Its sad that we r this bad ,i picked a bad year to buy season tickets, but I'm still a mountaineer & we had 3 offensive players go with head injury & we lost 3 on defense before the 2nd half.

Intent of his comments aside, people no longer have grace for Neal Brown, and why should they? Do you know how many times at the game I heard people around me say "Are you having fun though? The tailgate was good, the beer was cold!" Neal is a complete liability to the program at this point. Buyout aside, the fans have completely turned on Neal. The relationship between the fanbase and the coach has utterly soured and become toxic. I'm a season ticket holder, so I'll be at the Baylor/UCF games next month, but I'll put it this way, I don't anticipate having trouble finding parking for those games. I look at the remainder of our schedule and I wonder, would you favor the Mountaineers in any of those games? They go on the road at Arizona, who isn't a great team, so you could say they are favored to win that game. Cincinnati has been playing their opponents close this year, I don't think they win that game. If you're the WVU admins, I don't see how you see the fanbase turning and think keeping Neal is the right move for your pocketbook. I wouldn't even care if Neal wins out this year. I've seen enough over the last 6 years to know what Neal Brown football is. Mediocrity.

Brown is getting out-coached. I like him but he’s got to go. There is quality talent on the field and we see flashes of potential but it seems HCNB can’t get it out consistently.

You should go back and listen to the episodes you did leading up to penn state. Embarrassing: you listen to coach speak and act like it’s gospel. WVU’s roster IS NOT GOOD. Accept it

I said it weeks ago. We could win this week, and lose the next, until the last game and end up 5-7 or 6-6 it doesn't matter, whatever we have just isnt' working, but even if we are tired of it, financially, the amount necessary to let Brown go, Makes me believe they won't let it go until sometime after the season. I love our team, we have some good players, but we have bad coaching and it shows.

That's exactly what he did, blamed it on injuries, barely said anything about Greene's 2 interceptions, defensive backs were lacking a lot, and made KS QB like he was a Heisman winner.They ran Greene so much that he got hurt. the score would of been KS -52, and WVU -18, the only reason it wasn't, the KS coach had pity on us! Think we can win 3 more?

I think Barry Odom might be the favorite, he is an Oklahoma guy,likeWren, plus Wren and Odom i believe overlapped at their time at Mizzu, Odom Is a defense guy. I think he can retain player. HE could show Gallagher film on how tgey De Jesus

The sadest part of this whole thing is in the postgame when asked why KSU didn't run Avery at all coach said "We didn't have to this game". Klieman knew they were gonna steamroll um

Neal Brown is failing W Virginia football. The team was not mentally or physically prepared for four quarters of BIG12 football. The reputation of W Virginia as a tough, physical team who can’t be beat in Morgantown has been tarnished by poor performance due to lack of preparation…this falls squarely on the coaching staff…we want the W Virginia of old, maybe it’s time for a change.

East Carolina just fired their coach for having a 3-4 record. Apparently ECU has higher standards than the WVU administration.

I truly think the problem with the WVU brand starts with Gee, he is one of those old heads stuck in his ways and refuses to change anything that he doesn't consider a problem! He needs to be the first change imo

Interesting how there are so many teams in the Big 12 that were supposed to be really good are having so so seasons. Utah, Kansas, UCF, Oklahoma State, and of course WVU.

It’s all coaching…or lack there of. It is that simple. Players are continually in the wrong place, playing way off the receivers, Greene cannot see the field and his short to intermediate throws have not improved. I know everyone says he throws a nice deep ball but where has it been? He’s overthrowing everyone or throwing behind them as well. Every time he runs he tends to get hurt so that has suffered as well. No fault of his but he has suffered from mediocre coaching.

