LC200 LX570 Fix Suspension Geometry After Lift Spring Spacers Shock Spacers Panhard Bar Relocation
In this video I describe what I will be doing and what parts I will be installing after the lift on the LX570 in order to get the suspension components back closer to the factory geometry. This includes the OEM front 10mm strut spacers, Rear spring spacers (aka coil packers), rear shock spacers which also work with AHC shocks, and rear panhard bar relocation (BOTCK kit by Dr KDSS).
I will have detailed follow up videos showing the installation of each of these items as well. So make sure to subscribe and click the notify "bell" icon so you are notified when they get uploaded.

In this video we install 34.3 inch 295/70 r18 tires on 18x9.5 12 Black Rhino wheels on our 2017 Lexus LX570 with AHC suspension. I was worried it would require a lot of work to get them to clear and fit properly. But it was actually much easier than I expected. All that was required in the end was some trimming of the plastic wheel well liner and the front mudflap mount. All in all it was actua...

$50K cars are faster. Maybe some software update will fix it?
This is plenty fast for us. I thought it was impressive personally.
I love chrome look
I like both too. I think now a few years later I like the chrome look better personally. The blacked out look is starting to get old in my opinion.
Awesome tip!!!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for the support!
half of you clowns dont know about car batterys these idots at these parts stores dont know crap about cars. if you buy ever start your a compete jack nut thos batterys are pure garage duracell has been the best in the nation belive what you what do your damn home work
Best when drilling holes, use reverse and let the bit make the hole. It can help to not chip the fiberglass and its also good to use a bit to bevel the holes to prevent spider cracking.
Great tip!
Random question. How many drain plugs does your engine have. I have the same. I was able to locate 3. Maybe I am missing something. I winterized, ran antifreeze thru the muff. And I'm thinking of pulling the drain plugs for peace of mind
We don't have that boat anymore. But if I remember correctly I think it was 3 or 4.
@NKPGarage found them. I have 5. 2 on left side and 3 right.
Very cool. Thanks for showing so many details on the rubbing, first video I found that did. I decided to keep my stock 2009 20x8.5" wheels and run a LT275-65-R20. Or a 34.1x10.8 tire. With a spidertrax 1.25" spacer. Everything i've read indicates that the tire will drop in with just AHC lift, front mud flap removal and pulling the front of the front wheel liner up a bit (reuse lower bolt, drill new hole in plastic). Honestly as big as I would want to go anyways with stock gears.
I agree about the space. I drive a EQE SUV and I think both the EQS and the EQE are like the Tardis, a lot larger inside then outside
Totally agree. How do you like the SUV? We were thinking of maybe getting the EQS SUV next year and trading this one in. But the trading values on these have plummeted
@@NKPGarage I need a car where I can store a lot of gear (wind surf, model planes...) and the SUV is just that. When warm and at low speed (50 tot 80 km/h) it only uses 16 kwh/100 km which is great. When driving 120 km/h that is another matter. But driving is great, almost no external sound. When I call my wife from the car she never believes I am driving.
Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
If we aren't supposed to connect it the Internet, how will it identify latest cars. Like the lc250
It has all of that preprogramed into the software.
The previous owner install mines. Every works but when I mess with the setting on the carplay. The ac or heat will go on. and navigation start tell me to turn weird…
i heard some other people ran into that problem too. Have you made sure you are on the latest software update for the unit?
@ I tryed but it had a 4 digit password I couldn’t get pass.. I try 1234 n 0000

Does the heads up display turn by turn work with the Apple map by chance?
No, unfortunately that doesn't work with the apple maps since its not integrated into the factory system. The HUD navigation still works if you use hte factory navigation, but not with the Carplay.
If you tab information button in the same way you will enter engineering mode. ;-)
Oh, interesting. I have to go try that!

