Why don't you let me use any USB microphone? It looks like the mic jack and streamer (recording tab in windows) is dead because your software is so flawed that it won't detect a USB microphone for me. It's now GoXLR despite the fact that it goes to communicate via mini jack with the microphone, because USB signal can't see it, their software is more universal than yours. Evidently you want to force it to buy your microphones or mixers.

After installation of Unify all output and input stopped working. Clicking on the Channel Assignment does nothing. Had to uninstall everything from Rode to get the native speakers to work. This is probably the worst experience for a microphone. Do your developers even test your software before release?

I played a game while using discord chat. My friend could hear my game even though i had headphone (pluged in the pc´s mini jack output). Your software is over complicated. I got the XCM 50. I just want it to go on and off, not to tamper with everything else, it´s a microphone in the end of the day.

Can you tell us if Unify will be compatible with the Duo in the future?

It doesn't work. Everything routed trough UNIFY sounds like a chipmunk.

Hello, i have an issue with the Streamer X on Mac: i use Teams set on Unify Virtual Chat (Speaker and Mic). I cannot send sounds from the Pad (eg : Applause) into teams conversation (Voice effects works). I've tried bunch of settings vithout results.. Can you please help ?

im confused i just bought the xdm 100 and the usb wire goes into the bottom of the mic so it can’t even stand up

Is Unify work with Rode NT-USB?

I recently purchased the Rode streamerX. And Ive been having many issues with audio outputs with Unify when using it. Is there any way I can use the streamerX without this Program? And use it like a normal audio interface like the Focusrite Scarlett Solo?

can you use your mixer physical faders like say game audio like the goxlr?

A quick question. Do the virtual channels output only through the headphone output of the mic itself?

Solve in next update please. We can't hear effects (pitch, robot, echo) without headphones to adjust it. It is bad for people whom don't use headphones during call and stream.

Does it happen to anyone else that every time they turn on the pc the app says that there is an update when there is not? This ends up resetting my settings whether I ignore the message or not, it's driving me crazy ._. (I have already tried reinstalling, repairing, etc, I have it in 2 pc and only in one I have this problem).

Installed the Mac Beta version, rebooted etc. Looks good/simple however all my Audio is coming through the "Chat" channel on the Mixer. The Music Channel doesn't work and I can't find a way of adding Apple Music, so perhaps this is coming later, as I am pretty sure if I had Spotify installed that Channel would work with it. The Browser channel also doesn't pick up Safari Audio, again this is funnelled through the Chat channel (watching UA-cam for example through Safari). If I remove the Chat Channel, no sound at all. I have it set to Monitor on the left by the RODE X symbol, Monitor on the right and Universal Audio Thunderbolt, I have also tried the Mac internal speakers. Any help would be appreciated.

My Rode Unify software doesn't recognize the presence of my Rode microphone. It works with Windows recorder, but Rode software can't seem to detect Rode hardware!

i find it rather odd that the classification for these mic types is sort of reverse of the implication of the definitions. condense: make (something) denser or *more concentrated* - applying this sound makes me think it keeps a lower audio detection range. dynamic: (of a process or system) characterized by *constant change*, activity, or progress - applying this to sound makes me think it would be adjusted for wider detection so as to keep the speaker heard if they move away. yet its the opposite😵

I cannot get any channel but my NT-USB Mini channel to actually be heard via my Headphone Output (i.e. the headphone jack on my NT-USB Mini). I've tried all the Headphone Output Mixes, and I've confirmed they all have multiple channels outputting sound, but all I can hear in my headphones is my mic's channel. The Monitor Output works perfectly when I plug the same headphones into my PC's headphone jack and choose that as the Monitor Output Device. It plays all channels broadcasting sounds as expected. The only problem with that workaround is there's now a split second delay in my NT-USB Mini channel which defeats the purpose of using the Monitor Output for anything other than the Monitor Output Mix. Please help! Why can I not hear anything other than my mic's channel on my Headphone Output from UNIFY?

Hey there i got a problem with the program. i can chance the volume with the gain inside the software from my XDM-100 BUT i don´t see any microphone detection i saw it working once but after a restart it´s gone with other words i don´t see this green bar moving while speaking

I think what Røde X is doing is very cool, HOWEVER... what I would really need before just purchasing your mics, is an audio interface to control UNIFY, is this something RØDE X has in the making? :)

My room has not many sounds, but it is not a studio, so I prefer dynamic (XDM-100). I am a small creator, but I hope buy this microphone someday.

I really like the software. The features now in the Rodecaster Pro 2 would be a real game changer. Can the software also be used with other microphones? A friend tested it with the Elgato Wave 3 and the software didn't recognize the microphone!

Mic is good. Software is annoying and shit so far. I spent a lot of time trying to set unify, but still something doesnt work.

My general rule when it comes it microphone placement is that I put 4 fingers between my microphone and my mouth. That way it isn't too close but it isn't too far away. Right now I have a dynamic microphone which is the Podmic but soon I am getting the XDM-50 so I am looking forward to seeing how both make my voice sound.

Speaking as a layman I reckon the choice depends on the background noise of your environment. I agree with condensers sounding brighter. I've noticed this when mucking around with my Behringer B2-Pro, for example; Probably not a good idea in a non sound-treated room like mine. I tend to prefer Dynamics for this reason (and the proximity effect helps me sound like I've got a pair😂). Great video👍
