The number one result on UA-cam when searching for “most expensive stamps” is a video with over 350K views from the channel Couch Collectibles titled "10 SUPER RARE STAMPS WORTH MONEY - EXTREMELY VALUABLE STAMPS", and unfortunately is wrong in just about everything it says.
Let me help explain what these stamps actually are, and how you can tell if you have one of them, or one that looks exactly like them which have no value.

Lol, guy was a tool and there are too many suckers out there that fall for this garbage. You should fire him ;)
NO!!!!! 350k views!!!! It is hilarious if it was not such a shame! I don't know how, but you must please try to get as much or more views and subscribers to get some valuable and valid content out there! Your knowledge is amazing. Thanks so much for sharing it with us, and thank you for the review of the absolute disgusting video. Maybe you can review more videos like this. Hmmm, I already get my "giveaway" and I will not be so greedy as to ask for more, but I am sure giveaways will be desirable for most of your viewers. 🙂
Thank you so much! You are one of my number one supporters on UA-cam and I greatly appreciate you!!!❤️🫶
@@ThatStampGuy My support is honest. I love your knowledge!
Thanks for the info as always
Thanks for watching! You’re welcome!
That was painful, and not just because of the misidentification of Ben Franklin as Thomas Jefferson. I’m a Canadian and I don’t really collect US stamps, and even I know the difference. And it kept getting worse. His dismissal of the 2 cent Hawaiian Missionary because the design wasn’t particularly fancy gives a sense of “I don’t like it because it doesn’t have a pretty picture.” The same point seemed a bit disdainful of stamps in general as something with adhesive on the back that you stick onto something. When he showed that 1 cent “Jefferson” (yes I know it was Franklin) and said that there were only two of them in existence, I thought he was referring to the “Z-Grill” not some oddity. The whole video comes across as some self-declared “expert” on collectibles, but who really doesn’t know (or care) anything about them other than the price. He certainly doesn’t care about stamps. Giveaways are great, but I don’t collect US stamps.

