There's a reason why they don't allow drones and such out there in the National parks ... strange lights , climbers at night ..strange sounds ..rock slides .. How are you , there only one there ..?? Others would surely have the same idea .
@user-mj4yo7pi9j "In Canada's national parks, the landing and take-off of an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) - also known as a drone - is prohibited." Cited: parks.canada.ca/pn-np/bc/yoho/gestion-mgmt/acts/drone Unfortunately people are too quick to make assumptions, not often reading the fine print. As quoted above, it is illegal to "take off or land". National, provincial or wildland parks don't have authority over airspace and can only control what happens on the ground. Once taken off you can fly wherever you want so long as you land back where you started. The only exception to this rule would be within class F airspace, including but not limited to military bases, government buildings or prisons. I can provide you a phone number to a parks Canada office if you'd like to confirm this with them 👍
The concern is appreciated though, many people break these rules!
@Nic_Chy yes , yes they do ... including you lmao
Hey Nic great vid btw, what altitude is that? Thanks <3
@MrGonza74 Thanks dude! The lake was almost exactly 7000ft. My hometown Calgary is roughly 4000ft, everything is decently high up. This hike started at about 5500. Highest mountain around here I think is 12,000 maybe
I appreciate the effort but it's pretty generic. Setting the camera and walking away shot has been overused in youtube.
That style is probably overused yea. I think what's not generic is rest of the video, not often do I see these types of videos made in such unique and beautiful locations such as 10:30 and all that, everyone seems to like it so far! Thanks for the feedback :)
Canada is so beautiful ❤
Good lord - the scenery alone is absolutely beautiful. At video time 10:30 and 18:45 it felt like a painting Bob Ross would have made. just gorgeous. Loved the video man!
Thanks! Bob Ross, I love it haha!
Amazing hike and video! The views on top are unbelievable. I think we are not too far off and definitely one of the hike I want to do. I am heading to Jasper today for a few nights and excited to explore that part of the area.
Cool thanks dude! Where you staying around Jasper?
@@Nic_Chy we will be staying at the Whistler Campground and will be exploring from there.
@@SilentZenCampcool have fun! Be safe too
god that view looks like a painting 😭
Was there a trail leading to the ridge that you camped at, or did you have to find your own way up? Great video BTW.
Thanks! There was a couple different trails up there. The way I took was steep and difficult, I ended up finding a much easier way after haha, but yea definitely a trail
Wonderful video! Very Survivorman esque which I'm sure we all enjoy. Great content
Thanks Jayden, that cool to hear. I appreciate you watching and the comment :)
This place is magnificent! Watching this just makes me feel good! Bravo man!
Glad I could make you feel that way!
@@ervinslens don't it though! I love it!
18:28 so lovely
that was so lovely❤️🔥
Glad you think so :)
This was absolutely amazing! The countryside there is so beautiful, I never get tired of seeing it! That one fish you caught by the belly or tail made me laugh so hard😂 .. As easy as it is to catch fish there, you could live there for weeks! You're the only person I've ever seen that cooks bread on a campfire, I'm going to have to try that.. do you make the dough or do you buy it? I could not believe you slurped up all those fish eggs 🤢 lol it was cool to watch but I wouldn't want to do it..haha as always you had such beautiful drone footage.. Towards the end you look so sunburned, I'm sure you were so tired but it made me want to go camping haha there is so much more I can say but I will end for now. Thanks for working so hard to put out such a good content for us to see!
Yea dude I could probably live out there for a while haha! Second day I didn't put sunscreen on as I assumed I still had some left but I guess the water probably washed it off. Nose was quite burnt, gotta be better!
Nice video
Thankyou 😊
Nice trip. Thank you for sharing 😊

