Apart from the content of the video, very instructive, I have a question related to your light: how come you have no light reflection on your glasses ? Any specific glasses ? Any specific light set-up ?
Hi there, I have ring light behind the camera (Canon M50) I position it high and tilt it down. I have a Neewer light on the left behind the camera. The trick, with glasses is not to lift your chin up too much. If you look carefully at the early sentence « nobody’s better than me » you can see a fleeting reflection of light on the glasses …hope this helps !
@@DavidTomlinsonTipsforTalks Thank you David. I use a Godox+softbox that I put on the side of the camera, and an Elgato that I use to lighten the background, although these are recent and I still need to learn how to use them efficiently. Maybe I need one more light... Thanks for the tip of not lifting the chin too much !
The same thing happened to me with my Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 360; the screen cracked in an inexplicable way without any impact or pressure.
My screen also cracked. Book 2 pro. Right after 1 year.
I saw this within a half hour of purchasing a 16" Galaxy Book5 Pro 360 when I found this video. I went down the rabbit hole for the past couple hours and have decided to forgo my purchase. I appreciate you bringing this to the community's attention. Does anyone have a suggestion for a 16" 2-in-1 convertible? I was going to purchase a Lenovo Yoga, but found countless hinge problems with them. Ugh... I'm open to suggestions.
I bought the new Galaxy Book 4 Ultra just a week ago, and my screen is already cracked; it has been on my desk the whole time!! I'm so sad that I bought it to complete my Samsung ecosystem and within week Im encountering this problem.
Same story here in France. First cracked screen, Samsung refused to cover the repair. Two months after that, the replacement screen cracked again. This time, with no special justification, Samsung covered the repair. Five months later, the second screen cracked. I will never buy a Samsung laptop again.
EVERYTHING I hear coming out of Trump's mouth, I KNOW is a LIE. So, honestly, I turned out whenever he is spewing out his nonsenses, and treat them as nothing but something to laugh at! Because, is words never sees to make any sense! The only thing he communicates to me is that he is a buffoon. What I like about Trump is that he makes me laugh, because of his idiotic utterances. Sometimes I burst out laughing, just by looking at him!
Trump is fun, a good time, tongue in cheek.
Donald's really GREAT at letting me know just how DISCOURTEOUS a public personality can be.
Discourteous for sure, I would also describe it as street vendor style, pushy, brash, over confident, agressive and very difficult to interrupt as it’s a continuous flow of words…for now, the moment of truth is upon us. Let’s see what happens next.
My hinge got damaged , not had a scratch on it. Doesn't cover in warranty
i had the same issue with my pro 4 and samsung refused to fix it under warranty
My Galaxy Book 4 Pro has developed a crack down the screen after less than 4 months; I've treated it the same as the Samsung NP900X4C that I had for 12 years previously without damage. I wish that I'd seen these reports on-line before buying, but I foolishly assumed that a £1,500 notebook would be fit for purpose. There is clearly an inherent fault with these screens, and Samsung should issue a recall and replace the screens with a more resilient design (if that's possible). Update: I've pursued this to the bitter end with Samsung (as I bought it on-line from the Samsung Shop) and they don't want to know. I'm wondering what to do next. But no way am I paying for a repair as (a) it's Samsung's fault, and (b) a repair would simply put it back how it was - too fragile to be fit for purpose.
My screen brock yesterday without any fall or anything shame on you samsung
Great job, thank you for sharing your experience. FYI, the formal French president was Nicolas Sarkozy not François Hollande
Until the battery dies and its a paperweight, sadly this was my experience
Strange, in 4 years, I've never opened the battery compartment ? I've always used the USB charger cable ?
I've owned my Galaxy book 4 pro 360 for less then 2 months. Out of nowhere it has a crack from the top right corner down to the middle the curves to the edge of the screen. Samsung says I have to pay to fix it.
I just got the same hairline crack and i never dropped my laptop.
I had the same issue with the Samsung Book 360. My screen cracked twice as well. The first time, I had it repaired because I had insurance. The second time, it cracked again without any physical impact or adjustments on my part. As a result, I sued the seller and won the case in court. The seller was ordered to refund the full cost of the device plus interest. So, if you are considering taking legal action due to this screen issue, you have a very strong case. I hope this helps. And by the way, the seller will also have to cover the legal costs, so don't hesitate to take action.
Thanks for your precious input. Repaired it…and it cracked again ! Samsung are currently partnering the ParaOlympic games here in Paris whilst applying none of the associated values toward their clients…
Crack appeared after 1 month of buying the book 4 pro. I am still thinking that if the glass is actually gorilla glass 4. We should launch a campaign against this. Unite and do something ?
@@causality482 I bought mine 3 weeks ago, and my screen cracked already.
After a few months, my book 4 360 with a 16-inch screen has cracked (bought on amazon spain). The computer has very little use
SAME FOR ME...NEVER A SAMSUNG AGAIN!!!!!
Yes my Samsung galaxy Book 4 pro 360 display cracked 😢😢😢 Samsung laptop very bad not by
Yes my samsung galaxy book4 pro 360 one month old but display crack 😢😢
Same for me, cracked screen just after opening the lid! Unbelievable. Had been loyal to samsung for many years with their mobiles, wanted to try their laptop, but of utter waste. Won't buy any samsung products from now on, they lost their credibility by coming up with such poor quality laptops and moreover having design flaws, blame customers for it and not covering the cracked screen under warranty. I think I'm lucky to have it not cracked for 10 months!
i have the same problem..after reading all the comments and watching the video i will never buy a Samsung galaxy laptop ever again..i will purchase a Mackbook or a Dell XPS..better screens
yes, I never dropped my computer and even have it in a case at all times, and woke up to a hairline crack and got one more crack, I love samsung but this isn't samsung quality sadly.
