We hope you find this helpful. Fender has always done a pretty good job on the pre shaped and cut brass nuts. We have installed a lot of them. Thanks for watching have a great day and week. 👍✌️
Oh yes graphite , graphite & brass mixed, ivory, metal, plastic, ebony, lately I’ve been seeing rubber. Like all business they try to find a cheaper way to make things then charge more. Thanks for the question and for watching. Have a great day and week. 👍✌️
I have a 95 Korean Squier Strat My nut slot is thin, nut width of 3.4 fits tight. . I’d like to put a brass nut on. So I can file down a brass nut with sand paper? If needed. And the slot is deep the cheap nut I took out was 5. MM height! I just need to know if I can sand it down like a bone nut to fit. I saw one on Amazon with that was close to these dimensions
@@buck7477 use a smooth metal file. Take a little off then check it. If you need a little more then go again. But the answer is yes you can file it down. But sandpaper will take a lot longer than a small metal file. You can buff it up with sandpaper after the file and give it a good shine. Let us know how it works out. And don’t hesitate to ask if you need any advice. You got this ✌️
