Having played a ton of coiffeur jass as a kid, I applaud the changes loudly. In my experience, 2 teams of two or 2 teams of three were the best variants, I'd like to try 3 teams of two. The variant for counting points up to 100 also makes me curious, I like that it's cleaner than the original 157 pts. And of course, the barrel bet is the biggest improvement! I'll definitely email you to see if there's any possibility of sending it to Switzerland, it would be nice for it to come and visit its grandfather's country 😂.

My understanding is that for 2 players, the 'standard' preparation phase is replaced by the rules on page 10 of the rule book, meaning that players do not discard 1 card each.

Another cryptocurrency game that you might want to try is "Cryptrick". The only similarity is the theme pretty much, there are two twists to the game for scoring you pretty much want to hit a sweet spot when wining tricks. Only 3s, 4s and 5s matter for scoring (those cards have cubes that represent the cryptocurrency itself maybe) and you ideally want to have 3 scoring cards of all different suits because scoring goes if you manage to score none of the cards you get 5 points and if you have over 4 scoring cards you get one per card, otherwise from one to three cards you multiple the amount of cards with cubes(3,4,5) with the amount of different suits on those cards to get your score. The twist I found more interesting was in how the flow of the trick goes. The first player offers a card for leading, going clock wise the first player to "accept" the offered card leads with it (and gives a card back to the first player) and the the trick plays out. Whoever wins offers a card for the next trick. If no player accepts the offer then the first player become the lead player with the offered card. We weren't quite able to pick at that dynamic enough but I do feel there might be something to it. Offering a card you know you can beat if anyone takes it. Or taking an offering to make sure another player will have a particular suit when you pass them a card. Seems interesting but we couldn't get it to click at 3 players, might be more interesting with more players. (In set up there are as many suits as there are players)

Masterful tribute. Part honorific and part finishing move at the same time. DiLisio had you on his podcast so I guess no permanent harm was done with that costume. And if you have to have tattoos this is as good as it gets.

Hmm... that Man Eating House is a bit to convoluted (there's a word I don't think I've ever typed before!!) for a simple "Paddy" like me. It reminds me of "Fizzbin" and anyone who doesn't know that game gets ten demerit points, except on a Thursday after 6.23pm when ythey get a cup of tea and another go. No, this one is the first game by New Mill Industries I definitely won't be buying, I know for a fact not one of my games playing mates would be interested in such a complicated rigmarole every time a trick is played. I hope whatever the guy who came up with this one was smoking, is never made legal in the US or Western Europe. This is the first game you've ever reviewed that I can't find one positive thing to talk about, but I think its just a terrible. Maybe a nice game of Fizzbin isn't such a bad idea after all..?

MEH (yep official abbreviation) seems some how less crazy? Then I was hearing about. The setting up your teammate to play certain weapons or girls to maxize points I could see working out. But the cancelations that can happen allowing the other team to get points in the same trick seems an awkward point. I usually don't gravitate towards these complex ones (due to game group) but like you said the theme may sell me on it.

I really wanted to check out Man Eating House based on title alone... But the only other review of it I've seen was also pretty "idunno about this one". Oh well.

Zoo and More? Zut alors! Can't wait!

Super news about those three releases from New Mill Industries, those guys really do have some superb games in their catalogue. I've been after Reapers for ages, I missed a copy once buy a few minutes(!) but now I'll finally be able to get a copy. That first game you mentioned, the one that's going to be on KS, what's its name... Snort, Soot... Something (I can't even remember the name!!), I don't know anybody who would want to buy that one. Whoever designed it obviously knows nothing about trick taking games, probably hasn't any in his collection, indeed I'd say he's never even played a trick taker if he thinks anyone would ever buy that! 🤭 Actually you had me worried there for a minute, when you said the artwork had been changed slightly I was thinking why would you change what was absolutley perfect. But it's all good and I can't wait to get backing it, I've wanted that game from Day 1. I do hope you consider doing a KS for OWL in the near future too, that's another one I want to get into my little collection. That new game - and I really can't remember its name - looks like great too, I hope I can get a copy over here in the UK. I've just signed up to be notified when the KS goes live, roll on the end of the month! Great video, thanks for posting.
