So basically, I should not try to get into Accounting?
Do you outsource bookkeeping? I am from India. I am totally into accounting for clients in the States. My speciality is Real Estate (long term rentals/short term rentals/mobile home parks/property management companies). I also have a QB pro-advisor certification. Let me know if I can help.
There are so many CPAs out there today. The designation has losing its value
@@znh8196 there's actually not enough CPAs.

@Logan Thanks for helping me being my journey.

Hi Logan - I am from India , 39 yrs old and planning to opt for Miles Pathway program that enables you to compete 1 year of MS in account and then a 3yr OPT with a guaranteed salary of $60k per year - is this really true and worth taking the risk at this age ?? Need your honest option please !!
over the last decade younger people went for computer science over accounting due to higher pay.
I'm more and more convinced we have to get small firms and colleges connected. The work life balance is much better at a small firm. I'm beginning the process of transitioning out and am building a team of 30-somthings and early 40-somethings to take over. It's scary, probably on both sides, but I'm open to their scheduling needs and the like. This profession isn't easy and much of it is beyond our control (tax deadlines mandated by Congress or states), but it has been the most rewarding for me. I counseled my children that if you love what you do for a living, it's not work. I've barely worked over the last 30 years! Well done, Logan.
Buddy is strange.

I worked for TT this past tax season while back in school finishing my accounting degree. I won't say the preparers were bad -they were certainly better than the national chains -but they were not all great. A lot of them had only a season or two of prep experience and the TT training course. Only a handful were EAs or CPAs and they were not top-shelf, if you get my meaning. I was constantly fixing mistakes on 1040s, never mind the business returns. The way they treat their contractors (poorly) means most people don't come back so they start over with a lot of new faces each year. I'm now working for a firm full-time while I finish my licensing exams.
So nervous. I have a daughter so I'll be being a Mom and working full time AND trying to study.
You can do it!
Everyone has their way,My dylan worked for me and studying didn’t.

Really know about him here,am a single father I was got his information from Twitter and am working with him
This is inspiring. New subs here.
I've never heard of the EA!
So, you basically took 130 clients from your previous firm for $16,500? Math doesn't add up...
@BilalInSanDiego yes. I explain it in the video why it is that way.
Hey Logan, new subscribers here. I'm in my last year to get my B.A. in economics. At this point, any suggestions on how I could get into accounting? Thanks for making videos.
Sounds like a question for a course counselor at your college.

