BYU’s offense has been getting stronger each week. Their O-line has only given up 5 sacks in 6 games. And one of the picks in the Arizona game was on the BYU 1 yard line. BYU then drove 99 yards and scored a touchdown in 7 plays. Hopefully now that all the running backs are healthy we’ll see a good increase in rushing numbers.
Here are the only power rankings I feel somewhat comfortable about at this point... 1) BYU 2) Iowa St 3) Arizona St 4) Kansas St 13) Kansas 14) Baylor 15) Oklahoma St 16) Houston The eight teams in between are very hard to organize lol. Subject to change of course.

I think the tiers are pretty solid. Not sure AZ should be bottom shelf. They did beat Utah. Maybe Utah should have only been dropped to the "Pretender" tier. That pains me to say as a BYU fan, though. Utah is 2-1 under Isaac Wilson and they have two "easy" games coming up that they could likely win against TCU and Houston. Wouldn't be surprised to see them at 6-2 and 3-2 in a few weeks before they head into the Holy War. That rivalry game is almost always a toss-up. Even during Utah's 9-game streak, only one of those games was more than a 1-score difference.
By the way, as a BYU fan I get a good laugh at the irony of BYU being described in liquor/bar categories. And am glad that they’re Top Shelf and no longer watered-down Well brand. Cheers! 🍸🤣

Wahoo!!!! Somebody (Houston) sucks worse than us (Kansas) !!!! We're number fifteen ... We're number fifteen ... 🤩🏈🏆 And to be fair to Kansas, they really only had 1 truly bad game ( TCU ). The other 4 losses they have were very close and those teams have the following records ( as of 7:10 PM Saturday Oct 19th ): Illinois 6-1 ( only loss to 6-0 Penn State and beat Nebraska and Michigan) UNLV 5-1 ( getting ready to play Oregon State in the middle of the night ) ASU 5-2 WVU 3-3 ( who lost to 6-0 Penn State, a very close game to 6-0 Pitt, and 6-0 Iowa State). ... the bad news for Kansas is their next 3 games are against ranked teams ( at #17 Kansas State, #9 Iowa State, @ #13 BYU ) and then play a pretty good Colorado team. Their last game against Baylor might be their only other chance for a win this season.
You know looking at all the teams in the Big 12 and to be honest not a team I hate or really even care about, unlike when we were in the Big East, sure I want WVU to be great, but not sure why we are in this conference, I’m Ike 20% interested as I use to be.
Times have surely changed over the past decade. We can blame realignment and the greed of each conference to do whatever it believes will increase its overall revenue regardless of geography or traditional rivalries. WVU is in the Big XII because the old Big East football conference imploded due to mismanagement. The ACC rejected WVU's bid for membership (after Pitt and 'Cuse were accepted) in all sports due to its academic standing. No interest in WVU from the SEC or BIG Conferences. The Big XII accepted WVU for all sports because it had two immediate vacancies after Mizzou and TAMU bolted to the SEC and left them with only 8 schools. WVU even had to go to court to leave the BE immediately and agreed to a $20 million settlement.
For the sake of your fanbase. There should be a clean trade. WVU to ACC and SMU to big 12 Or better yet. WVU UCF and Cincy to AcC for Cal Stanford and SMU. Oh but wait…that makes too much sense 🙃
@@fwilliamcony28 honestly wished acc/xii would just break away from this mythical SEC Big10 bull and form their own thing. It would have coast to coast appeal, and you could make such a trade and all 6 fan bases could have something real to cheer for. I feel for you WVU fans, it would be like BYU playing in the ACC and playing games that don’t mean a damn thing. No true rivalries. I think this would bring the fun back to CFB. Now it’s time for Yormark and Phillips to get this in Motion.. I know. A little girl with a dream 💭 but my appetite for college ball is lessening as the years go by.