You got it!
let's say I wanted to clean the port from the IACV to the throttle chamber... could I just remove the IACV and spray down that port while the throttle body is still fitted to the vehicle? See any issues with this method?
I would remove the throttle body to clean it all while it is off of the engine assembly. That way you don’t risk getting g cleaning fluid or any sediment into the intake manifold during cleaning.
Just to confirm what I saw - There was no sanding or polishing in between coats, yes?
Correct, no sanding or polishing between coats!
Great video and thanks so much for the thorough explanation. Is there a specific grease you would recommend for these plastic gears?
I like to use white lithium grease
Do it!
Yes!! 👍
Literally what’s the point in instructions if you’re not following them 🙈🙈
you have a good point ;)
Can you reset a bcm with this??
Yup. I was able to
Why put an emblem on an expensive suv in the first place? Brand Name recognition and marketing! Why put a crappy piece of plastic over the emblem that doenst shine and is not easy and cheap to replace? Who knows. 🤷♂️. My landcruiser has the same problem. Toyota should rethink this. Almost cant even see the emblem.
Ya. I agree. It’s the entire industry. Our Mercedes has the same type of plastic emblem. I think it’s mostly the manufacturers trying to hide the sensors for the cruise control and self driving systems behind emblems. It definitely doesn’t look as nice as a chrome emblem.
Great video. Is there any MPG gain afterwards?
Here’s the update I posted on the forum. I hope it’s helpful. A quick update on MPG, drivability, and overall view of the OTT ECU tune that Lonestar Yota Tuning applied in this first round of modification. * Power increase in the lower and mid RPM ranges are noticeable both when driving around town normally, and also when towing our boat. * I really like the more aggressive shift pattern. It feels like this is how it should have come from the factory. One of my biggest complaints on the 2016-2021 LC200 / LX570 has always been how sluggish it feels, much more sluggish than the 2008-2015. With this tune and new shifting it feels great. Always seems to be in the appropriate gear during city driving around town, and no longer "hunts" for a gear when towing or on the highway at cruising speeds. * MPG - This was interesting. The first several days I was convinced I was getting way worse gas mileage. It was about 1 - 1.5 MPG less than before over the first week full week of driving. Same usual driving I do which is about 60% city and 40% highway. I was ready for a tank of gas, so like usual I reset my MPG to let it start measuring again from scratch. At the end of week 2 I am about 0.7 MPG better than before the tune. I think the first week I was just pedal-happy and playing with the power band to get a feel for where the noticeable increases were. Once that new-tune-fun wore off and I got back to normal driving, my MPG is actually slightly better than before the tune. During towing our big ol' boat the MPG still seems to be about the same as before the tune. * Some people say idle is better, but I honestly notice no difference. The idle before and after the tune is identical on my LX570. * During the flash it seems that my setting to automatically apply the e-brake when in P has been disabled. I have to play with the settings to remember where that setting was to re-enable it. * ECO mode still works the same as before, decreasing throttle response and forcing you to drive more economically. * Normal mode now acts closer to what Sport+ mode used to be. But not quite. Just feels like it should have come from the factory this way. * Sport+ mode seems to be similar aggressive shifting as before. I never really used Sport+ mode much, other than to just play with a couple of times. So I'm not sure if the tune actually effects Sport+ shifting or not. To me it seems the same as before. Would I recommend the tune now that I've had it for a couple of weeks? Ya, i think so. I think it's worth the $450 or so that Lonestar Yota Tuning charges for the OTT tune.
@NKPGarage Thank you for posting what you wrote on the forum. Are you on IH8MUD?
@global_east yup, I post about this stuff on Ih8mud as well. Same name as here NKP Garage
First thank you for the video, second i have a problem with my car i change the 2 rear control sensor and now the car going up but did not getting down and I won’t to adjusting the control sensor, but I don’t know how to get the measured value and standard value. Any help please?
When you replaced the two rear sensors did you out the sensor position close to where it was before with the old sensors?
