i got a tattoo on my forearm a few days ago and my tattoo artist told me to keep the film on for a week. saturday-friday (i have a volleyball game this friday and if youve played volleyball correctly yk youre using your forearm 99% of the time so its rough) but he said for my game on friday wrap it up, in layers of gauze, after the game, take it off and start after care. this is day 4 with my film on. this doesnt seem right because its starting to itch a bit (its fully covered and everything)

The tattoo I have now is a coverup over one I had in the past . The first one was not too bad , and the pain was pretty manageable . The coverup however was a whole different story ! A "dragon in a cloud" It turned into a sort of sleeve that extends from the wrist to the elbow , but , it is basically only on the top of the arm. But, the THREE AND A HALF HOURS that it took to do it was a test of will! !! We finally had to stop for a few minutes , and the artist suggested that we take a breather , and get my head back into finishing the artwork. The worst of that pain was on the underside of the arm near the wrist , where the artist was pushing against the bone . But, I figured that I had gone that far , I just as well finish what I started so that I wouldn't have to sit through another session . I think one of the worst parts of the second tattoo was the addition of the colors . And, there is a lot of COLOR in this one . Darkening the colors required the artist to stay in one place for longer than usual, like "filling in the holes" .I have a pretty high tolerance to pain, but this pushed my limits .

Ive seen and heard so many different ways of healing. I just left the bandage on for 2 hours then washed it. Let it air dry for 20 minutes then use a fragrance free lotion. I do this from day 1. I wash twice a day and lotion around 3x a day. After both washes and once in between. My tats seem to heal just fine 🤷‍♂️

I’ve had multiple tattoos and know how to keep myself calm, I still watched this video just cause of your awesome personality

Antibacterial soap to clean tattoo and light coat of Vermont Bag Balm is the best way. My tattoos heal everytime in 3 to 4 days. No scabbing just a tiny light line of skin flaking around edge of the tattoo( looks like a sunburn peeling but very mild). I swear by Vermonts Bag Balm

My method is when its an especially painful area or even anywhere really, breath out with the needle contact time make a quiet hiss or shhh with your mouth. It gives my mind a separate sensation to focus on (that being the feeling of the air on your teeth and palette)

What can I use if my tattoo is infected

I got mine yesterday 3-12-2024. aTaurus, big one on my left upper arm. From shoulder to elbow when my Artist came to my Tricep it started to hurt the same at my shoulder and halfway up the bicep. I almost gave up the last two hours were torture! My god I was in pain as if he was tattooing on the bone. I have never had such pain. I can tolerate a lot I have a high pain threshold, but this?!.......But I got a beautiful Tattoo in return.

I’ve been putting Aquaphor on my tattoos and Neil Sporn. I just recently got my first ever tattoo. I have two of them. I have a medium to small butterfly and then I have a heart on my left wrist. The butterfly hurts way more and the heart doesn’t really hurt at all, I’ve been putting Aquaphor and put some Neosporin on it
