If you watch the game against Indiana, Indiana lived in ND backfield they just didn’t have the speed to run down Leonard. UGA doesn’t have that problem, they are fast, really fast and very disciplined on the edges, unlike Indiana. Texas looks like a pretty good comparison to ND just more talented and a better O-line. Texas rushed for 64 yards over 2 games against UGA Defense and allowed 15 sacks…..

O I can’t wait for you guys to revisit this also, because I can’t see Oregon losing this game…after watching Dan Lanning building towards this for 3yrs, and learning from the roster issues the last 2yrs against Washington…and being one game from a conference championship in 22, losing the conference championship in 23 and winning the Big Ten conference championship in 24. Losing Riley Mills isn’t your biggest concern. It’s the disrepect that Irish fans and the media have shown to Georgia leading into this game. The worst thing a team can do is disrespect Kirby Smart’s bulldogs on game week.

Georgia has questions that need answering and ND has questions that need answering. This will be the game that will provide those answers. Georgia Fans will argue that they have been in these situations before which garners them a better chance at winning. They want to talk about how an injured defensive lineman impacts the ND chances in a big way which is fair. Now lets talk about Georgia, you guys just lost your the starter for the most important position on the field. We have no idea if he is going to perform, we have no idea if he will keep the ball safe against an Elite ND secondary. Both Injuries is 1 player lost, but both positions are not equal in the terms of the potential impact on a game, they just aren't. Even if the replacement for Riley doesn't put much pressure on the pass but performs the basic function of a DL on the run, that's enough to shut down the run for Georgia and force the ball into the air. But if the QB has a mediocre game and throws a pick, or maybe misses a man for a critical 1st down, or takes a sack from sitting in the pocket for too long, it becomes clear that the loss of your starting quarterback holds more weight. This Matchup will be the proving grounds and i cant wait.

Yes this is a huge loss. It will hurt ND. Having said this, I’ve noticed that no one is talking about the fact that Notre Dame might be able to run the ball themselves on Georgia. A lot of folks are assuming that Georgia’s defence will totally stop the Irish from running the ball. They might but I’m thinking this game is going to go into the fourth quarter and one of these teams will take control and pull out a close one. It might very well be the Bulldogs that do it but I’m not discounting the Irish.