@ yes i put it where it was but by example if the car it was on high position and I want to put it in normal position or low it does not working. It’s still on high position.
@ and on the scanner, I don’t have any trouble code but I can get it down with active test, not with the switch with the switch, it going up but did not going down

👍
Perfect I’m glad you went that route make sure the seat is the same sealing surface to avoid leaks
Yup. Going to lap each valve and then start working on cam clearances. Hopefully I don’t have to grind any of the valve stems and can just adjust with the shims.
Nice! You will have a new motor!
Pretty much! Just gotta get it back in the truck. 😅
Dude, you can put them in a drill, spin them, and run them on a 8" wire wheel on a brunch grinder. Works good
Yup. Done that before and they turn out usable. I just felt like that would be a shame to put back in this head 😁 with everything being so new-ish
I have a 2016 lexus rc350 f sport it stopped blowing air completely from my front vents and the code 4243 came on i tried this but the codes didn't dissappear after the 0 they kept coming back
code 42 is for the air inlet servo motor, 43 is for the air outlet servo motor. Have you tried checking the air damper right over the filter to make sure it is still functioning and not broken. It is a common broken piece on pretty much every toyota and lexus that sometimes will happen when technicians or people that don't know the process try to replace the cabin air filter. I have a video on that here, take a look: ua-cam.com/video/sf2TPYi5NO8/v-deo.html
@NKPGarage holy crap i just changed the cabin air filter and it stopped working right after that
@el_patron7455 I bet that might be it. Sometimes it is fixable. Sometimes there are broken pieces that need to be fixed. Take a look at how I did mine in that video and then take a look at yours to see how it is
@@NKPGarage do I run s chance of overheating my car by not letting airflow through if I don't fix it right away
@el_patron7455 no, it wont cause any further problems if you let it be for a while.
1497 Can't find that anywhere Ls460
That code is for either a wiring harness/connector problem, or for a faulty AC Amplifier. 9 times out of 10, if you have not messed with any wiring and it all of a sudden stopped working one day, it is probably in need of a replacement AC Amplifier.

Yes. You can definitely display the data on multiple screens
@NKPGarage thx
Will it test the abs sensors, and test and run the hvac actuators?
I think it depends on the vehicle. On some vehicles the ABS system has its own separate computer, and on some it is accessible through the Tech2
I have a few older gm vehicles. 2001 & 2002 Tahoe's, and a 2004 S10 Blazer ZR2.
Wish i got this done before putting my wheels could of gone bigger
What size did you go with?
275/65r18 it is scrubbing a little in full lock
Is that working with gs 2008 key ? Becouse i bought one but i dont no how to per with my vehicle
Yes. You should be able to program a credit card type key for the 2008 GS as well. You have to make sure to get the correct one that matches the signal code on your normal remote key fob since there are different ones, even though they all look the same
Excellent video, thanks. Need to do this on my 2018 X3. Also ended up buying a battery with a different Ah rating than the original BMW battery.
Thanks for the support! It’s so easy to do yourself. Even with a battery that’s slightly different in size.
👍👍 2013 Lexus GS350 Base. Disconnected battery 15 minutes. Issue resolved. 🥵
Nice!
Please confirm if you disconnected the battery while the car was still on
Have you tried using the reset procedure in this video first?
Good stuff! I've done the sensor lift and have some of the undesired affects you mentioned. Glad to know there is a way to correct it and go even higher. Looking forward to the install video.
A good alignment can fix a lot of the effects after a lift. But at some point you run out of room to adjust with the stock components. I have lost of the work done with a lot of video clips. Going to try and get at least one of them uploaded this weekend.
Here’s the file if you want to print your own on your 3d printer. makerworld.com/models/607456
Great videos. Can’t wait to see the install
Thanks for watching! I'm working on the install video now.
I busted my plastic gear pressing it on. On the second try I used a torch to heat up the spline. Then the spline just oozes into the gear. Drop in water when it sits correctly and you’re done without a chance of busting the gear.
