Hey, which frame sliders are you using. I've been loking for some decent dedicated frame sliders for R3 but I can only find really expensive ones. Will any framesider, which will fit on bike, work or do I have to get a dedicated one? Also do you use radiator grill or any other protection for R3?
Hey... thanks for your message and stopping by on my channel. I use RetroCross frame sliders on my bike. It cost me 3400/-. There is video on my channel where I install these, so you can check it out too for more details. It's a single point mount type. There are others with 2 or 3 point mount too I guess. So see what kinda sliders you want for your bike. I had a crash and the sliders protected the fairings very well.
I have never used a radiator grill in any of my bikes ever. No other protection.
Cheers man!
I just got the same Apollo Alpha H1 for my R3.. might be planning some long rides as soon as I get comfy with them..
seem pretty good so far..
Cool man.. Let me know how you feel on these. Do share your experience here.
Bro tvs eurogrip extream Or apollo alpha h1 which is good for d250
Hello bro can you share me where to get tvs protorq extreme in Chennai as far as I was searching most of them say the supply of those tyres are rare and it would be a long wait even if we make a demand can you kindly share the location where can I get protorq extreme
Hey bro... It's difficult to get. Even I searched and I couldn't find it. Then I ordered online from Torqueblock. The best option is Whites Road... That's where all tyre shops are in Chennai.
@@HighwayToHillGoing to install apollo Alpha H1 itself today my old tyres got no grip I was waiting for 1 month to get protorq's but no positive sign 😑
Bro i think u r the only one in India who makes so detailed reviews about Yamaha R3 and even the tires we should choose, just today afternoon I was wondering what if I equip a vredestein tyre on my Yamaha R3? What's your views i think u should give a try too
I think Vredestein is 160 and above which might be 2 sizes up for R3... Also, might be expensive I think.
Why not MRF Steel Brace?
Hi there.... When I made this video, Steel Brace had not yet released. I'm keen to try it for next change.
What is the tyre pressure your are maintaining
Hey... welcome to my channel. I maintain 30 and 35 in city. 28 and 33 on highways.
Back tyre life how much km?
15000 to 17000 kms
Depends on your bike power, torque, riding style etc.
Curious to know where do you carry out the maintenance on the bike. Is it authorised service center or workshops?
Basic maintenance I do at home... Chain clean/lube, slack adjustment, brake pads clean/change, air filter change, oil filter change, oil change and some other small DIYs. Rest I go to private mechanic.
Break pads cost the set of two?
@@ajithabhimanyam.8217 Front brakes do most of braking so the components are of better quality. As far as I know rear brake pads on R3 are rated FF. I think front are HH quality which is superior. Pads material is also different. It can take more wear and tear. So mostly front brakes in bikes will be more expensive than rear.
@@HighwayToHill ok bro tq for your kind information how was the maintenance of r3
Why not Michelin pilot street radial?
H1s have better grip compared to Pilot Streets in all conditions. For my bike, I feel Apollo Alpha H1 is a better choice.
heey...bro. suggest a good tyre for my r 3 i hardly going for the ride... mostly riding in the city.. most of the times my bike always in parking..😅 i hardly done 13 k but now i need to change pair..
I would suggest the TVS Protorq Extreme. It's really good and affordable too.
If you can't get TVS then go for Apollo Alpha H1s.
Cheers! Thanks for your question!
Bro how are ceat zoom rad 1 for ktm rc390
I haven't used it personally however f4om what I've heard is that Apollo Alpha H1, Tvs Protorq Extreme or Michelin Raod 5 are better options. There's also the new Mrf Steel Brace. Go with any of these.
Buddy i think the Apollo alpha s1 is a good tyre for bad roads specially for sport bikes....
I have also used the following
I replaced the stock metzellers at 10-11k kms
Then I got the rosso 2 and used it for another 13k kms
Then I m using the Alpha s1 as i was into a lot of bad roads for a few days and i wanted a sort of tyre that won't burn my pocket tbh and i got satisfied with the performance
For 5500-6000 a set S1 is great for bad roads...
I will be replacing them soon and now i m thinking with the three options
The Alpha h1.
Tvs protorq
Or the vredestein st
You won't be disappointed with Apollos or TVS. Haven't used Vredestein though.
how much kms lasted on metzeler?
On my 390 metz lasted just 10k kms and I am a slow rider. After 10k the back wheel started locking while downshifting even with slipper clutch. I could have used it for another 2k kms but it wasn't worth the risk.
Rad X1 or H1s ?
@@andrewcarnegie5342 I haven't used the Rad X1 so it will unfair for me to say anything. H1s are good all rounded tyres. Can also look at Tvs Protorq Extreme.
If you don't mind spending, get the Michelin road 5s best all rounder tyre.
Hey... Thanks for the suggestion. I have been shying away from Road5s because of the price 😢😢😢
Michelin ps2 great for touring as ut gives great mileage
Yes, it's good for touring and has longer life however I feel the grip levels are still not there to my satisfaction. I feel it's harder than TVS and Apollo. 😎👍
Alpha S1 doesn't have 140 or above section tyres bro.. from 140 section and above its H1
@@HighwayToHill bad memory i guess thanks for the clarification ❣️✌🏼
Good video and helpful in selecting us Apollo Alpha H1 tyres however is this the purpose of you life,
Ride the bike around the whole country and make videos on UA-cam, I am sure you will bigger things to do in your life right?
I have clocked over 65K on this bike alone and a lot more on my previous bike travelling solo across the length and breadth. I travel to a new city almost every month.
Travel motovlogs are not my thing however I do have a few videos on my channel.
The purpose of these videos is to help new and young riders who are getting their sports bike for the first time. That's my main audience. I love doing this!
Cheers!
i know about Apollo, grip is super cool, but Apollo tyres range not much, apollo make too soft tyre, grip better but kml less
Hey... Thanks for your comment. How many kms range you got? I'm getting between 15-17.5 K kms on my R3.
🥰🥰🥰🫶🏻
Your series on tyre choices is a great resource. Thanks
Hey... Thanks for your comment. 😎🙏
