Why Your Favorite Team is Going BROKE, a.k.a how Bally Sports is bankrupting MLB:
The RSN bubble is popping. Bally Sports' bankruptcy is already completely changing the sports industry, and if MLB teams aren't prepared for the major hit to their revenue, it could bring them down as well. In this video, we take a lot at the rise and fall of Bally Sports (and the RSN system as a whole) and try to figure out where we go from here.

MLB's Future is at a Crossroads - Where Do We Go From Here? | The Baseball Vlog
Those cops became millionaires. No one is throwing away cards like that.
Ty Cobb, I can say no more lol
What happened to the Hornas Wagner card. For years, that cigarette card was the most expensive
Jeter has something in common with Ryne Sandberg. In that ironically the biggest weakness in their fielding was what fooled people into thinking they were much better fielders than they actually were. That being that they had terrible range. Jeter made a living out of making what would have been routine plays by almost any other fielder look like incredible plays because he was barely able to get to the ball. That severely reduced the amount of errors he got charged with, even though he still committed a ton of errors. And it also simply eliminates a massive amount of fielding chances because he simply could not get to balls an ordinary fielder could.
my stupid grandma threw away my dads cards, hard telling how many were mantles
What's hilarious is that there plenty of HOF'ers who openly admitted to cheating in other ways like scuffing the ball, amphetamines, etc. But these older/historical guys get a pass for some reason. The reality is the writers simply dislike guys like Bonds and Clemens because of their personalities, so they use the PEDs as justification to keep them out.
Faye Vincent deserved a longer tenure.
So did jeter ever come out and say im the best defender ever? I don't recall that ever happening so im not sure why you say he fooled people, maybe your videos have poor views across the board so you had to use jeter to actually get some views for a change, seems like you fooled everyone if you ask me
He was only a dodger for a one season but he will always be Tio Albert 💙
Wish I got a chance to see Mickey play
I couldn't agree more with every word you said! I've been saying for years that the baseball Hall of Fame is a holier-than-thou, hypocritical joke for much of the reasons you stated. Especially given that Big Papi had the same level of steroid suspicion as Sosa and Clemens, and yet he got in on the first ballot, and guys like Sosa, Bonds and Clemens have virtually been banished to baseball Hell. However the thing that blew me the most is what they did to Curt Schilling. Essentially keeping him out of the Hall of Fame for literally political reasons. I know it's not PED's related, but I think what they did to Schilling is the most egregious IMO. So since then, I don't really view the baseball HoF as a credible and unbiased organization.
In Baseball, Three strikes and you're out! Selig should be OUT of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Actually, as a follow-up: Let's remove ALL commissioners from the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Let it be for the players, managers/coaches, and people who made a lifetime contribution. And, of course, the lovable umps!
The beginning of the end for my interest in modern baseball was the 1994 strike while the end of the end (the final nail) was the disgraceful, anti-American kneeling before playing of the National Anthem that first COVID year. Virtually no club handled it properly so Baseball went from America's game to ...
That Dick Allen did not meet the 5% minimum vote threshold to move beyond his initial year of consideration UNDERSCORES how incompetent and/or biased that great voting body, the Baseball Writers Association of America (BBWAA), truly is. BBWAA voters can pick the obvious HOF'ers (Cobb, Ruth, Griffey, Rivera) but add a smidge of controversy and their inadequacies take priority. Face it: By the 1960s all first tier HOF'ers having cleared the bar, why would 20 voters leave Ted Williams completely off their ballots? Numerous other examples of BBWAA bias/ignorance could be cited. Bias/ignorance have been with BBWAA HOF voting since the beginning (1936): How else does one explain how two pitchers with 373 wins each could finish with 90.7% (Christy Mathewson) and 24.3% (Grover Cleveland Alexander) the same year?
The day the Dallas Stars left Bally I was so happy
I totally agree with you. Media is always the enemy of the people. I always thought it was so hypocritical that Ortiz and Selig was elected. Media reminds us that Ortiz is just such a nice guy how could we not elect him. But guys like Curt Schilling will never have a chance because he was not on the right side of the media.
Can I have one
Yeah they end up losing
Instead of giving the cards away to kids they decide to dump them in the ocean. They could’ve handed packs out at games. Such a waste.
Was that a little bit of sunshine shining right where he hit the ball?
My mom hung out with Denny. She was Italian and connected. Interesting.
10-15 HR every year.. "But for whatever reason" he had a power surge in 1998 😅😅 and hit 38 😅 ummm she better thank PEDs for Million! Lol I would
I have a Mantle rc... graded 8
He’s my coach lol
Threw them in the Ocean cuz it was illegal to burn them in the City.😂😂😂
Astroworld was right across the street. We would drive from Austin to Houston for the weekend to see a game and then the next day go to Astroworld.
Defensive general
I think he got a sore arm in 1970 and that finished off his pitching career.
Movies like Brewster McCloud and the Bad News Bears part 2 did alot to help put the stadium in the minds of everyday people.
The stadium hasnt been that loud minus the team winning the WS.
He played with his ORGIN hahahaha
Not really his rookie year
From the videos I’ve seen The holy grail Mantle is in some old dudes house with a price value of $40 mill, now that’s just below some other tool who’ in comments claims his Wagner PSA 8 is $50 mill. The problem with these prices are different grading companies and this shit system, if you claim to have the best, the only way to prove it is for all the grading companies to agree and I’ve never seen a graded card with several company names on it. This whole grading system is bullshit.
My dad has one, but it’s in bad shape. Used it for his bicycle spokes as a kid
Damn you Topps
The massive amounts of nose candy and meth and hard liquor did a big time number on his life too
Ocean? I thought it was the Hudson river?
I've got one that's in poor condition, but I had mantle autograph it.
If you look at some of these players stats. You can figure the years they started. Bonds, ARod , McGwire Clemens had early numbers that if they stayed that way would still warrant HOF. Guys like Sosa and Giambi , no way.
Watching this 4 years after it was posted. Nothing has changed, smh.
IT IS NOT HIS ROOKIE CARD! Whenever I hear that shout this card I immediately lose all interest. 1951 Bowman is his rookie card…damn…
Imagine being the dumptruck driver listening to this so many years later ;P
Dude is definitely dead by now
Its rare BECAUSE they threw it away. Its simple cause and effect.
That check only said 50k dollars tho lol. Maybe it was in instalments
Thank Goodness that the Boston Red Sox won the 1912 World Series. God Bless Smokey Joe Wood in Heaven.
Bonds and Clemens were first ballet Hall of Famers before steroids. Bonds was going to hit 500 home runs without roids, plus people forget he stole over 500 bases, something we will probably never see again. Someone in the 500/500 club. Roger Clemens was going to win 300 games by the end of his career and was dominant before roids.
Environmental terrorist?
Mine went in my bike spokes back then😢
In a way the dodgers saved albert's career.
