    This guy is absolutely the right explaination of locking tuners. They are for quick string changes on stage and have nothing to do with tuning stability. Like he said, regular old tuners if wrapped, will keep you just as stable as a locking tuner. Just takes longer to change out a broken string or complete string change. Especially on stage.

    Hope this video was helpful in choosing to try the Kingtone Switch. We purposely chose not to use any reverb or effects on the basic sounds. When I was searching for videos on the switch when I was interested in buying one. They all had incredible players and was running through DAW to enhance the sound along with reverb delay and all kinds of effects. So I was still wondering what the switch sounded like alone. So we wanted to produce a video with the straight sounds. A more realistic sound demo. Thanks for watching. ✌️

    • @GuitarsModsMusic
      @GuitarsModsMusic 2 місяці тому

      Yes a paper towel or a shop rag next to the fret. A cotton swap if you need to get close to the fret. It will dry clear so you can’t really see it. But if you accidentally get some on the fretboard between the frets. You can use fingernail polish remover or rubbing alcohol. Just a little on a rag. Don’t use it right up against the fret or the glue won’t hold the fret down it will remove the glue. Let me know how it goes and thanks for the question.

      Do you think it needs a roller bridge or not?

    • @GuitarsModsMusic
      @GuitarsModsMusic Місяць тому

      @ yes installed a roller bridge and it definitely helped. The break angle of the strings on the Gibson bridges are so aggressive in the first place. Then adding a tremolo is really pushing it. The roller bridge is a keeper it smoothed everything right out. I ended up taking the Duesenberg back off. It really worked very well but it got in the way of me using my volume knob. I use my volume knob a lot for tones. I had to make a choice of the tremolo or the volume knob. With that being said I’m keeping the roller bridge on it. I noticed an improvement of tuning stability even if I don’t use the tremolo and I feel like it is louder when I’m playing unplugged. I don’t know if that has to do with the brass rollers or what. Thanks for the question ✌️
