Hi, I'm Amir, a traveler and hiker, always chasing new adventures and the tales they bring.
I Hiked Alone to Everest Base Camp and the Three Passes | Silent ASMR vlog
In early April 2024, I embarked on a solo journey to Everest Base Camp and tackled the challenging Three Passes Trek. It was just me, the giant mountains, and the vast, breathtaking landscapes.
I started my journey from Kharikhola, acclimatized in Dingbuche with stunning views of Ama Dablam, and crossed the Kongma La pass. Reaching Everest Base Camp was incredible, surrounded by giants like Nuptse, Pumori and many more. Then, I crossed the Chola Pass, passed the beautiful Gokyo Lake, and tackled the final Renjo La Pass before hiking back to Kharikhola.

This adventure may be short, but it’s packed with breathtaking rewards. Imagine some of the best views you could ever hope for, with the majestic Annapurna mountain range and the iconic Machapuchare (Fishtail) peak stealing the show. Our trek began in lush, green forests, gradually leading us to the awe-inspiring snow-capped peaks. The most thrilling part? The final stretch of the trek, which w...

Solo Trekking 70km/43mi Across Georgia's Caucasus Mountains: Mestia to Ushguli Journey
55 km on day 2 with almost 5K elevation gain? Wow!!!
Great editing and production. Beautiful place and peoples!
Amazing video. Congrats! In 2 weeks i'll be doing the same trek What do you recommend? to Nangkartshang than from Dingboche directly to Kongma La Pass? or go to Chukhung, do the Chukhung Ri then the next day tackle the pass?
This is really an amazing experience I really love watching and I pray to whomsoever is listening grant me strength to attempt this trek once in my life
From where did you start your journey exactly
What are the things in bag essential to carry What type of shoes, clothes , googles of any bcoz I have spectacles
Is it possible to trek alone to base camp of Everest
wow, just wow !! so calm and peacefull up there..... a lifetime experience :) how much was the permit and fees ?
One suggestion - next time use gimbal too 😅
Thanks for the suggestion! However, carrying a gimbal at 4-5 thousand meters is tough. I need to keep my pack lightweight.
@@AmirXplores your video is good , but there are many shakes in between which makes video unattractive.
👍👍👍👍👍👍
🙏🙏
Hey Amir, Amazing video, loved every second of it. May I ask how you managed to fly your drone there? Was it very tricky to get all the permits?
Hi, thanks! It's technically prohibited there, but they don’t really check. So, I flew in a less crowded area, away from the helicopter flight zone, I also hiked to Everest Base Camp and the Three Passes, where it was highly restricted.
no cus the quality of this video is INSANE, surprised that its not a million views?!
what an experience!!
Really goes solo ? I read by law you need to be accompanied by one local guide.
Hey, please read the pinned comment
I truly think you'd love "The Power of Now" by Eckhart Tolle - it could completely transform the way you experience your hikes. Imagine walking through nature with a clear mind, fully present, soaking in every detail without the weight of distractions. This book beautifully guides you toward that state of deep presence. As you quiet your thoughts, you'll start to feel an even stronger connection with the natural world around you - the trees, the wind, the earth beneath your feet. It’s an incredible feeling, one that brings peace, clarity, and a sense of oneness with your surroundings. I believe this book could add a whole new depth to your time on the trail. 🌿🌲
Amazing🎉🎉🎉
just wow
Thank you for sharing. Great video
Beautiful 🌴💎💙
Thank you!
Amazing video. Really enjoyed every minute of it! It is such a great experience to be there. Suggestion fur further videos - please keep the scenes and titles longer. Some of the scenes are too short for such a beautiful and ASMR experience! Wish you a lot of great travels such is this one! Warm regards from Serbia!
I m from nepal this is beautiful and touching ❤
At first, watching your cinematic video, I thought you're a million-subscriber UA-camr. Bro not just making a video, he's making a movie
Amazing video and adventure. You are a poet. There's no need to say much, the beautiful images say it all. The important thing is to be connected to the place and the people.
Could you describe about the permits and any rules and share the trekking route?
You surely know that your video will certainly inspired some people of taking the same journey. Perhaps it will be good to have a video to explain this trip by sharing your planning guide. I am sure many people would like to see the planning behind this trip. Come on..do another video on that! Thanks.
