I’m aware that this comment is 10 years late, but I love this theme so much. After finishing Zeta Gundam, seeing everything that happened in the last few episodes which were intense, this strangely soothed me. I enjoyed it so much, especially that last episode when it was all over, at least until ZZ. Thanks for posting this, brings me back memories of my first ever watch of this incredible series.

Ah yes! One of the greatest Gundam Mangas in existence that Sunrise refuses to animate because reasons! Well if Moon Gundam gets an animation I'm sure Crossbone will get it's chance when they run out of ideas for new UC Shows.

This is the best mecha anime of all time.

fun fact: this anime was actually made as parody of the super robot genre and tokusatsu at the time, so for newer people, they might not pick up on what made this show popular back in the day. Especially for people who are not very familiar of the medium. Great review though, very nostalgic seeing this show again.

Well this is the classic anime, even though it’s based very loosely upon a much darker and edgier manga which has more similarities to Evangelion than most anglophone geeks think.

I love the series I watch the latin american spanish dubbed of the Teknoman growing up an older kid in the late 90's, Saban's international edit, And while I admit the japan opening and the name tekkaman and the volttekka cry have nice rings to it, but I find somewhat silly the nickname of D-boy, intead of just calling him Blade like in the international english dub, plus after years of having to read subs all the time back then when the dubbing of anime was not as widely developed compared to today, and I have always believed that if you watch something in a language you can comprehend aurally, you can more easily dive into the plot.

To the gayest couple in Gundam canon

I really did enjoy the animation and the mecha design of that mech, but the ending is such a downer, I expected the characters to save the planet, but no, it just turns out they have no other choice, but to accept the tragedy that occurred that turned out to be S-1 this whole entire time, I just frickin' hated the ending! Seriously, what is up with animators in Japan always wanting to end the show with a downer ending, is it there long tradition? There choices can be bit too unfair for audiences to handle.

I love Zambot. I have a soft spot for things that have "bad ends". Happy endings are a dime a dozen, but a well executed bad ending? That's rare, but a crying Zambot succeeds. That theme is ace, too. I agree with Killer the Butcher's tone problems. He's not intimidating in the slightest, he's just a cruel jackass.

Anyone notice at 7:19 It might be coincidence, but that little frame looks a lot like a Gundam head. Not exactly 1/1 similar, but the V-Fin, the eyes, and the round shape of the Colony making the head look really cool and menacing
