ResMed AirFit F30i Review | Full Face Mask Review
I'm having an issue when I switch sides during the night, the mask shifts and leaks air. :/
With the older version of the N30i, none of the nose cups fit my nose right, the closest was the medium, but it tended to pinch my nostrils closed. The medium in the Dreamwear doesn't pinch my nostrils nearly as much, but I much preferred the headgear of the N30i. Such a dilemma!
Great. Over almost over 20 years of cpap I've gone through many masks. For me the newly released F&P solo mask is the mask to rule them all. It has an inovative locking mechanism that no matter what movement sticks to tge nose like mud on a pig. Some complain of noise which I don't understand as mine is zero noise. The wind from the diffuser is certainly stronger but accetable. Taking it on an off is very simple. I agree that one mask beloved by some is terrible for others but you have done a well balanced non biased study. I mouth breath and have tried and hate full face. My solution is I tape my mouth shut and it works.
How can this sterilize the inside of the tubing effectively? The tubing has a lot of ribbing and some solid areas, and even the clear parts of the tube are not fully clear, which I have to presume limits full exposure to the UV light?
How is the f40 for a stomach / back sleeper?
I've got an idea, what about filtered rain water. I've been running my coffee machine for 20years and my CPAP for 5 years. Oh!!!!!!! there might be a problem, its free.😢😮
From your dark circles I can tell nothing worked Good luck
So, the bridge and end of my nose stick out pretty far forward and are narrow. What I’ve found is that if a nose mask presses on the bridge or especially nostrils too much, it compresses the channels higher in the nose and makes it hard to breathe through. I guess on a full mask or if I’m congested, that’s not so important. But I’m wondering how you would rank these in that respect. The n30 and especially the n20 are basically impossible for me to breathe in once the pressure kicks up a notch. I have a small F20 but it doesn’t fit. I was thinking of replacing the mask with the regular F20, but I’m also looking at these. Curious to hear anyone’s thoughts.
Very helpful; thank you. I am new to this, I have been using the machine for 2-3 weeks. I have two questions: 1- How often do you go through this cleaning process, and 2- How often do you replace all the parts with new ones (the mask, the tube, etc). Thank you !
You make the best CPAP videos! I really appreciate the time and knowledge you've put in your craft.
New to CPAP and been using my Airstart 10 for a week now. Using this method affects the data, right?
Another good tip, but noisy but I use the warm up function. On my f20 I just squeeze disconnect let it blow for 40 seconds or so and it dries the tube out fast
Thanks for the info! I have central and obstructive. Was given res med Bipap through military. Such chapped skin. I find skin around eyes feel swollen also.. still trying to figure out the best combinations…
I use a vinegar & water mixture, which kills most bactiera. I seldom clen the strap, have found it makes it strech and wear faster. In my opinion
I honestly thought the N20 would be ideal for me as a side sleeper. Doing a test run everything was fine. 1st Night was a NIGHTMARE. mask leaking to my eyes, and to top it off, once I tried to relax and go to sleep I was painfully aware that there was something on my nose, got a panic attack and had to get up and ride it out before going back to bed. Safe to say, I ain't a fan of the N20.
My CO2 sensor in the Airthings View Plus (1149-2564) never shows the green sector, what could it be? I also have a Wave Plus and they show good work and the CO2 falls into the green sector. To check, they are next to each other
It sells.
The difference is the full size CPAP forces air and the mini CPAP gives more air when you inhale. I actually have one and it works. The only real problem is the battery doesn't last long. Mine dies after about 3-4 hours. It's held on by a silicone strap the goes around your ears like the mask we had to wear during covid. I'm returning mine only because of the battery life.
Great video! Would you recommend f40 for back sleepers?
I would like to wear the Humidx with N30i with air mini..is this possible and how?
I was told tap water for rising wasn't good because of microorganisms so I always rinsed at the end with boiling water or is that just overkill
Thank you, very informative.
You write BPaP and then you write Bipap. Which is it?
I want to buy a solo please
One of the best videos thus far! I’m upset because I’ve had my tonsil and adenoids removed and now they’ve come back. I do notice when I cut dairy out of my diet it helps.
I have 2 new, never used Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset units. If you are needing or interested.
omg, you are the best. Thank you so much for that great information, and it was very clear.
