired and the conditions ill have to walk through and what to expect. so thankyou, very much. this prepares me for the walking aspect of it.

They were probably marking the text with a pencil or a chalk first on the stone, they would correct the mistakes and only after they would carve the letters, once the text was reviewed.

Loved the explanation of mollusk in limestone. I am studying ways to identify different stone types in order to properly clean memorials/gravesites.

My kin were among many in that area that had farns where retail stores like academy sit! I will see about cleanup log this place I have relatives that still live near by. I love cleaving up old Cemetery places . I do voice recording while I'm there in case they have a few choice words about the intrusion. As well and document disrepair and improvements.

They literally are highly active and can be aggressive, as they are confident and well equipped with toxic venom. I have notice that the light bronze markers have held up well over the decades.

One unique place I have seen these comb graves is right in the middle of a large suburb and the graves are at an intersection in that neighborhood. They just built the roads, homes around the graves. This is in North Sparta area heading out towards Cookeville.

My ancestors are buried in Pelham. They worshiped in that meeting hall. Harkness Family, they dispersed after their participation in Shays Rebellion.

I have relatives buried in Roaring River Cemetery in Livingston (Overton County). While none of my kin are buried in tent/comb graves, there are quite a few in the cemetery. There are even some graves topped with coffin-shaped slabs of stone!

I have heard of cemeteries above RR tunnels. One in WVA & another in NJ. Both abandoned tunnels

As a local and just starting watching this episode watching you kayak into that water that and I'm a local..that's pure bravery lol. We are taught from childhood about the dangers of the snakes 100%..and every single one of us have had a danger noodle moments many times growing up
