  • For this trip I headed into the Spray Lakes Provincial Park near Canmore, AB, Canada. The area is home to towering mountains, beautiful lakes and a vast array of wildlife. I stayed overnight at Rummel Lake, a high alpine lake at the base of Mount Galatea, the highest mountain in the area at over 10,000ft. In the middle of the night a large snowstorm rolled in, bringing with it extreme winds. This proved to be a challenge for both my tent and my ability to fall asleep. In the end, it was one to remember and I hope to be back! I apologize for the low quality at the start of the video as I travel at dusk, it improves once I set up camp and get some lights rolling! #rockymountains #camping #backpacking

I thought this was a really good video! Great personality...love the chatter. Your humility shows as you manage the struggles of camping in difficult conditions. Like that! Subbed and looking forward to catching up on your past videos and the new adventures to come. Good luck and continued success from a fellow Canadian. 🇨🇦

Aw thanks Barb that means a ton! I appreciate the comment, definitely more videos to come. Some will be day hikes, some overnight, some overlanding. Just trying to make a relaxing type of video :)

Its so so I find, not the warmest but warm enough to get me through the night for sure. Definitely need a pad underneath for snow and cold weather like in this video. Thankyou!

Been getting stuff slowly over the last 4 years or so. I really appreciate that by the way, I think the last one I made was the funniest just because it was a complete fail. Maybe check out my first video, I made the worst chicken ever 😂
I'll keep making videos so hopefully they continue to be entertaining! I have another one ready to go for about a week from now.

It's a Gregory Stout 65. It's the old model though. I actually got it brand new for like $150 4 years ago. I guess it was new and returned or something so was 50% off, something like that. Was one of the first things I ever bought.

Beautiful, but maybe you shouldn’t step on top of your tent with your micro-spikes on. I guess it’s easy to forget obvious things when tired.

Sick adventure dude! 2 tips if you're going to be snow camping. 1) either buy legit snow stakes or learn to make deadman anchors using little sticks/branches and 2) if you're going to be facing any severe weather, use the guylines on your tent. It will improve wind resistance and snow load capabilities dramatically. The fact that you were worried about the tent breaking because it wasn't guyed out could have turned into a survival situation very quickly.
