im trying to watch roadkill and other motor shows from what was previously motortrend on demand. but ever since they moved to discovery + i havent been able to watch it with just a VPN. Discovery really hates money i guess since theyre making it extremely hard to use their services outside the US. i might try this. alot of steps but if it works it might be worth it. also this is the only video ive found that doesnt just say "use a VPN idiot". no one else seem to have bothered trying to get it to work with just a VPN. thanks for your efforts. :)

It's almost September 2023. I spent weeks of painstakingly watching video reviews of multiple devices that I thought might be the right fit for me. Ultimately, I decided to purchase this device. Not, the 2E. THIS DEVICE. I honestly can't wait for it to arrive. And, once it does... After I've experienced the device personally [ 2 years after launch] I'll return here with my thoughts. I think there's a serious misconception about what this device is & what it actually is capable of.

It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).

Well I don’t want a massive box that has to be recharged attached to my doorframe, I want a discrete button, and a camera. The wired model is perfect for that!

3:34 That's just one of the concerns with the standard nanoleaf mounting tape. I remember when I first put up my 5 kit of shapes hexagon with the included tape, they all fell after like a month of hanging on the wall (not necessarily fell, but rather slid a little). I replaced the included tape with some cheap looking tape I found in my house and they have hung no problem for about a year (that was when I decided to expand my setup and took them down myself).

Can I use my existing mechanical door chime with my wired Ring if I don't use the jumper?

The screen in this particular model is frozen, how to fix the issue??

Has this changed? I thought the US models comes with jumper cables to allow it to work with existing doorbell chimes?

Everyone has different needs, or wants. I found the basic ring doorbell to be sufficient without purchasing any of the accessories and I purchased it from Woot for less than $30.00. A routine can be written to sound a doorbell chime and have Alexa say most any thing you want. Two way talk is there. Motion sensing with notifications. Pretty much all of the basic stuff. For me, spending more money would have been a waste.

Why would you plug the Nanoleaf Plug, on the top plug wall electrical plug, removing the ability to use the secondary plug? Like ... is this the first time you ever plugged something in on a wall outlet?

The Minnesota winter killed the battery in my ring doorbell. An option without a battery is absolutely necessary. To me this is totally worth it.

Agreed.. the case, while protective - is something I remove when I start reading because I'm not an uber-buff caveman. Or maybe I am a caveman cause I haven't figured out HOW to origami the sleep-cover into something useful. And I just read, I don't tap on words, don't feel compelled to scribble or so on things so the stylus is similarly just fluff.
