Da miedo
after I add a vertex map to the displacer, nothing works
Had the same problem. At 1:50 I didn't check "use fields" in the Basic tab for anyone else that might have this problem.
A bit late to the party but love this tutorial. Very thorough process break down and well explained. Echoing previous sentiments of gladness that I've come across you. Please do some more xparticles stuff if you're still jamming with it :)
This was a lifesaver! Thanks a ton.
Amazing thank you, how would I mirror this in Redshift? Redshift doesn't have mix materials, or at least not that I am aware of, how would I assign the materials to the vertex map in Redshift?
Amazing technique! It caused me so much time to figure out how to make a transition between two different materials in Octane. Most of the tutorials are talking about RedShift..
i have a problem , mine is animating exact opposite like the tours is appering wrinkly and getting to its orignal shape , what to do now :/
Hmm, off the top of my head it seems like it's your vertex map is inverted? Try and get the yellow where the red is and vice versa. Sometimes it gets buggy maybe with vertex maps too, so perhaps start over with a fresh scene. Finally.. this is from a few years ago, new Cinema has been updated a bunch.. perhaps it's a setting that has changed. Hope that helps!
@@levelbevel yea there was a invert tab. I marked it and it got fine thank u
@@doityourselfpakistan6535 awesome! You're welcome.
omg this is just .... extremely great, thank you so much!
i'm trying to archieve this but with counting numbers....is there a way to keep my number while its counting with this effect?
the vertex map keeps crashing my project when i add it
hmmm. Not sure what could be up. You could try re-installing C4d, check the latest updates, or start a new project file and do one step at a time. You might have already done that.. I haven't tried this method in a while, but it's pretty reliable.
Very nice technique Sr ! Thank you for sharing!
Just curious, the xp trails look low poly is there a way to get the trails to look smooth? Thanks!
thank youuu
Thank you!!
legend. bird eye view 1 deformer, 1 vertex map = art talent not included :)))))
The effect is really good.
Hey, thanks for this tutorial!! But I have a question...everything worked well when I rendered each frame in Live Viewer. However, the vertex map didn't work when rendered in the Picture Viewer. Have you met this problem?
I have solution for you my friend. First of all you need to delete your "subdivision surface" object from sceene after that just use "Octane object tag" on your main object and you good to go.
worth it just for the cyc hot tip. so sick of bend deformer. :)
Love it! Thanks so much for sharing this. I join others who are much too lazy to find all this out for ourselves and just want to know what can be done.
Most welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
谢谢分享!!
its for beginner also
I wish I stumbled on your channel ealier, you have some great content here, please keep em coming!
Thanks! I appreciate the comment. Planning on making more tutorials over the holidays.
awesome tut
The reason there's an offset of the strings/particles, is because of the particle radius. By default it's 3, in Emission settings/Basic Particle Data, try something like "0.1", if you want it really close to the object.
Yup, got it! I appreciate the note. Didn't think to do it that way before this tutorial, but since I made this I've been using the offset approach all the time. Always learning!!
@@levelbevel Never stop learning! That's when things get boring.
From the emitter - Object tab - offset origin maybe by - 1 generates the particles right on the object/box instead of the extra box visible and collider.
Yup! Right on. Thank you for the feedback, I just didn't think to do that during this tutorial, but have been using that approach ever since.
Nice!
Thanks Lukasz! :D
Yes. Amazing looking forward on the next tutorial
This tutorial is awesome. You explained everything clearly. I subscribed. Can't wait for more videos :) I don't know if you could help me with this or maybe make a video about it if you find it interesting enough. I found this on Behance and I would like to know how to make something similar. I don't know how to begin. at first, I thought it was caustics but the material is only one the inside of the object so how does light travel through it if there is another material on the other side. www.behance.net/gallery/54768649/Greek-Graphic-Design-and-Illustration-Awards-2017
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it, please check out my recent xparticles one! New ones over the holidays! For your question: So not 100% sure, but here's my take. It is caustics, yes. The middle symmetry seems to be cause by a shape that is half of the exclamation and the shadow.caustic creates the rest of the shape. Another thing I noticed is that it is possible that the whole thing is like a coin, then it is tilted slightly into the surface, then rotated. Bit of an optical illusion, but it seems like it could be done with a single shape, tilt and mess with the light source/shadow. Hope that helps a little.
@@levelbevel thank you! ☺️
Nice! Thanks for doing this!
Got a lot of encouragement from the ig community🥰
Why did you have to stop? :) I can only hope you have enough time to make more episodes using different experiments on a particular effect. I’m very glad i’ve come across you on insta a while ago, the way you explain things it’s so relevant and consistent, also at the same time mesmerising. Cheers!
Thank you 😌 The effect is crazy! I could fiddle with each settings and combos haha! I'll definitely make more going down this rabbit hole.🙌
Brilliant man 🙏🏻
Thank you bruv 🙏🏻
This is great - do you still stream on Twitch? I'd love to watch
Thanks Carla! Yes, I plan on doing more, just been busy with work and learning. Will update on my IG when I start up again. Maybe mid-august?
Amazing! thanks for this tutorial Eena.
Wonderful! Late reply here, but I'm so glad you found it useful. More new tutes over the coming holidays!
Duuude, this is legit what I needed! Thank you!
Cheers! Sorry for the late reply, but so happy you found it helpful!
Hey thanks for making this! Beginner question... how do you get the red heatmap to show on your mesh? Mine just shows normal octane material imgur.com/a/qBjMg2A
You're welcome, thanks for the question. To see the vertex map, you have to click on the object and then the vertex map tag to see it. If the object is in a subd and you have that selected you won't see it. LMK if that works!
Awesome tutorial learn a lot of new stuff, look forward to seeing more tutorials from you 10/10, i am @theskullfoundry on Instagram. Big thank you
Hey Stephen thanks for the comment and kind words! For some reason I missed this comment back then, sorry for the late reply. Really want to make more tutorials, but work got busy. Hoping to do some more this month or in June. Take care and catch you on Insta.