Love the feedback and thanks for watching! Canada makes some of the most beautiful stamps!
Make more video's! It's good to see someone who knows his stamps as well as their history. As for the other guy, meh!
Thanks so much for the support! 🤙
Great video; these types of videos show up in my feed all the time!
Thanks for watching! Yes mine too which is why I’m attempting to critique some of them
Giveaways are nice!
Thanks for watching! 🫶
Thanks for your videos. Obvious why he posts this sort of stuff. But, you might get a few more eyeballs with a post like - “10 stamps that you might actually have that are worth more $100”. You can then use this video as an opportunity to educate.
That’s a good idea. I like that title 🙂 thanks for the recommendation!
I'm a billionaire just on HARDING stamps
The dude is nuts...bet he won't pay that
Definitely clickbait. My first question would have been: Justin, you seem to be so knowlegeable , so just show me your stock or personal collection. 😉 And I am pretty sure that he got none of both. So nothing else than a wannabe who wants to make money with his channel. 🤑 And not worth to look at. Just my 2 cents. Greets from GER, U.
Yes click bait is the word. Hopefully UA-cam will improve and recognize content with false or lacking information and devalue it.
I'm rich I'm rich I'm rich I'm rich 💲💲💲💲 it's a joke 🤣
Oh my gosh, THANK YOU! I watched that guys videos a long time ago and have since seen other stamp collectors get excited about his information and reference him. Since I've learned so much more about stamps, I also am saddened by the widespread ignorance. You have an AMAZING channel! If you were to do a giveaway, that would be super exciting, and I'd probably have a hard time not holding my breath. I really appreciate the knowledge you share. Thank you thank you thank you:)
Great feedback and thanks for the compliments! I hope to address some more misleading info in upcoming videos.
You don't need a brain to try to monetize yourself on social networks.
Thanks for the information, you're correct no information about the stamps, just fluff on the values. 2 errors on names are not good
Thanks for watching. Yes I totally agree!
Good video, Ryan, but how do I get my blood pressure back down? UA-cam should demonetize or remove videos like this if there are complaints. And there should be complaints. This could totally disenfranchise a new collector, or even erode trust with a stamp dealer if someone now has skewed perception of what their inherited collection is worth. Oh, and I'm all in for the giveaways. 😉
Organizing and cataloguing your stamps is a good way to bring the pressure back down lol. I totally agree but there’s so many views on there I don’t think there’s enough people who actually know about stamps to vote down his video.
Yeah, the coin guy in the video being reviewed sounds like the Sham-WOWW! guy.
Total charlatan
Lol the irony is the product was named “sham”
Thank you for this video 🙂 And yep, I'll take a giveaway hehe 😉
Thanks for watching!
Giveaways are always nice.
I’ll be working on it!
This is one of the best historical compilations of Santa that I have ever seen. Accurate and professionally done. Keep up the great shorts and videos! I watch every one. Merry Christmas...Ho Ho Ho!
Wow thank you for the awesome feedback. Glad you enjoyed it! Merry Christmas!
Awesome Ryan been researching now for 7yrs after being given a 4 generation collection one member being world war 11 hero and had collected stamps from all the counties he spent time in a lot of history I’ve had similar experiences like you with brokers so very quickly I changed the way I do things been listening to your utube videos it was so refreshing to know there were some genuine people out there now 78yrs old 7yrs researching I’m about to sell some of these stamps thanks to the knowledge you have passed along thank you so much for your honesty and help I’m going to trade as Nana Oz. Love to you and your family merry Xmas. Di Osborne
Thanks for the awesome feedback! I’m glad you found some value in the content! Best of luck on your endeavors and hopefully you’ll continue to find value in my future videos! 🫶
Enjoyed! 🙂🎅
Thank you!
👍👍👍
That’s a great and very rare story! Congratulations. Now I live in Mexico. How can I get in to the stamp business to make some money? What do you recommend?
Does Mexico allow older stamps like those from the 80s and 90s to still be used to mail?
😂🤣🤣I also thought the lady receiving the potato for mailing was pretty nonchalant about it. Thanks for a very strange and humorous episode! It would be interesting to see what you will get away with mailing if requests were made.🙂
I’ll try some more either way. Just so my kids have something to remember me by lol. Also I’ll be shipping out those bird stamps to you next week. A Christmas present 🎁
@@ThatStampGuy Wow Ryan, I am looking forward very much to the bird stamps!!!!! I still think you are so hugely generous. I feel privileged!🙂🐦
Thank you for these fantastic videos !! I've never had it, but ive witnessed those who suffer from dandruff. It looks exactly like the " dust " in your protector sleeves. Or someone with an old dog, or multiple cats. id say 90% human dandruff
Could be. But some might be paper as well because he handles a lot of stamps
... This is the truth about Christmas!... Christmas Is a Pagan Practice. ua-cam.com/users/shortsdm8FmW8HK-U?si=QDjuXDtruAvx3Z9N
Thank you for the video. I see these prices on common stamps and fall down laughing. Exactly as you say “Old does not mean it is valuable.” I could wallpaper a room with the stamps and still have money left over from the cost of regular wallpaper.
lol it’s funny but also not since a lot of these videos have so many views. So the majority of people out there believe it to be true are being misinformed. My next video is a reaction to one of these popular videos.
I heard you could mail things like bricks and rocks. I wonder if you could send lumps of coal Maybe it will be considered hazardous material and it would be hard to write on But I think I know a couple people who deserve them
😆 maybe if it’s in a zip loc bag it could work
Where should I start with? I have 50 albums of stamps inherited from my grandfather. I see many of them as unique and have no idea how to start with their value.
You can post pictures of some of them for a valuation here stampcollectors.us/collectors-forum-board/worldwide-stamp-values/
Did I really watch this?😂 And enjoyed it. 😅 hilarious.
😆
I get day old chickens shipped from Ohio to WI . I am always a bundle of nerves until I see that they are all ok, and the post office workers always enjoy seeing them as well:) Shipping anything these days is too expensive.
Apparently you’re not the only one. USPS makes special boxes just for shipping chickens. I’m very curious why it’s a thing. I assume once you have 2 chickens, you can create infinite chickens 🐓🐓🐓🐓
@@ThatStampGuy I only keep 5 females at most for eggs. Roosters are not legal in my residential area. I have them shipped because I want specific cold-hardy, friendly chickens that are all different looking. They are more like friends (that poop breakfast) than fowl for me:)
You should have refused delivery. Then they'd have to send it back.
lol that would have been a good one 😆
My problem is having No One who is honestly trustworthy to go to for assistance assessment of stamps ..as you mentioned don't want to be scammed by anyone in any way shape or form I've heard horror stories grading companies not returning exact submission keeping it or being stolen /lost in mail (yes realize why it's a must to purchase insurance) or even being taken advantage of by someone local dealer shop owner giving me false facts information/advice etc low ball offer etc instead of helping me they profit from my lack of knowledge Started collecting 1970's
There’s no shortage of bad players in any industry and hobby. The best defense is education. You can also take photos of what you have before sending it for a cert or appraisal if you are concerned.
Thank You for taking the time to reply..I appreciate the advice 🙂
The funny part is Creed eating the potato. I actually remember that episode from the Office :)
That's hilarious

Great video! Your story of how you became a successful stamp dealer is very interesting and inspiring! It is a story of a exceptional entrepreneur, perseverance and doing due diligence like obtaining the knowledge and expertise you needed. It was really nice to hear some of your personal story. Congratulations on your success!!!! It is well deserved! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you! I greatly appreciate your feedback and support as always! 🫶
I am new and inherited a collection from my wife’s grandpa. I bought another collection from an estate sale. One stamp I can’t identify. It is the same as your 1923 carmine Washington except it has 3 on the bottom left and right corners. I can only find a 2 cent stamp that matches it. It looks identical to a 2 cent except it has 3 instead of a 2.
Please post a photo of it on this site and I can help you identify it stampcollectors.us/collectors-forum-board/stamp-identification/
Hello can u tell me if my stamps are worth anything if I send you pictures

I bought a big old massive usa stamp collection a few months ago. Need a profit to go over them
You can post some photos of what you have here stampcollectors.us/collectors-forum-board/us-stamp-values/
Your story is very interesting. I have lots of stamps, old post-cards ( used ) and new. I inherited them from grandparents and people that just wanted to give them to someone and felt bad about throwing away pieces of history. My question is what is the easiest way to go about it. I live in town of 3 to 4 thousand people and I am not a technical person. I am very poor and would just like to do something with them as my daughter is throwing it all away when I pass.
You can donate them to the Boy Scouts. They have a stamp collecting badge for kids to earn.
