Absolutely loving these on my speed 400 Done about 4300kms No complaints
@@rsarathchandra6276 Hey... Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Another positive feedback from a Speed 400 rider! Cheers man 😎🙏
Alpha H1 or Steel Brace ?
@@shravanps2197 Alpha H1 is cheaper and will give more life. Grip is ok. Looks are wider. Steel is soft. Won't last long. Much grippy than H1. Bit more expensive. So I will suggest, choose based on your requirement. Thanks for your comment 😎🙏
Are the tyres round profile or v profile. Does it feel like it rolls into corners quickly or slow. In corners does it deflect and jump on small road bumps . And in braking does the front start to give up . How is the feel while cornering is it numb like the TVS or rigid like the Apollo. Any air pressure recommendations. 28 psi + or - cold air temperature.
@@TheINDIAN Hey dude... Great to see you on my channel. I enjoy your videos. Tyres are rounded like Diablo Rossos. Not as quick dipping into corners as the Protorq Extremes. Actually in corners, it soaks any undulations. Doesn't jump. During hard braking, the front stays stable. Doesn't give up. Even during trail braking, it has been behaving well. Nothing unusual. I haven't really cornered a lot... I need to do a ghat section to give more inputs on this. However, it is definitely not rigid like Apollo Alpha H1s. Haven't experimented with different tyre pressure yet. 😎👍
@@HighwayToHill excellent we have another tyre manufacturer that the public can try and enjoy. Ceat is the last one, and judging from their fabric radial I am hoping their steel radial will be good. It's time you try the Aprilia 457 for a test ride and the 400 cc market you will find something popping up .
@@TheINDIAN Yes... I think anyone who is looking at Apollo, TVS, Michelin, Pirelli, Ceat should also seriously look at MRF also.
@@HighwayToHill did you know that both tvs and Apollo have tyres for 650cc and above bikes. At 24,000Rs a set
@@TheINDIAN Are you talking about TVS Roadhound and Vredestein from Apollo?
Bro take ceat sportz rads .. take them next .. they are awsome
@@Isomaniac_doc Hey thanks for the suggestion... Will get it 😎
I would like your opinion on these tyres in ghat sections. I like cornering in ghats & would like to have good radial tyres on budget
@@shreelaad4601 It's grippy and soft so it will definitely perform well.
Nice
@@heyfarhanirfan Thanks 😎
I switched from stock tyres to these on my MT15 and the difference is very huge. Companies should give these tyres as stock.
@@jayeshwagh2871 Hey... Thanks for sharing your experience. Will be very helpful for others reading the comment section.
@@jayeshwagh2871 if brands has to give steel radial as stock, prices of bikes will touch sky. The MT15 already touched price to sky that's secondary.
Great review brother 💯❤
@@Sheil400 Cheers... Thanks 😎🙏
Good tire review is so rare in UA-cam people either do sponsorship or praise what they own without going into the detail. Great review as always.
@@justatanu Thanks so much for your comment!
These tyres comes as a stock in gen 3 duke, excellent cornering grip but the material is too soft in gravels and stones very unstable after 6k kilometres its skids in wet roads not that good as per the price, when i do hard engine breaking it slides but best cornering tyre and the material is soft so after 6-8k kilometres its grip is gone and sliding, small stones gets stucks inside rubber too soft
@@akash_0310 Hey... Thanks for sharing these insights. Yea... It is very soft. On Duke where the torque is soo high, I don't think the tyres will last long.
Can you suggest any good rubbers in 140 70 section tyres....like H1, Protorq extreme...
@@creed3220 H1 doesn't have 140 section. Protorq Extreme has 140 section but it's H rated and not W rated.
Which one should I go for ? TVS protorque or steel brace? Which one is better for handling , comfort and grip? My bike is Honda CB 300R it comes with mrf revz those tyres are shit
@@jyothismgeorge6013 I'm not sure about life of Steel Brace yet so I will recommend TVS Protorq Extreme.
@@HighwayToHill thanks bro and pls do making videos of tyres I love your way of presentation and detailed explanations. I am also a kind of rider who rides sedately most of the time and while I get open roads and some good safe ghat sections I would love to have some fun so I guess protorque extreme might work wonders for me I had watched your series on that too.

