Interesting concept. Gotta say, calling the first Tesla "luxury for its time" fundamentally misunderstands that vehicle and the one it is based on. That thing was effectively an EV converted Lotus Elise, a famously no-frills minimalist performance car. Look at photos of its interior compared to German cars from the same era and tell me you consider it a "luxury" vehicle.
