In case you’re curious, it’s getting redubbed because the new release is based on the HD remastered version of Seed, which included new footage. The original dub doesn’t line up with the redone footage, so they’re making a new one. It’s similar to Funimations redub of Escaflowne in that regard

A Gundam X dub won't happen, unless there is a HUGE demand for it. Obviously these are getting re-dubbed because by the way things looked in that article, the Ocean Group must have made a few miss-translations with their dub, so NYAV Post is planning to fix it by making their dub more true to the Japanese version perhaps?
David315842 No it's the same situation as Escaflowne. The remastered versions have new scenes that Ocean didn't dub for obvious reasons so their dub can't be used. That's why Sunrise have commissioned the new dub.
I was under the impression that Ocean Group did dub these UNCUT originally. Especially since in the UK it was rated 12, which is more or less what most Japanese TV show anime is likely to receive, at least those with daytime/prime time slots. Making a translation that's more faithful to the Japanese version makes far more sense to me.
David315842 the remaster wasn't announced untill 2011 so there's no way Ocean dubbed that version because it didn't exist yet when they were working on seed and destiny. Also, if they were re-releasing the original versions I'm pretty sure they would have used the already existing dubs and not spent money on new ones but because of the added scenes they kinda had to since they don't exist in the originals.
This is the first time you mentioned a "Remaster", as far as I'm aware, these are not remasters in the sense that your thinking. If these are to be "remastered" it would just be in high-definition, meaning a picture upgrade, not an alteration in scenes. If you're referring to the alternate scenes in the Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny TV movies, well Ocean Group did dub those as well (and were released on DVD in North America too), and again I believe they were uncut. This article only mentions an HD remaster, it does not mention an alternate version as far as footage is concerned, it's the same footage by the looks of it. Again, having a dub that's closer to the Japanese makes more sense, not for the sake of an HD remaster, of which they could simply copy and paste the original Ocean Group dub onto the HD footage, unless these "new" episodes do use the TV movie footage to extend their story, in which case fine that does make sense for a new dub to be made in accordance with this change, but you see the article (at least not in this video) doesn't mention that, it only mentions an HD picture enhancement and that's it.

I'm talking about the HD remaster version of Gundam Seed that only has 48 episodes compared to the original 50 as well as new scenes that were not in the original or the special edition as well as re animated scenes and the characters in seed look closer to their destiny designs. I loved the original voice actors...man why are they changing it and wouldn't you know it, my favs characters (athrun, cagaili, lacus,miriallia are the ones they are changing..the hell man. They need to get on a gundam seed movie for god sake. I heared the director was sick and I think died but you have to move on...that's the biggest problem with Japan when it comes to anime...when something unfortunately happens to a voice actor or staffer, they are quick to shut everything down down..just the opposite from in the states where we live by "the show must go on". Wonder will they have 100 different ending like gsd has.

Felipe Lenck that should help but Seed has a pretty poor story compared to ibo. I just really disliked the ending of ibo.
I just want Destiny ending to be fixed up. It's not bad but it doesn't work.
They should just go ahead and get Victory, ZZ, After War Gundam X & Turn A Gundam dubbed.
