It's exploitative: contrived violence under the assumption more brutality creates a stronger message.

You know. It makes sense. Evil things do happen no denial there. But to do something beautiful isn't related. You can do beautiful and look at the beauty. It's not prohibited to wait until evil passes. You are allowed to do that the moment you want. It all makes so much sense if you put it that way.

A wonderful beautiful story! I thought for sure that when the "dignataries" showed up that the land was about to become desolate again.