Amazing video. Was it hard to navigate through the mountains? What month?
Now I am relaxed ⛰️
I’m glad!
wow this video is amazing... and i LOVE how you put the narration in the cc, so creative
I'm so glad!
Fantastic
Thanks!
Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks Have a happy day!
Thank you! Cheers! 🙏
Oh and i walked in from jiri not lukla
Good for you! I didn’t walk from Lukla either. This trip was all about the 'Three Passes,' which isn’t really comparable to the 'EBC' trek in terms of difficulty
What a hero he made base camp like thousands. Big deal, you just keep going, i did it in 1998. So what??
Did I mention I accomplished something huge? There's no need to explain, but I will. There's a significant difference between just completing 'EBC' and doing 'EBC + Three Passes.' If you've only done the EBC, it's like you've just taken a stroll in the park.
Nice video!! In which month of the year you visited?
Thank you! it is mentioned in the description and the dates are writen (very tiny) in black screens
@@AmirXplores I still couldn’t find it in the description.
It is under “my videography gear list”
Awesome!! Nice story telling. I am also going solo for the same trek next week. I just have 1 question, did you get a permit from Nepal Tourism Board in Kathmandu as well or that is not required?
It’s not required, you can get the permits at the national park entrance.
Thanks! glad you liked it!
What music did you use?
I don't remember the name of each track, but I licenced using Artlist
This video made me relive the tremendous emotion I felt a few years ago in the Khumbu Himalayas.
Thank you! I'm glad the video brought back those powerful memories. Places like that stay with us forever!
Thank you! I'm glad the video brought back those powerful memories. Places like that stay with us forever!
Which app did you use to record steps, distance, elevation gained and lost, highest altitude as shown in the video ?
I used FatMap which is a retiring app, and it is going to be a part of Strava
@@AmirXplores are you from India ?
No, from Iran
@@AmirXplores that's nice 1. Can you let me know which camera gear you carry and which drones you use ? 2. Are there any sort of restrictions on drone flying in Nepal while your trekking ? 3. What kind of mental and physical fitness activites your follow and would like to share if I want to trek for long hours in single day and I'm planning for a long trek like you do. Your inputs will be useful.
I mentioned the gear in the description, but please disregard the tripod, as I've changed it. Drones are not permitted in the Khumbu National Park; I was fortunate they didn't find mine, or I would have had to say goodbye to it. So, I recommend NOT bringing a drone, as they may check your backpack at the entrance - I've heard they may confiscate it even if you have permits. Regarding physical fitness, if you’re planning to do the EBC trek, being moderately fit is sufficient. Regular workouts will be fine, and you can definitely manage it. However, if you aim to tackle the 'Three Passes,' it can be more challenging. I suggest doing hikes with a backpack in your city or country first, along with cardio, running, and weight training-especially for your legs. During the hike, you may experience altitude sickness. If this happens, it's advisable to descend to a lower altitude and then gradually ascend again over the following days.
Incredible ...
Thanks 🙏
thank you 🙏
Welcome! 👊
This is one of the best videos I’ve seen on youtube
I’m glad you enjoyed this video, thanks
Bro you content🔥
Thanks! 👊
Ok Amir, I'm putting this down from my phone and onto the computer..Intro drew me in
Hey Algerson, hope you enjoyed the rest!
What music? 22:00?
To be honest I don't remember, but I licenced using Artlist
Take me too i want to trek too👋🏻
😃
How you know about the itinerary and the way to it?! Can we get lost or not
I use GPS app called Gaia, there is a possibility of getting lost even using GPS so if I feel I'm going off the trek I stop to find the path and I don't go too far
Excuse sir what was your total budget for this trek
I'm a budget traveler, and for this trek, I spent $700. This EXCLUDES the cost of staying in Kathmandu and the expenses for travel to the national park, whether by flight or road
Thanks to share your journey ❤
My pleasure 😊
Awesome
Thanks!
This video is healing. I would never be able to travel to these places but seeing this video makes me feel happy and serene. In my next life, I would love to do those things. Hopefully, I'm not as poor in my next life and chicken lol.
Glad you enjoyed it! why do you think you will not be able to do it? I belive everyone can do :)
amazing brother. true hardwork for the shots captured.
