will someone please explain to me why Ajaji is starting for this team and Ben is coming off the bench? he has gone from NBA prospect to a guy defense can almost ignore. the 3s are often absolute bricks....love to hear this one addressed.

Don't understand where the killer instinct is on this team. Get out to a fast start and put a team away! I mean against Nicholls, your 1 and 2 guards have to play 38 minutes? Because of that, Jun Seok Yeo plays 3 minutes! Innocenti 2 minutes? Makes me wonder what coach and the staff ever saw in Yeo. Third year player who played some internationally I believe and he plays walk on minutes!🤔 Such a shame!

For some strange reason the ZAGS BB team look a bit disorganized. Pretty sure Coach Few will adjust the starting lineup...sometime...like last year.

What do you think about a slight tweak to the starting lineup? 1. Nehmbard 2. Hickman 3. Ajayi 4. Gregg 5. Ike. Battle goes back to a more natural assassin role off of the bench, where he and Huff can be the focal points of the offense, plus playing with Huff creates more space for Battle to drive. Ajayi playing the 3, then has great positional size, and our bench would be an offensive juggernaut.

I've enjoyed the last few games between WVU & Gonzaga!! Would like to see em meet up more often! We finally got a win this yr over ya in what turned out to be a banger in a tourney, but I believe you guys have a great team and will have another great season! Normally I'd be absolutely furious that someone in Spokane would cheer against WSU. However, I understand. Because WSU is now a serious threat to The Gonzaga. So I take it as a compliment.

There were rumblings about a bug hitting the team hard last week, which may have factored into some of the sub-par performances. We definitely need the 'Upper GI' (Ike) back to form consistently, to threaten the upper end of our season expectations.

If we had pulled a win over Kentucky the Ike discourse would be quiet right now. He had a phenomenal performance in that game and it was a game we could have and should have closed out, but because of 1 point people are still ragging on him. He deserves his flowers for Kentucky.

I said it on another video... But I'd like to see Hickman be more aggressive and attack the rim. That would get him to the free throw line and maybe get opponents into foul trouble. As of now he has a total of 4 free throws in 10 games. I don't know if he's wired to be aggressive though.

Once again supposed 'fans' come out of the woodwork over some losses to troll. I suspect there will be apologies owed by the end of the year AGAIN at which time all these trolls will disappear AGAIN.

Zags players like Graham Ike/Nolan Hickman can't play consistently against the way better bigger athletic physical players from college basketball teams like UConn/ Kentucky etc. & only play good against the crappy 💩 teams like cupcake 🧁 teams we play plus the fact that coach Mark Few will never win national championship game with 7-8 man roster rotation with leaving really good players on the bench either with saving extra year with redshirting or players like 17 year old big center Ismaila Diagne that's not redshirting need a extra 7 foot rim protector so Graham Ike is not getting into foul trouble because he's supposedly a center that ain't even 7 foot center just a power forward he can't play good defense against way taller athletic physical centers so good luck with winning national championship game this year because you'll need it against way better competition in NCAA tournament

While I don’t think it’s necessary to burry Graham with calls for him to sit, I do think his underperforming has been very concerning. Few is quick to take him out when he’s not doing well which is good considering I don’t think Huff has what it takes to be the main post player right now. I think the biggest takeaway is that Ike plays well situationally. When the environment is right he can go crazy (see Kentucky game) and when the environment is off he just doesn’t have what it takes to create his own buckets (see Uconn). No need to take him out of the starting lineup at this point but instead just realize that he’s more of a specialist than a Swiss Army knife. We should focus on developing other avenues for offense and lean on Ike when the time is right. It feels like we as a fan base expected him to have a Timme time breakout moment and be the sort of big that can generate offense under any scenario. I think that expectation was a bit unfair

Hickman and Ike need the bench. This is the most overhyped zag team in the last 10 years

I'd like to see Hickman be more aggressive, attack the basket and get to the free throw line. He's only had 4 total free throw attempts in 10 games.

The Huskies defense against Gonzaga was superb. They gave the Zags little to no space offensively. If Graham Icke can't score early, his game tails off defensively. He is not a rim protector. His foot work is lacking and he doesn't elevate. Bradon Huff has to put the ball on the floor before he shoots. This will allow the smaller players to steal the ball. The chemistry between Hickman and Nembhard is lacking. In my opinion Nembhard handles the ball too much and has some difficulty finding the open player. I would start Ajayi over Icke. Ajayi is more active defensively in the paint. Finally, the true Achilles heal for Gonzaga is they have no low post scoring like in the days when Drew Timme was with the Zags. The inability to score in the low post will not off set there "streaky" outside shooting. Without the ability to score in the low post the Zags will not get deep in the NCAA Tournament.

this guy is a clown. Zags never in it? I am not a zags fan but they led in 2h and also are 3rd now in Vegas to win it all. Plus he cherry picks stats, like everyone is going to play great vs a good team. Have you ever coached, pal?

I don't complain about officiating too much but, how many times did Uconn travel. Three that i saw, and two were obvious! Also, there is no foul call on Gregg or Huff in critical one or two possession game. Both were slapped right on the forearm and no call. Life on the road, I guess. Very frustrating, NO show game from two seniors and two or three ridiculous Hail Mary's from UConn and lose by six! Also, I don't think you gave Dusty Stromer enough credit. Yes his shots didn't fall thus night but at least he looked like he wanted to play the game! Tremendous hustle, rebounding, energy and no turnovers and a steal! Ike and Hickman didn't even compete! I figured they were probably sick!

The UCLA game is all of a sudden gigantic!

Andy, I had the opposite feeling as I thought the Zags were somehow still in the game despite being down 13 to start and then giving up that 10-0 run after tieing it up. I believe they were only down 4 when McNeely made that circus shot

That circus shot by McNeely looked like 3 steps to me in real time, but maybe not...will have to go back and re-watch. And then Ajayi responded with a crazy make of his own on the next play!

Is 3 in the key still a thing in basketball? I could swear with around a minute left, I saw Karaban pitch a tent in the key, start a fire, roast some weenies, and then he got the ball for the layin.

This was a great game. I have a lot of respect for Gonzaga as a UCONN fan. Always root for them unless they play UCONN. They are always well coached. Not semi....LOL. This is a home game for UCONN. Believe me.

The last thing this team needs is to have us, the fans bash them for being human...get behind them not on top of them!!!

Flat out our bigs just collapsed under pressure. If Johnson wasn’t hurt we would have lost by 10 or more. Huff was at least serviceable but should have played better. If he would have hit a couple more of his shots we would be praising him for a solid performance. Ike on the other hand?? Truly an embarrassing game by him. He seems to only be good situationally. Nembhard makes Ike look like Karl Malone when the defense lets us run a high pick n role. Other than that Ike has completely lost his ability to post up in isolation. He’s not big enough to only have two or three post moves. I dont know what the answer is but I think the Zags should consider moving away from him as the go to offensive threat. He’s fine in pick n role, other than that don’t pass it to him unless it’s a mismatch

The hardest part is that we have seen the flashes of brillance this team has.... But then these large streches where things just disappear make games that we know are SO WINNABLE end up as losses. It just is brutal.

How come he was not used in the Kentucky or UCONN game? Mark Few was outcoached in both games by not making adjustments at the correct time.

I wouldn't be shocked if next week, UC Davis announces that football is joining the MWC. They couldn't announce it last week, because they were still playing in the Playoff.