I use an F30 medium. I find it goes above my eyebrows and leaves a mark on my forehead. Would switching to a small alleviate this problem. I find what I have now now. My Resmed is a Bipap. I was told I can only sleep on my side. Is this true ?
Do you have a video on sizing the headgear? I have the standard headgear and cannot get my mask to not leak with it adjusted as tight as it goes. I actually had an extra headgear that I altered but I'd like to know the right way to determine how to figure out what to do to ensure the headgear is sized correctly. I'm hoping that the small headgear will fit without alterations but I need to wait for insurance to cover a new headgear which isn't for another month or so. Thanks!
So can any of these machines support 2 airsense 11 machines at the same time? And hopefully get 8 hours sleep each with only a heated humidifier, not the tube. My husband and I both use cpaps every night or we can't sleep. TFS and any help with my question would be awesome!
Thank you for the very detail video. Could the pressure that creates the tube that goes the head result in a bold spot?
Just bought one for $10, came here to see if its any good as a power block for my cell phone
I have a wedge pillow can I put this pillow on top to keep maintain the sleep angle, or will this compensate for the angle. I use a nasal mask and when I get to adjust results for seal I believe it’s more from sleeping on my side and the mask pushing into the pillow. Thanks you do a SUPER JOB with these presentations
Very helpful. Thank you.
Triston., Which masks do you use ? Just curious
I have the N20 & N30I , I really like the cradle N30 I I discovered sleep I tolerated that one . Still don’t like using it . New to this . But when the doctor told me I stop breathing, I can have a stroke , heart problems,!shorten your life or die . It really scared me . Rude awakening!
Air touche N30i is perfect to me I'm a side sleeper. 😊👍🏻. very informative.
Thank you! This information helped me on my new CPAP journey!
Thanks for the video. Just figured this out the other day. My only concern is that the same Phillips Pillows mask now makes more noise with mini than with resmed home machine 11. Have been playing around with settings but not significantly helping sound. I am also use the humidifier blue sponge and wondering if that is impacting the sound?
Outstanding explanation. Thank you.
So... for the AirMini... you have to buy a different mask, you can't use your normal N30 or P10, the exhaust is moved to the HumidX, so your normal mask can't work with it. Just be aware.
My husband's "Alternative Snoring Device," is as loud as a vacuum cleaner at ramp. (My son is an audio engineer so these are real decibel levels) My question is if the machine makers can receive a number of metrics delivered via the internet, why isn't decibel level during real use included? His snoring device has created a sleep problem for me. I am having a sleep study in January. My son will bring an audio decibel leval set up to make sure I have a real sleep apnea vs. a machine that has off loaded a dangerous sleep pattern to me. Will let you know the real time results as I believe they will be eye opening.
My CPAP kept my wife awake, and her horrendous farts kept me awake. I sleep in a spare room now, and we've never been happier!
how you popped up at the start haha
I use the Mirage Quattro which apparently is discontinued. I was able to buy on American Amazon. I bought 2 but wish I had seen this review first.
I use this machine (AirSense 11) with the EPR mode set to 3, as I find the back pressure during exhalation troublesome. I ramp up from 5 to 6 and have a range from 6 to 10 that works for me. It is a small range, and the pressure changes do not wake me up. This machine prevents me from snoring (makes my partner very happy) and since purchasing the machine for the first time in decades I wake up feeling refreshed an well rested. I have noticed that about one third of the episodes are identified as clear airway apnea, presumably central nervous apnea. I cannot see how the machine makes the distinction between obstructive airway and clear airway apnea, as there is no clue in the other traces. The pressure does not ramp up if the machine thinks it is clear apnea. I think it should.
A good way to speed up the drying process is to take the hose outside and swing it around like a lasso. The centrifugal force will get the big droplets out of the hose. You can do the same for the mask tubing. It feels good to do a big "yee haw" while doing this.
I have a question if someone could help.. I suppose to use the CPAP, I actually hate it , I tried for the first time the 👃 musk only , and it still not easy as it seems in the video ..the man catch the tube by his hand ..so the head is easy to turn left and right..but once I try to put it and sleep it goes out from my head and I have to tied it strongly so it not slip ..then all this process gives me headache 😫 so the next day I felt miserable at work..my hair is soft..so the tube can not stay on my head....😢the question is, (I don't want to use CPAP when I have to. Are there any other solution) 🤔 😢?????
Does it have a lithium battery capability?
i didnt know you could submerget the connector hoses in water !! thought it would destroy it
