Disassembling the MF202 Workbull

Just a short video to let folks know that replacing a worn out or broken release bearing fork on your International B-275 doesn’t mean you have to split the tractor!

First off, my advance apologies for my terrible (and quite possible offensive) attempt at comedy in the beginning of the video. This is a 202 Workbull I recently purchased. Mots more videos to follow!

A quick rundown of what we’ve done so far, as well as upcoming work that has to be done. There’s still lots to do to get it ready! Atlantic makes a minor reseal kit for the top of the Cav injector pump on these machines, part #3003-3108. I think they’re around $30.00. For some strange reason, the MF parts book I have doesn’t give me a number for the seal kit (minor or major), but instead lists ...

First start up. I’ve never never heard this Massey run, so I’m excited that it was so easy to start! Of course, it’s about 30f here (-3c) so I plugged it in. Once the fuel system was bled, she fired right up!

I’ve seen this one part fail a number of times. Always remove and inspect it when you have your Massey apart! Just good practice! It costs around $100 CDN and they’re still available from the dealer. The plate on this tractor had been replaced previously, as well as the rear main seal.

When you’re putting a tractor back together, alignment is crucial.

The mainshaft pilot bearing sits at the back of the clutch assembly and is very important!

Installation of the upper and lower regulator valves (left side of transmission). I left out the oil pump and oil pan install because it was pretty awkward filming. The four 5/16” oil pump bolts are torqued at 15 foot pounds, while the 3/8” distributor manifold bolts are at about 35 foot pounds. Any questions, feel free to ask!

Just a quick heads-up on installing the loose needle bearings in the countershaft and idler.