Do you bring bear protection with you?
@@v1tam1ns Bear spray yes
hey man loved the video one gripe, you kept your little Rhode mic on even when you weren't talking so its just a lot of heavy breathing, Cheers
Thanks! I noticed that actually 😂 my bad, I still want it on to capture the sounds around me but maybe I'll put it on my waist or something when I'm not talking so I don't pick that up
@@Nic_Chy even if you have a camera mic or something for those shots where you don't need to talk would do
@cybermelon3446 true, I just record with my phone. I'm thinking maybe I'll clip the mic to my phone case for those ones, in a way it'll sort of be like a camera mic
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant and your storytelling is so captivating!
@ervinslens Thankyou I appreciate that 😁
enjoy your lonelyness
Prime grizzly country.
Absolutely, most places in western Canada are. You definitely have to take precautions in order to stay safe. If I'm solo in bear season I try to stay in busier areas with more people around.
Fookin Rain 😅intrupts everything 😊
Nic that's amazing brother ❤ keep going. We both sailing the same boat at the moment ❤. Keep going. See you somewhere 😊
Thankyou bro 🙏
Wow, this video captures the essence of camping so beautifully! The cinematography is stunning, and the scenery is breathtaking! Outstanding work Nic
Hey thanks man! I really appreciate that comment
Love it. Sorry you got rained out! Insanely beautiful views as always
Thankyou :) Glad you enjoyed it
I watched it all and loved it as usual! Such a good video bro! You deserve every subscriber you get plus more! I remember seeing you use that secret recipe sauce before, the burgers looked good! I love seeing unplanned things like the rain showing up and the mess it caused.. I kept thinking "he's so close to the water he's going to be washed away in the middle of the night!" 😂 Your drone shots were amazing, my absolute favorite was at 6:58.. seeing the tops of those trees from above and all the colors they make.. breathtaking! Great job bro! Great job!
@Daroo468 dude thanks! Makes me super happy to hear how much you enjoyed it! Yea Rain was definitely unexpected lol, the river was actually like 2 or 3 feet higher than usual due to all the rain we have gotten recently, so yea definitely could be flooded in middle of night, part of the reason I left. Ya live ya learn. We have gotten more rain this year than I ever remember in my whole life. As a result though the province is on another level of beauty I don't think I've ever seen, it's so green! Thanks for watching as usual
Heck yeah!! Watching now!
" lean down and start sucking " lmao on yr life straw video.. no wonder the comments wete disabled 🙄

Awesome video thanks for sharing your experience, was just there a week ago after watching your previous videos.
Cool thanks! Where in there did you camp?
@@Nic_Chy Wasn’t really sure where I can camp and it was getting dark so I just went to Waiparous Creek Campground. I know there’s lot of free camping stops that I found the next day exploring but nothing like the spots you shared. Would be great if you can share some spots for my next visit. Thanks!
@@YadpreetAulakh Ah yes I see where you went, you went a little further down highway 40 that I usually do. I take a left turn right before this big farm onto Range Road 748 (on a map it also may be called "Turn to Ghost"). From there you go down a slightly bumpy road for a couple kms before coming up on the start of the trail, a little bridge will be there. From there, there is 10s of kms of trail which eventually leads to the river bed. The river bed is great but there is lots of cool spots all over.
@@Nic_Chy thanks for sharing I will try to find a good spot there next time.
Beautiful view brother ❤
@@Mohitranahimalyannorseman thanks for watching again dude!

Awesome video dude! I like watching you get so excited over your food (honey) haha That meal was awesome and made me hungry! I have never cooked meat on top of coals, I guess I'm going to have to try it and see what it's like! The drone footage was awesome, very moving with the music behind it... At least I think so, I am a very emotional person though, I get made fun for it..haha take care of yourself and get to feeling better! Tell Luke we said hi and we're anxious to see him again! One question... What brand of pants are you wearing? Are they good for winter and summer both? I need some decent hiking and camping pants...
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it amd I appreciate the kind words. I'll tell Luke you said hi, looking forward to getting him back on here soon. The pants are Helly Hansen Softshell quick dry cargo pants. I wear them year round, except in the cold cold winter I wear them with thermal pants and sometimes some snow pants. Very breathable though aNd just AMAZING. I have worn them probably 300km of hiking and backpacking. Last year I did the North Coast Trail on Vancouver island, 110km in 5 days. No problem for them. That trail btw, oh man I wish I had a youtube channel back then, no words for it. Maybe one day I'll head back and make a huge and awesome video there!
@@Nic_Chy I'm going to look those things up! I hope they make some for fat guys 😂
@@Daroo468 they'll fit you don't worry
@@Nic_Chy I could relate so much when you wanted to jump over that stream! Haha I'm sure I couldn't have gotten over it now but I would have tried! A lot of times I climb trees just to prove to myself that I'm not getting too old and too fat! I would like to do a little rappelling or even skydiving just to conquer something... A bungee jumped once but it was a very long time ago
WOOO! I'm watching now!