I'll keep that in mind for the next time I have to replace a power seat gear! Great tip!
I would just do new.
I was trying to order them from a US source, but it looks like there are only a few exhaust valves total in any Toyota parts depot around the US. Today I pulled the trigger and ordered 12 new exhaust valves and 12 new intake valves from Partsouq, so they will be coming from overseas. Gotta wait on them, but now I'll have all new valves and all new springs as well in the head. Worth the little delay.
@NKPGarage good. I think is a better choice. I have ordered oe parts from Japan and they get to las vegas in record time. 2 days is the the fastest I have gotten straight from Japan.
I just checked toyotapartsdeal and they have them there.
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. I have a found something strange. The AHC sensors were not in the same position - 2 were close to the lower end of the slide. I corrected them. Then a funny thing is that I have a crooked steering wheel. It is not centered. Any advice? Thanks.
That is a common issue. It is important to make sure everything is aligned correctly, after you make any adjustments to the height. Take it in for an alignment and they should be able to correct the steering wheel angle and also verify your toe and caster are set correctly.
Where in Austin do you get an alignment?
I use the Lambs Automotive up in round rock near where I am. But if I have time the best alignment shop in central Texas is Jerry’s Wheel Alignment in Pflugerville.
Would you recommend doing your globes first before you do this? I can't tell if my globes need it, but I've been thinking about doing it since the maintenance history on AHC fluid changes was absent from the records. But I also wonder if it's better to do after doing this whole setup like you have done. Also, if you did a video of this work getting done, even if it was a super long video, i'd be totally down to watch it.
You can. But it’s not necessary. If your AHC fluid has not been flushed I would recommend doing that. My general rule of thumb on the LX AHC is to flush fluid at 65k miles, 100k miles, 125k miles, and then replace the globes and flush at 150k miles. I did a detailed video of the glove replacement and flushing on my previous LX. Here it is incase you want to see the whole process. ua-cam.com/video/kyhXTL4629M/v-deo.html
@@NKPGarage thanks. I flushed them at 140k when I first got the LX. Now at 160. So I’ll keep to the schedule and do the globes eventually. But rather do this now haha!
@TylerPoppe if the ride feels good you’re probably fine to keep the current globes. The typical sign that the globes have failed is when your ride gets really “bouncy” over bumps, or when you aren’t able to notice a difference anymore between the different comfort/normal/sport settings.
@@NKPGarage hmm copy that. I feel like I could never tell too much of a difference between the modes on my 2013, just barely. Maybe I’ll just do it for peace of mind and a new baseline. Thank you! I need to find a LX in my area to ride in to see if it feels different from mine ha.
A tip to clean them throw it in the drill and use scotch brite then lap the valves with lapping compound to fix the seal (you can also use a drill for that just make sure you remember where each valve came from)
Great feedback! I can lap new valves, done it plenty of times on past builds. I started calling around this morning and it looks like nationwide there are only 6x OEM 1FZFE exhaust valves in total available. Any more than that would be special order and wait for an undefined amount of time. Looks like my only other option is aftermarket valves at this time. I wonder how good or bad the aftermarket stock size valves are for the 1FZFE. Would hate to put subpar parts into the head.
@@NKPGarage I would stick to OEM the aftermarket have poor sealing you can get away with reusing the old ones just with the builds we do at the shop we try to stick to replacing valves with new and getting them ceramic coated to prevent buildup
@_JTPR_ that’s good to know. I think I’m going to try some more aggressive cleaning first to see what I can do with them. Worst case I may just need to place an order for new OEM valves, pray, and wait.
Today I pulled the trigger and ordered 12 new exhaust valves and 12 new intake valves from Partsouq, so they will be coming from overseas. Gotta wait on them, but now I'll have all new valves and all new springs as well in the head. Worth the little delay.