I love this team, I work every Saturday the rest of the yr just so I have no problems getting them off during football season, and im right there with ya Couz, it hurts to watch the thing I love the most! I NEVER want them to lose, I'll never root against them... But something has to change!! Nobody improves week to week, id argue most if not all qbs under Brown have gotten worse! No wr can get open, they all drop the 50/50 balls that seem to always get caught against us, nobody on defense can cover, NOBODY!! I have never seen a team just stand flat footed and just watch the wr run right by them and then just turn around and chase them, never turning to look for the ball at any time, ever.. idk what to think anymore! Ill watch every game, up until I can't anymore, i get tired of my only days off being ruined by my mood because of the games. It just hurts to be a WVU fan atm, but I guess Basketball is right around the corner, and i have high hopes that they will be a fun and competitive team to watch! All these other schools get rid of their terrible coaches, but WVU acts like it would destroy or hurt their program if they would do the same thing. Do any of those so called " academic egg heads" really have any common sense? Do they need to read a book on " How to fire a head coach for DUMMIES" book in order to know how to fire a football coach? This is insane!!!!

These numbers tell the story of a coach who has failed to elevate the program and restore the pride that once defined West Virginia football. On the field, it’s clear that Neal Brown has lost control of the team. The players' body language and lack of effort are glaring. Take, for instance, Preston Fox in the second half of the Kansas State game-he failed to give the extra effort on an incomplete pass, a telling sign of a team that's checked out. Before halftime on a crucial 4th-and-1, CJ Donaldson was visibly frustrated, shaking his head in disgust. Even though the Mountaineers were only down by a touchdown at halftime, the team looked deflated, uninterested, and done. This is not the attitude of a team fighting for its season; it's the demeanor of a team that’s given up. Looking ahead, the path forward seems bleak. This team is on track for a 3-9 season, with the best-case scenario being 4-8 or 5-7. That kind of finish would mark yet another disappointing chapter in a tenure full of underachievement. From the beginning, I’ve said I wasn’t buying into the hype that Neal Brown was selling, and those doubts have been confirmed. Couz can back me up on this-this team doesn’t have the talent everyone thinks they do. A quick glance at the past season stats of the players Brown brought in through the transfer portal shows a harsh reality: these are players that no one else wanted. When the transfer portal opens this year, don't be surprised to see a mass exodus of WVU players racing to leave. And why? Because of Neal Brown-his poor play calling, lack of game awareness, and his constant blame-shifting for why the team is underachieving. He’s lost the locker room, and once that happens, it’s nearly impossible to turn things around. Brown is not cut out for Power 5 football-he needs to go back to the Group of 5 level, where he might find some success, but it’s clear that WVU is too big a stage for him. But perhaps the most painful reality of Neal Brown’s tenure is the cultural shift that’s taken place under his leadership. Mountaineer Nation, once a proud and fierce football community, has been reduced to something unrecognizable. Opposing teams used to dread coming to Morgantown, where the fans were as tough as the team on the field. Now, we have a coach whose focus seems to be on whether the fans had a good time tailgating, getting drunk, eating food, and enjoying the autumn weather. Winning football games has become secondary. As long as the fans are enjoying the "experience," it seems Brown feels no pressure to field a competitive team. The worst part is that many fans have bought into this mentality, willing to overlook the team's lackluster performances because “Neal Brown is a great guy.” Let’s be clear: being a "great guy" doesn’t win football games. This is year six of the Neal Brown experiment, and it’s clear that nothing is changing. If anything, things are getting worse. Brown has had more than enough time to prove himself, and the results speak for themselves-mediocrity. Mountaineer Nation deserves better. This is a fanbase that’s stood by its team through thick and thin, but there comes a point when loyalty is taken for granted, and that’s where we are now. WVU football used to be about winning, about being feared, and about representing the toughness of West Virginia. Under Neal Brown, all of that has been lost. This program is a shell of its former self, and the fans who truly understand what Mountaineer football is supposed to be are tired of watching it spiral downward. The time for excuses is over. Mountaineer Nation needs a coach who can restore the pride, the passion, and the winning tradition that once made this program one of the toughest in college football. Neal Brown has failed to live up to the expectations, and it’s time for a change before this program’s proud history is permanently tarnished. Mountaineer Nation, it’s time to demand better. We owe it to the players, the fans, and the state of West Virginia to once again become the football powerhouse we know we can be.