Damn. You saved me bro.
Same to be happened to me

How was the screen so far? No cracks?
happened to me aswell, bought the galaxybook 4 pro for $ 2000 10 days ago ( in norway) havent done ANYTHING with it, is already damaged.. pure stupidity
- Hi. Is your laptop the *360* model or the standard model?
C'est arrivé aussi à mon Samsung book pro 2, c'est une honte de vendre un produit pareil de la part de samsung
Happened to mine too. shame as i would have bought all my next laptops from samsung too, if they'd admit to the issue and sort it. now i'll never buy from them again.
This also happened with my Galaxybook 2 x360; lifting the laptop with one hand resulted in a crack in the screen. Clearly a design flaw.
DOes someone know if the Ultra or Book 2 pro had the same problems? They do not bend backwords or are touch screen but I have seen mixed opinions about it. Some say it cracks (tho not as many complaints as the book3 360) but most people are talking about this one.
Yes it's happen to my samsung book pro 2, after 4 month....
@@fuzzynettlesdont buy it, i have one and it's the same screen problem
@@thesilentrunner1460 thank you so much, I almost bought it. I think I will forego the oled screen and just go with ips for now... so unfortunate, it seemed like a good laptop.
@@fuzzynettles thank you! I will not buy it. I guess the oled screen is not ready for laptops yet.
Has anything changed in book4?
Does book 4 still have the same problem on the screen?
Yes. My book 4 360 cracked ONE DAY after arriving. What a fucking joke.
yes my book 4 360 16 inch screen is cracked, after few months.
My book 4 screen is absolutely destroyed after 1 month of opening it and closing it on a desk a few times a day Both sides from the hinges all the way up and multiple cracks accross Samsung are saying I've damaged it myself. The laptop is as new and no damage at all. Very dissapointing. Will be moving away from samsung when I get the chance 500 pound for a new screen after a month on an already 2k laptop. 😂
Is it the standard book4 or the PRO, 360?
@LeonardoM.F from what I can work out, it's any galaxy book. It's not worth the risk. Why pay so much for a premium product that isn't premium with no support on the matter. It's a big problem they're not willing to address. Don't take the risk
@@jakeford4233 It's because the standard book4's screen isn't made of glass on the outside, maybe that guarantees the difference.
@@jakeford4233 But thanks, I'll consider it. It's a shame that for the price I didn't find anything like it.
Very helpful video, thanks sir
Same thing happened to me. Same experience with Samsung service denying any responsibility. Please update this video if there is a class action suit I can join.
Do you think if i buy a screen protector and a case i can prevent this problem?
Not sure, some people are saying that it's a thermal problem. The screen heats under use, and cracks when cooling, as it's stuck to the metal cover. It's ultra slim and large too, so that may be the source. I just opened mine one day and saw the crack ? Not certain about the root of the problem, just know there's a problem Alexis...
@DavidTomlinsonTipsforTalks can you recommend me laptop with touchscreen? I was think about microsoft surface 4 but the ports and charger are just not it.
Just don't risk it. Buy something like a dell You'll get much better aftercare.
@jakeford4233 I'm interested in buying the surface laptop studio should I or the dell inspiron?
No I Ihad a screen protector and case on mine. Debating whether to buy a new laptop or spend $350 for a new screen
Just happened to me. I'm beyond upset as I really take very good care of my stuff. Never any physical issues.
Hi... Do you have the *360* model or the regular model?
@@VAIO294 360
Yeah. Never broke a screen on a laptop bf I owned this. It's beautiful but with this fatal flaw. I took extremely good care of it. I was very aware of the potential for damage bc of the thin screen. Now got to stare at a cracked screen for 4 years... thanks for bringing this to attention.
- Hi. Is your laptop the *360* model or the standard model?
Same thing here in the UK. I one handed picked up my Book 3 pro 360 £1849 4 month old laptop after a days work, and I heard a strange delaminating type sound, almost like something unsticking, didn’t think much of it. Next day I opened the laptop, i was greeted with a cracked screen. I’ve tried and tried with Samsung over the phone and email and they have been just terrible. They say it’s my fault and they want £576 to fix it. There is clearly an issue when reading so many other people’s experiences!

I have the same issue in Norway with book 3 360. Our company bought one a year ago and after 9 month of use the screen broke by itself. And the support from Samsung doesn't answer.
Barely anyone talks about this, thank you.
Brilliant!
Hi thirasgooo ua-cam.com/video/xKiFb9bGmQA/v-deo.htmlsi=E3TOemAPTMvVfnD4 Check out this link …
Here in Brazil we have several reports of the Book3 Ultra screen cracking. Samsung says the same thing about being misused and denies the warranty. Our theory in the case of the GB3U is that if you close it while it is still hot, the screen will expand due to the heat of the metal frame, so the the glass will expande and it will be compressed in the frame, which make it to crack. Almost all of the reports we have were in this scenario, they are using the GB3U, close it, and so when they open it the next day it is cracked. Clearly this is a product engineering failure, but Samsung refuses to acknowledge it.
Hi Tiago thanks for the detailed feedback ! I’ll take this up with Samsung here in France…let’s keep in touch. David
I'm facing a similar issue here in India. Unfortunately, they refused to cover it under warranty. I believe we should file a complaint against Samsung for this. The judiciary process might be slow here, but I'll definitely pursue it. It's a significant waste of both money and time on this product. To me, it seems like a fundamental design flaw. Even a tiny speck of dust can cause the laptop to crack when closed.
