Make Refractory Cement Skulls DIY Haunt Halloween
Переглядів 10 тис.3 роки тому
Do you want to make those really cool looking fire pit skulls? I'll show you how to make them safely on your own. Great for outdoor halloween parties and really for me, all year round with my haunter friends. Be sure to only use "Refractory Cement" as you cannot and should not use any Portland cement for fire pit skulls, it's dangerous to use. Again, only purchase or order Refractory Cement as ...
Haunted Mansion Gargoyle DIY Build
Переглядів 4,5 тис.4 роки тому
Semi intense gargoyle ~ grotesque build, life sized as seen in the Haunted Mansion stretching portrait room. You'll need to be able to construct a wooden base using power tools (be careful) use of paper mache, use a heat gun (again, be careful), sanding, soldering, painting, and a wee bit of artistic talent. This was fun to make but it can't really be done in a day, so enjoy the journey. Enjoy ...

Our "Harry Potter" Themed Halloween Party 2013

I created this video with the UA-cam Slideshow Creator (ua-cam.com/users/upload) This is our yearly themed Halloween Party, a "Harry Potter" style Party. This was a lot of fun, and even though it's not considered a Halloween scary themed event, this theme totally worked and our guests dressed for the occasion. This party was one of our best Halloween parties ever! Almost all the props you see w...

Hi Sandie, WOW! I just discovered your channel... My Haunt group was working on infinity pits and they thought it could be used for such an illusion, even throughs about forced perspective would be hard to replicate. I thought I'd look at some videos on how they did the haunted mansion and... well... Here I am and I'm a new subscriber!!! So cool to see your haunt build very, very cool!!! You might be interested in my 2023 haunt, I did a Disney Following (staring) busts in my haunt on my UA-cam channel that I think you'll appreciate, I just have the walkthrough of the haunt I don't have any build videos. I keep saying "one day I'll do it" I'd put a link here, but I don't know if I'm allowed to link a UA-cam Video in my comment without being blocked. I'll try putting that link in a second comment... either way, you can click on my channel and hope you check it out if you have time. BTW: I purchased the hollow heads from Mr. Chicken Props, he has the forms and such to make them, I added the wallpaper and frames... simple construction techniques. This year I hope to reopen my garage for an indoor haunt experience like years past, and put more Haunted Mansion stuff inside.

FYI - I got skulls from Monster Makers (full skull) and one 25lb bucket of refractory cement (same brand as above) made basically 3 skulls. This was with a solo cup put inside so I could drill out holes for eyes/nose. So count on making two full skulls with one 25lb bucket to be safe.

I love these!!! Do you think it would be possible to do the balloon method (fill a balloon with gravel for weight and add a little water. Cover the balloon in Vaseline to help it release. Then use hammer to break thin inconspicuous area and pop balloon to remove- leaving the inside hollow) that would cut down on cost as well as weight and make it possible for flame to glow through eyes. 🤷🤔🧐
