Nice videos, and a very good skill at work, in woods and also during repairing your machines.Surely more than me. The massey is old but gold and really productive at work, also the winch and choker system is good. I suggest you a repair for you when you are using your winch. If you broke the cable or a chain would be really really dangerous.with your skills you could even put some electric piston om the command and remote control.

I ordered a Q602 for my building crane (6 bottons, 2 with double speed (up & down)). The original RC gave up while I was halfway fixing the roof on my house. They ask €1800 including taxes (about US$ 2000) in specialized shops for a new version. I ended up buying directly from LCC which will cost me about US$ 175. I hope I'll be just as satisfied as you within a few days. Edit: It arrived today. Total cost: € 163 30 minutes work for replacing the old Imet M320 with the LCC QQ602. So far, 100% satisfied. The old transmitter worked with rechargeable 6 Volt custom made batteries which cost more than the whole set from LCC. The LCC model uses 2 standard LR6/AA batteries. One time or rechargeable so much cheaper to use. Range of use is also superior.

["They say Birch is the BEST firewood"] Who the heck are [THEY]..... It's more like a ok firewood, beech and oak are in the top 2 on my list........ Ever notice liming trees can be very tricky and or dangerous, I didn't think so, I'm probably the only one that gets slapped around, banged, knocked down and hit in the face with limbs.... In first week of February I dragged a oak tree down that was hung up, it was over a foot on stump, then I started liming and got one side done and most of top. So far everything was going good, then went back down on other side and started on a 3" limb, now I dont like leaving 3" oak limbs in woods so I went up around 10' to cut end off..... But what I didn't notice is, that limb was bent up like a bow at 45* angle, limbs that grow upwards at 45* angle is normal so I thought nothing of it, but when I cut the top of limb off man oh man didn't I ever get it. Picture a 2-3" hard oak limb bent back like a bow then cut the end off when it's about 1ft off ground. That limb hit me so hard on left leg just below the knee that it knocked me 10 ft back on the ground, I felt something pull like my muscle or something, what ever pulled hurt so bad I could barely walk..... So I made it back tractor and headed out, when I got back to house my leg was hurting even worse, wife got ice-pack and placed that on my leg about 4hr, it didn't help. So there I was for 2 solid weeks, in a recliner watching old tv shows and YT. On pain scale of 1-10, I was around 20, I could barely walk, I had all I could do to go up and down stairs, even getting into bed hurt, getting dressed hurt..... A week later I bought one of them [Tens massage units] which helped a little. It was about 3 weeks before I could start doing stuff again, and pain was down to around 5 on pain scale..... So after 3 weeks I went back in the woods to get rest of trees out that was left, I wanted to get them out while there was still snow on ground.... This is how I know that Satan exist, the first tree I limbed was an ash about 12" on stump, no limbs til come to fork at top, it spread to 5' in about 12' , one side of fork was on ground and other side up about a foot. So I cut top off the limb that was on ground at about 3", then cut other top off at same length, when I did that top swung up and around hit me in the chest and that limb knocked me over, the saw and helmet went flying, but luckily it only knocked the wind out of me..... I wont go into the next two times I got hit with limbs this past month because story is to long now. But I've been cutting wood and limbs for 50 years and I never ever got banged around like I have this past month. So now after about 6 weeks the pain is down to maybe 1/2-1, I'm able to move around quite good and the firewood is all out............ And I thought hot-dogs was an American tradition, I'll take mind with catchup, mustard and my wife's zucchini relish, along with some ginger ale. We have beans and hot-dogs every Saturday, that a ole fashion ME tradition, in rare occasions we coleslaw, but finding good coleslaw isn't that easy, very few places no how to make it or if they do it's terrible........ PS Hope you find this extra long post not to boring......

Best to make it yourself 😁

  • @brianworley7705

Good video. Thank you for sharing. Regarding birch being the best firewood, in my opinion, it depends on what wood is available to choose. In our area, western larch is a good firewood. Douglas fir and birch are not far behind. But, if one had access to oak, maple, or fruit woods, those are harder and burn longer in our experience. However, in our close area, there are few if any of those trees. Mostly grand fir and lodgepole pine available pretty abundantly, plus some spruce of unknown variety. Lodgepole, then spruce, then grand fir, in my opinion.

I lost all snow last week, only had 1ft, but it was enough to smooth out woods road so I could go in 1st gear high range, almost to where I was cutting my firewood. Now I'm all done til ground dries up and or when I feel like going in granny gear, that could be August..... You showed why I prefer FEL on tractor. My bucket has 16" forks so I can lift logs, pile brush, put up high to push trees over, and if stuck I can use bucket to push me back out, best of all I can brag on how much better a FEL is vs blade, if I wanted to brag.....

Good idea to crack the return line. There is a block heater, but the wires for it are completely disintegrated, I'll replace it eventually.. Thanks for the comment! ❤️

We had a 165 and 185 4x4 good tractors in their day.. Also I had a Fordson super major 4x4 with isacson winches.. in the late 70s we used a universal 4x4 with winches .. for small estate plantation thinning .
