All the guys who do belt squats are barbell squats, all look OUT OF PROPORTION AND SYMMETRY to their calves, and upper body.

I'm in my 40's and my sweet spot is weight training every 3 days.
Any advice how to gain muscle for someone who enjoys going to the gym as often as possible and train for 60+ minutes a session? I feel it is hopeless for me to gain anything but friends at the gym.

I have been doing full body only one set to failure. I alternate between 2 and 3 workouts per week. It seems like i can go full body 3 days for a couple weeks then i need to skip a workout. Big lifts definitely drain my energy and it requires a extra rest day

Cycles it in and out?
It’s mentally tough, it does your mind and body a nice break to do a little volume, I taper down to full 1 set over several weeks and stay there until I feel burnt out, then taper back up…

2 nights ago I was researching about consolidated/ abbreviated training including Peary Reader short workouts so I can implement them in a full body 5 x week base

Good interview. I’ve been training 42 years and most of them 2x per week. 1 upper - lower. HIT 1-3 sets to failure. It works. Keep up the good videos.

Heavy curls for arms for long-term progression
It is interesting how people think that they need to train 5-7 days per week. I train 2x per week. 1 upper and 1 lower. I actually still make small gains at 55. Been training this way for 25 years. I did go more when I was younger but didn’t realize then that I didn’t have to. I do walk or do my bike on other days just to keep active for heart health.