I am quite satisfied about all pros. The only concern is tyre life. I am surprised with your tyre wearout. But pls check the pattern of rear tyre is different with other mrfs that come with ktms and triumph. Thanks for the informative video.
@@mohanpappu5326 Thanks a lot! Yea... The pattern is slightly different. A few people pointed that out. Maybe the KTM and Triumph version is slightly different from the retail version.
@@HighwayToHill In my local retail store they are selling with the pattern which comes with ktms and triumph.

Are these tyres better than protorque extremes?
@@nexus3ooo As good as Protorq Extreme!
Many dealer have michellin road 5s or pirelli diablo rosso IIIs in stock, but there's a high chances that those are old tyres [ It is recommended to install tyres within 1.5 yrs from DOT ]. I got protorque extreme on mine and ngl these surely feel better than metzellers sportec m5 (corners especially). Good to see that Indian manafacturers are picking up the pace.

@@MovieGuideVS Hey.. which bike and what kind of riding do you do?
@@HighwayToHill RS200 for fast city riding and great grip because it's a non abs
@@MovieGuideVS In terms of grip Pirelli Diablo Rosso is the best. Very sticky and grippy rubber. 2nd option can be TVS Protorq Extreme.
@@HighwayToHill Thanks 👍 have u tried any of these 2 on ur bike
@@MovieGuideVS Yes, I have used all of them.
I am planning to buy one helmet and I was looking for AGV k1 series. Thanks to the stupid ISI rule I can't seem to find that and now I am stuck with kyt and ls2 likes. Any recommendations from your side? My priorities are : Protection > weight > wind-noise (in that order under 20-25k)
Hey.. Even I was in this situation. I'm only familiar with MT and I was in a hurry so I just picked up MT Thunder 4 SV. I didn't even evaluate KYT or LS. After picking up the MT, I got some recommendations for KYT. Whatever you pick, make sure it's the ECE 22.06. I actually wanted a HJC but after searching a bit and talking to a few dealers, I understood that it's not being imported at the moment. My MT Thunder 4 SV is ok... Good protection. Weight is like 1550 grams. It's noisy.... Check out KYT R2R Pro. Few people recommended. It has 22.06 ECE and ISI.

Bro i am leaning towards the apollo based on your feedback for my cbr 250r , was looking michelin pilot street radials which is a tried n tested but apollo with new waters i guess if it lasts 20k km then its worth it.
@@m.rraghav817 Hey.. Apollos lasted around 17 K kms on my R3 so considering the weight, power amd torque on 250R, it should be able to do close to 20 K kms. Pilot Streets are version 1 or version 2?
Which is best for cornering?
@@nexus3ooo Protorqs are great for cornering! 😎
Did you consider LS2 FF811 vector 2? Its in the similar price range has ece 22.06 certification. I have MT blade 2 Bought in 2019 its a good helmet never had any issue with it. I am thinking of retiring it in the coming months. I am inclined towards the vector 2 mainly due to its round shape. The pointy aerodynamic design of current MT helmets seems overdone to me.
@@shonith91 Hey... Great to see you comment here. My AGV broke and I had a ride coming up so I actually didn't evaluate a lot of helmets. Just went to PowerSports the MT dealer and picked one. Thanks for the suggestion. The LS looks great! Didn't know about it actually. However, coming from AGV, I feel the MT is rounded. Let me know your review if you decide to get the LS. I believe that if you carry a lot of tools your bike will breakdown :) so i dont carry them, also i carry old school puncture kit from stanley touchwood never have to use it ever.
@@Sheil400 Interesting... I do carry basic tools... Bunch of spanners, chain lube and cleaner and a couple of puncture repair kits 😎
Bro why did u not choose vredestein ??
It's slightly expensive and also they don't have a 110/70 section for the front. That's my stock size. They do however have a 120 section for the front. Didn't want to upsize the front tyres. Want to keep the front as light as possible.
What is the R3's rear rim width? It would be embossed somewhere on it.
@@ashwinprakas606 Umm... Not sure man. Haven't checked. I might look it up... I'm also curious now 🤔🤔🤔
@@HighwayToHill Just checked and found the specs on the internet, it's a 4.00x17, same as the Duke 390, Ninja 300/400 etc. Ideal size for you would be 140/70-R17.

I was checking out the new steel brace tires and rhe lightness of these tires was surprising considering my current 140/70 MRF Revs-S (R15M/V4 stock) tire is way heavier.
Actually I have been trying to find out the exact weight of these tyres but no luck. Not mentioned on the box or anywhere else. When I picked up the tyres, it didn't feel too heavy. Rear might be around 5 kgs or less I suppose.
