Please note that the visual dropout in this section of the programme (though audio remains) is an inherent fault on my original recording

The original buildings were far superior than that awful red or whatever colour replaced
Stan is in for it
2 great actresses in Doris Speed and the legendary Mollie Sugden
Absolutely wonderful brilliant superb and every actors actresses magnificent example of there art,
Back when Corrie as worth watching. Utter shite now.
Utter Shite , Couldn't Agree More ! Me Sister had it on the Other Day ,and I Didn't recognise anyone,! 😮😮
@@FrankyForster-du8rk I haven’t watched it for over 20years. I did watch the old eps on itv2 ages ago. Throats when it was worth watching. All the old characters Loved it back then.
Shame. The script writers are not capable anymore of writing material such as this. Too afraid of offending this one and that one....so basically crap scripts are the result......All soaps are the same..........
Christie murdered 7 woman and a baby, Geraldine Evans.
Annie Walker was a powerhouse. Sharp as a drawing pin 📌 Nobody persist with bad behaviour in the Rovers after she declared "That is quite enough!" (apart from maybe Elsie Tanner, but some people can't be helped!)
Never heard any mention of Haigh cutting up the bodies.
Comedy genius.
Lol 3:25 does trumpet players are like damn finally we can play!
This clip is damn funny. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Annie and Hilda were such great characters.
When coronation street was coronation street
He knew the old hangman had got him when the copper turned round
It looked better before just needed a bit TLC
The site of the house WAS built on.
This is how you do a scene. Real troopers. They don’t make ‘em like Doris Speed and Mollie Sugden anymore.
This is proper coronation street with realistic well written brilliantly acted characters with the right balance of comedy and tragedy. Today's show is full of dull and boring characters with a mixture of depressing and farfetched toxic storylines that have me reaching for the tv remote.
Thanks so much for this video 😊
Love seeing Mollie Sugden.
Nellie Harvey
He looks and sounds like an English Jimmy Durante.
Isn't Nellie doing herself an injustice commenting on her husband's poor taste in woman he's married to her lol
He killed his first three victims in a basement at Gloucester Road in London. It's now part of a branch of McDonald's!
I went looking for the site the other day as I was in Crawley. There was a largeish house built where I guess the workshop was. They could've put up a plaque.
This is got to be one of the best arguments from coronation street to date, Doris Speed with her sharp tongue and a touch of humor. She single handedly managed to criticize and put her in her place with just a few words thanks to her large vocabulary and wit, very fluid in her nature.
What patience he has...! They are very slow to pick up the tempo he wants. At the sixth attempt they are still too slow and too heavy. They obviously think they know best... Still, his patience always pays off in the end. Wonderful musician.
Annie was just enjoying this to absolute pieces, wasn't she, betraying every unkind thought she'd ever had about Stan but couching it strictly in reference to his alleged work for the day, but I'm sure what really, truly, tickled Annie's soul, though she'd never admit it, of course, was the chance to get her digs in against Hilda, too... refined, yet just as catty as the rest of them. Take a lesson, people: this is acting, this is writing, this is sheer TALENT on both sides of the camera, and this has mostly disappeared today. This is sheer brilliance.
Don't you think it's haunted
J g haigh was a murderer
Bottle street may be haunted
Giant Haystacks meets Big Daddy..

Love this!
The Golden age of Corrie. I can not watch 21st century corrie - sadly it is now a pale imitation of what was once a powerhouse in British TV drama. Doris Speed and Jean Alexander lived and breathed their characters and delivered the dialogue expertly.
It looks uglier now horrible characterless buildings

Two legends. Doris Speed was Thatcher with a sense of humour.
Yes, 😁. To think, Doris Speed was a life long socialist and probably despised everything Thatcher stood for in real life. Great actress.
@@Bertie_and_Dot Well Doris used to speak with a Lancashire accent at the beginning of the Street, then she got progressively posher. She was a dyed in the wool Socialist in real life.
A masterclass.
Higher up in godliness. Cleaner 💓
Corrie had some great characters. Ena Sharples, Elsie Tanner, Annie Walker, Martha Longhurst, Minnie Caldwell, Stan & Hilda Ogden, Bet Lynch, Alec Gilroy etc. When they had decent storylines and less of the sensationalist stuff they have now. Not that I watch it anymore. I don't care for it. Same with Emmerdale, modernised & spoiled.
Poor old Stan, in trouble again
I think this was one of Nellie's last appearances though she was mentioned in later years
The classic '10 Rillington Place' film starring Richard Attenborough (Christie), Judy Geeson (Beryl Evans), John Hurt (Timothy Evans) and Pat Heywood (Ethel Christie) has recieved a full 4k restoration and been transferred to blu-ray. Has anyone else read Mr.King's account of Rillington Place? Mr. King moved into Christie's flat in 1958, Mr.King would often have a disturbed night's sleep, woken up in the night to feel the oppressive, dark energy of a woman, Mr.King bought insence to try and cleanse 10 Rillington Place, it is not said if he was successful. 'Rillington Place' received a face lift in the late 50's or early 60's when the entire row of the fronts of the houses were all nicely repainted, all except no.10 which wasn't repainted. In the classic film most shots were done in another house in 'Rillington', also studios were used, one scene however shows Attenborough (Christie) standing in the actual bay window of no.10, imagine standing in the exact bay window the real Christie stood, the scene is where Christie is watching from the window, nets pulled back at the police round the manhole cover. You also see Attenborough leave No.10, (the scene where Christie leaves 'Rillington Place' for the last time.
Absolute gold! I couldn't stop laughing.
2 professionals at there very best today’s coronation street isn’t worth watching actors and actresses who can’t act full of makeup to try and make them look good but makeup doesn’t make beauty being natural is beauty 1 Hilda Ogden is better than this recent bunch all put together