AS A LAD TO ANOTHER LAD YOU ARE HANDSOME
we are the same age! mate but i just got my CPA YESTERDAY!
@@UNIQUEONE-eb8zs woooooo! Congratulations!
I have really high anxiety of imposter syndrome entering year 2 I finished year 1 with 100+ clients and i reinvested a lot into the business getting better softwares and I’m just nervous if there is a downfall Any advice??
Do the best work you can and know that you will make mistakes. How you handle those mistakes is what is important.
it's an accrual world we live in :D
150 hours requirement cannot be earned with BA degree anymore. MA is required and is is very very expensive. Really like Golden Gate uni here in CA but, but oh boy, 50K out of pocket is way too much. Can’t help but feel ripped off. Seriously considering to pass CPA exam and wait until they cancel their stupid requirement.
so i am 32 and looking at getting my BS in accounting then getting my CPA. I find your videos very informative and enjoy them I was wondering if you think it is worth getting into this busness at my age.
Oh yes I’m 40 and I got my cpa license through the help of mr dylan
His availability is on t e l e g r a m
@ Mr_ Dylan01
He’s the best when it comes to cpa
Great insight on the EA. Just my experience, the EAs I have worked with have been less full of themselves than the CPAs. They also have more knowledge in the areas of Quickbooks and what to worry about in bookkeeping and what not to worry about. CPAs, in my experience, have missed deadlines, just don't seem to have the knowledge base of the EAs, and are HORRIBLE communicators. Sorry to pee in anyone's cheerios, but this is just what I have experienced in my three companies over the years. There was a time when a CPA told me there was a huge problem in my books and then ghosted me for three weeks while I stressed out about it trying to figure out what I did wrong. When I finally got hold of him, there was no problem. I have NEVER had that experience with the EA's.
I know I’m 8 months late to the party but I’m a British man 25 studying for my ACCA qualification who ultimately wants to live in the states. What would I have to do to be “allowed into the country”
I do personal taxes but would really appreciate some content on how to prepare partnership or Corp tax returns. If you provide training for a fee, even better.
Saying that having the CPA gets you higher paying jobs and in the same sentence saying that getting the CPA isn’t necessary is madness. Figure out your goals…if you want to get the high paying accounting jobs in life, you NEED a CPA. Do not play yourself…experience is key but those certificates give you the cut above the rest. I didn’t have to do my Masters after getting the ACCA (British CPA), but it has opened me to the CFO roles that I now currently hold.
Pay is about $35/hr when bonus is factored in. Another selling point is continuity of working with you, year after year instead of randomly assigned preparers.
I've been a bookkeeper for 7 years running my own firm, taking classes and contracting cpas as needed for mentorship or my clients and I was able to grow and sell 1 firm and now growing another one. Once upon a time, early 30s, I considered becoming a cpa because I love what I do. But after a few years of running my own firm I realized the tuition cost wasn't necessary, as I could still bring my clients everything they needed and when there were gaps I had mentors to reach out to, often referring mutual clients back and forth as my cpa friends hate bookkeeping work. It has worked out well for us all and I'm thankful I have never put time into a degree or a designation, when I want to learn a new skill set, I just go educate myself on it. Almost 40 and have 14 clients at my new 5 month old firm...I'll just keep rinsing and repeating until I'm ready to retire. I have found my secret sauce is a mixture of virtual firm tech tools and building relationships with clients.
Marty Byrd would disagree.
As a senior accountant, the reality is the industry is messed up. First you have recruiters who block opportunities by having companies sign contracts then they pimp accountants by taking 30 percent or more of your income . For example a company will want to pay you 64 per hour then a company will post that job for 37 per hour ..this is slavery. 2nd people don't understand how to post transactions. They hire immigrants, offshore staff, and temps who don't understand the work, and then these CPA firms are the worst ..they hort all the work and won't even give a minority a chance ...then the Karen's in the accounting departments who are racist and sexist ...add all that you have a hot mess ..but soon robots will replace most of them and only the real accountants will thrive🎉because we are the ones fixing all the mess the others bad accountants make...we are the ones who can do the work with or without computers
Well said. 10 year accountant and I seen exactly what u said myself.
how long do you have to be an employee before you can start your own business as a CPA ?

Obviously CPA exam has been a pain in my ass that won't bother me any longer I have gotten my license already thanks to you Mr Dylan God bless you more cuz you made it possible for me
People keep talking about Dylan all over UA-cam,he must be a very awesome help
Yes you're correct but remember heaven helps those who help themselves, try studying if you can't study then get yourself a good help
I studied for months and couldn't pass, I guess passing is a blessing
CPA exam might seem so tough to pass but studying very hard is a very vital skill to win trust me.
Everyone has their own way, Dylan worked for me and studying didn't .
Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard,if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Dylan

I’m hoping the CPA shifts in the right direction to give it more value. There’s not many of us who have it. Advisory cannot be replaced by AI. Until then. Of course I think about the years of studying could have gone towards something better. But the feedback I hear in every occupation feels the same way lol
I have an MSA it got me a job as an assistant controller for a fortune 300 company, even though I was pretty underexperienced, I have no CPA license. Idk what a CPA looks like, I was getting paid $38 an hour, with OT, but was working +50 hour weeks, and I quit because of it. A lot of people felt I made the wrong decision, I'm just glad I'm not stressing like that guy in the clip tbh. I'm just looking for a nice government job that pays decent with benefits.
Not worth it i have a cpa snd 7 years experience Speng 6k on it worst decision ever
Failed, damnit.
I’m sorry about that, passed mine after contacting Dylan
Contact him ,he can help process your license.

How many years in public accounting would you recommend before going into you own solo practice?
@@paulmeek537 I had about 6 years of experience before I went out on my own and felt comfortable.
@@taxtelegraf I just finished my Masters with a focus on taxation. Would you still recommend getting the CPA if my main goal is to start my own practice?

New sub here! I’m studying for FAR now. Congratulations on completing you exams and getting your license!
I belong to the accounting club at my university and there's a new firm every week that comes in desperate for CPAs. The problem is most accounting students are getting their B.S. only to become staff accountants where the pay is similar and the work is a lot less taxing. Businesses are going to have to figure out if hiring accounting firms is worth it because the cost of their services is going to go up. Simple supply and demand.
You look too American
I always discourage young people from going into the accounting field
Why?
