Night-fishing for MENPACHI in HAWAII | Epic sushi cake | Catch, Cook, Create
Night-fishing mission targeting some tasty Menpachi and Aweoweo from the cliffs. We show the setup for night fishing as well as a couple different techniques. Brandon creates a gyotaku impression of the largest Menpachi, weighing over 1 lb! The Menpachi and Aweoweo are transformed into a delicious Sushi Cake featuring sashimi, definitely not your typical preparation!

We travel to Alaska for a long overdue trip targeting Sockeye and Coho Salmon! We also rent a boat and go after Halibut, Cod and Bass. Brandon creates some gyotaku fish-printing art to commemorate the memories of this beautiful trip. Back home in Hawaii, we made a batch of delicious Hawaiian style poke with the Sockeye Salmon. Love menpachi sashimi. I cut out the pin bones down the middle like cutting out the stomach bones. Mo easy and faster that way. Menpach sash is the BEST!!!!
Yes we did that for some and it works great as long as you don’t mind sacrificing that piece of fish. Agreed, menpachi sashimi can’t be beat 🔥

What size AH hook yall use? And where the curly tails from?
My preference is size 6 AH hook, curly tails you can get at any fishing store or probably online too. I find the full glow ones work the best for menpachi. Hope this helps! 🤙🏻
