This episode I spend the night solo camping in a 100 year old, abandoned fire lookout. Built in 1929, and abandoned in 1954, the Cameron fire lookout is just remnants of what once was. I endure cold, snow, wind and much more on this journey, but despite the challenges it was one to remember. I hope you enjoy! #solocamping #firelookout #cabin #camping #nature Instagram: nichymycz

Thanks appreciate it my man!
@@Nic_Chy don't let anyone stop your grind and you are doing good with your content. we waiting to see what you will upload
subbed
Hey thanks Matt 😊
Epic little spot!
Neat video! Never tryed hot tenting, looks cool to try someday. Doing my first fly in trip in a few weeks. Hoping i can find a sled to rent from someone so i dont have worry about backpack weight so much lol
Yea definitely give it a try it's super fun! Where you flying to?
@Nic_Chy Fairbanks Alaska, planning a 2 night trip into Denali week of winter solstice!
@SuperdutyExplorer no way that's a dream! I've been wanting to do a huge road trip to the arctic for like 4 years, hoping I can even do part of it this year but we will see! Have fun!
What model stove do you have?
It's a Pomoly Ti Mini 3 I believe
@Nic_Chy I'm looking to get a Pomoly stove too, to get some hot tent camping in this year
@allgames23 sweet! Yea i definitely recommend!
It's called a herd of Elk. Your dinner looked delicious.
Ah yes, thankyou!
Awesome I live out by Galloway!
Very cool! That's super close, im jealous of how much snow you guys get
@Nic_Chy ya it's crazy this year dude!
@d-railfpv9315 do you ski?
@@Nic_Chy no I use to though, and snowmobile too. We are pretty lucky around here
@d-railfpv9315 yea I noticed that around there, people ripping snowmobile literally right outside of town 😂 can't do that in Calgary, BC has so much more crown land it's awesome
Great video! I'm excited for finals to be over so I can go winter camping, I'd be a little too scared to camp by myself like you though! Stay safe ❤️
@asimplepoet1057 thanks! Excited for you, yea it can be really comforting to have others with you
Excellent video as always. But if I could make a suggestion. Don't split your wood beside the stove.if a piece was to fly and take out the glass you would be screwed.
That's a really really good point and not something I would have thought of, will definitely make sure I don't. Thanks!
enjoy and be safe in all your videos.
Thanks! Will do
It's always a highlight watching your videos from the Antarctic! Feel like I'm there hanging out with ya! Keep it up buddy!!

Forgot utensils , forgot cheese , forgot a headlamp. But managed to not complain once and just kept adapting! Fantastic camp! This is my first time seeing your channel. Great video! Keep up the good work. Sometimes everything can go wrong but it still better than not trying at all 🫡

@@Nic_Chy Question/ my friend…. what type of tent is that and stove…?
It's the Pomoly Locomotive 3 tent, the stove is the Pomoly Mini 2.0 stove, really great stuff!
@@Nic_Chy Thanks for sharing, some great gear indeed… Take Care…‼️

@@RCSDTY 🥶😬
Gorgeous! Did you keep the fire going all night? How often do you need stoke the fire?
Thanks! No unfortunately the fire only lasts roughly 2 hours before going completely out. I woke up briefly 5 hours after I went to bed and tried starting it again. If it was really really cold id probably have to stoke it quite a bit to stay warm during the night
